@Mechjock I think one of the reasons we do Kickstarters is to relive that feeling. They take so long to arrive that it is like a little Xmas for yourself.
I was really thrilled. I'm very used to being at the end of a lot of Kickstarters, so it was a very nice change. Now I just hope everyone else gets theirs in so that we can all enjoy even more Battletech.
Totally jealous and I'll admit it! I signed on the second the Kickstarter opened. I have a feeling I'll be waiting a while. BTW-thank you very much for showing the little image to the right showing what was in each box as you showed it. I can't remember what was in each one and that small detail edited in is another reason why I think your videos are of a higher quality then most. Thanks for adding a little more content for our hobby.
Here I thought I was crazy getting one of everything from the ks and big plays over here got two of each! Sleepless Ronin single handedly subsidized our hobby.
And they don't have to be balanced or fair. So can be very flexible. Not that you can't do unbalanced and fun with friends ("Can a Nova eat 4 griffin 1Ns? Let's find out!). But I like stakes beyond win/lose. But at the same time it's also fun to encourage suboptimal play. But very hard to find people with the time and ... it's not the same online.
Nice I got mine yesterday but it was only a veteran pledge level limited box set with 2 Blood Asps and 2 Visigoths and the Savanah Masters for the bonus boxes I’ll get 2 of each of the Force Packs a regular box set and the rest when it hits retail
I amortized costs over time. Double Battalion + Extras. And yeah, just opening all the boxes, getting the mechs out and separating all the stuff for recycling took way too long. I've only primed a small batch... can't wait to start painting.
@@SleeplessRonin From what I've been told it is pretty much random on who gets their stuff going forward. Before (the test run) was smaller more common orders (orders that had similar requests). I really hope that I'll be getting them before the end of the month or next....will be waiting on those spinny clips. You might've lucked out on the IS battle armor, seems that a lot of folks are getting badly casted versions in their pledges.
@@Veheloth Yeah it's annoying. I don't think you got anything for being a early bird pledger since most of the stuff they said were early bird could've been added as pledge add ons afterwards. Not 100percent sure we got anything for being early birds. And now we are waiting randomly for are pledges to ship. Worst if your not in the US as they're still setting up the shipping for them.
still waiting on mine. probably will be in wave 3 or 4. just a battalion and thus missing some of the lances in the kickstarter lineup and only got 1 of each of the lineup I got but still will be quite good and a massive growth from my current 3 lances worth of mechs
Top 5 for AS: 1. Somerset Strikers because if you use pilots, you get Adam Steiner. 2. Mercenaries Box 3. Clan Cav Star (if you play clans) 4. Battlefield Support: Rifle and Command 5. Battlefield Support: Battle and Fire The Battlefield Support packs just give you a lot more stuff since you get 8 vees per pack. The other choices would be the two Legendary Mechwarriors packs.
HAHA, not familiar with the later years past 3060 but it's nice to see from the map that the Combine decided to do the war of 3039 to the federated suns and succeeded! They took everything back from the jags extended a little south into Davion space and also has a salient deep into their space. ruclips.net/video/DLDeWWiwk-8/видео.html Seems the combine was the only ones that gained, albeit only slightly more territory vs everyone else losing territory from the original houses. Oh so has Lio, good, them guys have always been the punching bags of the early BattleTech lore!
The Combine is the only house to ever take the capitol world of another house. They lost it due to politics, but not before ransacking it hard! Old Hanse's Battlemaster is on display on Luthien!
how did you know you were in wave two of the shipping? were you alerted to that? mine apparently still hasn't shipped yet and I'm becoming very impatient
I got an address verification email and I also follow QML on twitter so I saw when they said the Wave 2 verification emails were going out lined up with my verification.
Not quite, but I did loudly gasp at my first shipping quote. Thankfully the second quote was a lot more reasonable, still high, but not as insane as the first.
@@SleeplessRonin yeah I'm glad I actually have not invested in any of these kickstarters. there's too many scams and revisions and people double dipping with like the high shipping cost. I'll get the stuff I want when it makes it to retail.
@@lexington476 I don't think's scamming. I think people don't realize how incredible modern logistics is or hard random custom crap like this is. To be fair I run large campaigns and tend to provide all the mechs, so having multiples of everything is really useful.

Great video! Looking forward to getting the starslayer from Mercnaries box. I cant wait for more videos.
Nice. Hoping mine comes in soon. Looking forward to joining you guys once I finish my move down there. Should be soonish.

May yours come in the next wave!
"Make me a t-shirt with this". Dude, you can literally get that t-shirt at every flea market in the world! 🤣🤣🤣
Really nice. Haven't even yet gotten a email from Quartermaster that they are thinking of shipping my pledge. Just waiting here in the US.
With luck you'll be in the next wave. My friend is in the same boat. He's yet to get an address verification email. So it seems absolutely random.

Not an aerospace guy with that Raven Aliance shirt bold as brass? 😅

Me too
Really wish I had some info for you guys.
After Europe, and ours hasn't even been sent out yet.
I wouldn't mind if everything came unboxed just to save on shipping.
man, I got 2 chargers in my salvage boxes, and tbf one of them was a legendary pack charger but still
Your own Campaign system... Do pray tell, are the rules posted anywhere?
Not yet. ^_^
@SleeplessRonin well I'd be interested to see them when you do 😀
Hi.
If you just play battletech alpha strike what five boxes would you say is a must get.

1. Somerset Strikers because if you use pilots, you get Adam Steiner.

4. Battlefield Support: Rifle and Command

The Battlefield Support packs just give you a lot more stuff since you get 8 vees per pack.

10 pounds of merchandise and 40 pounds of packaging.
