- Watch our CEO and Co-founder Chris Sheldrick explain why we created a global addressing system that lets everyone, everywhere share their precise location using just three words.
Use what3words for everything from being able to share a precise meet up point with friends to sharing your exact location should you ever break down.
About what3words
what3words is the simplest way to talk about location. It has divided the world into 3m squares, each with a unique 3 word address made from three random words. Now people can refer to any precise location - a stadium entrance, a tent at a festival or a parking spot - using three simple words.
what3words addresses are appearing on contact pages, business cards, travel guides and physical signs all around the world. People are using the free what3words app to find friends faster, get accurate directions to that tucked away Airbnb and to drive, or ride, exactly where they want to go.
what3words is available in over 40 languages, enabling over 4 billion people to use the system in their native tongue. It can be used via the free mobile app or online map.

I just got this ad and I had to come tell you how creepy the first few seconds of it is, when you're just blankly staring and smiling.
👁️👄👁️ Hi, I'm Chris.
I'm convinced that companies like this make terrible adverts so that people will engage with the brand to tell it how terrible it is.
IGNORE ALL ADS.
*Yes, I know I'm not following my own advice, but this is a public service announcement.
That was the creepiest intro. Delete video and start again
He stares unblinkingly throughout the whole video he's so fucking creepy
@@nexus8516 I don't think he is "so fucking creepy", so clearly we are not talking about objective truth, but personal judgment. And that, if we like it or not, is a mirror into which we look.
@@TonBil1 I believe in comparison to the rest of the species he appears to belong to, he behaves in a rather unsettling manner and that isn't good trait to have if you want to sell people on an idea. You can believe what you want.
@@TonBil1 😐😐😐
Lol that's exactly what I came to say
He sits there lifelessly for the first 4 seconds of the ad, and then it becomes skippable after 5 seconds.
What's up with the first 2 seconds of this vid? I think your editor should be fired
So cringey 🤦🤮
What is wrong with his left brow?
Genius!
I love this app
this is rubbish
I'm dyslexic
Its absolutely awful and unethical to deny the credit for your friend who helped you out in this app by even not mentioning his name
That is something for his friend and him to sort out, not for youtube commenters, I'd think. And if you know the speaker personally, then I'd think it's something to address to him in person, not through a public youtube comment. #justsaying
@@TonBil1 It looks you are his lawyer, defending him in every comment. I don't blame you money can do more than this. You better learn freedom of speech pal.
So what about locations like “eradicate.dark.people” in the PRC, and a house in Phoenix labeled “dark.monkey.people”? Why was no system put in place to prevent offensive names?
Maybe because the are 3 random words and are NOT offensive unless you mean offense behind it. You're looking at them as sentences, when infact they aren't that.
I'm sure there might even be something like "wipe.white.people" but that's a RANDOM box with no offense or bad message behind it. If you MAKE it out to be bad, well.. then that is bad on YOUR part not theirs. Humans have made some words "offensive"..... for an AI, those are just random words.
who gives a fuck if some random piece of dirt has a randomly generated racist name lmao. get some real problems.
*Laughs in Google Maps*
Amazing
Google Maps > this
So how does one do that!?
Hi Arrian,
Thanks for your comment.
