On trip out east you should go to Bristol mountain in Canandaigua New York
Boyne Mountain in Boyne Michigan Perfect North slopes in Lawrenceburg Indiana Snowshoe mountain in West Virginia and Whiteface mountain in New York

Next time on a powder day, I definitely recommend trying to hit northway, over by morning glory bowl. Awesome pow there 😁

Sweeeet! Crystal was my learning mountain and the first place I instructed before moving a few times and now living in Colorado. I haven't been back in years but I might have to make a winter trip just to hit some memories. =D
I am still convinced if you can ski Crystal in all conditions you can ski anywhere. I've seen runs at Crystal as sheets of blue ice and then a day later filled with that Pacific NW heavy powder that turns to slop when the sun comes out and then is an icy hellscape the next day. There are some sweet backcountry lines from Brain Damage at the top of King to Little AK and the Doors... I have skied and boarded all over N America, Japan, and Chile- I have yet to hit Europe or NZ but Crystal is really an unknown mountain that has world-class skiing, at least in the good snow years.

You need to add meadows to your Oregon list, definitely the top resort in the state.
Meadows and Bachelor are both excellent Oregon spots!

My local spot. Been going there for years. Great community with some awesome riders. There are so many good spots on Crystal that it would take you a few days to hit them all. The hike out to Silver King will give you a greater perspective of what this place is all about. Have fun at Mt. Baker. That place has a lot of snowboard history. Take it all in! Come back when they do the LBS, it's the coolest snowboard event in my opinion.
Yep, Crystal, Baker, and Bachelor in the winter then hit Hood in the summer... Whistler is aight but really, you don't need to leave the states to get some awesome riding.
Agreed! Just finished my 4th season and crystal and I’m still finding new zones! From the king to northway to powder bowl crystal has the best terrain in the pnw at least! (In my opinion) bummed about the grow in popularity but hopefully alternative sees that and gives us some needed improvements. Next season the lowering of epic prices and the fact that you need the full ikon for unlimited access should hopefully decrease the skier traffic. This year was a nightmare especially with not loading chairs to capacity

5 inches of fresh is not a true pow day on the west coast 😂 if you can hear the cascade concrete underneath, you aren't in the powder yet! You'll have to come back when we have a 8+ inch day, those are the best days on the mountains.
the back country at crystal is the best my home mountain growing up crystal never had a park.... so happy they do now!

That mountain the day before you were there was Ice City. 6" of POW and all you can here is scraping ice underneath.

if you're planning to go to mt.baker you gotta checkout gunnars bowls or canyon gate which will lead you to the entrance of the canyon. the scenery in the canyon is absolutely breathtaking :)
That’s my local place and I have never been in the canyon but it’s really pretty up there!

you should check out Loup Loup Bowl in Washington, not much park but great tree runs. Small resort but great fun!

Sick Terrain. May have to take a trip to Washington to ride the steep sometime. Was also wondering in the cold how do you keep your GoPros from getting cold and turning off. I seem to always have problems with mine doing that in cold weather.
