The show was probably taped ahead of time before the producers decided to change the direction of Solid Gold. Which is really sad because it sounds like the dancers were anticipating that they will stay for another season.
This show was a local show in Los Angeles that was going to try and go national. HOWEVER Oprah Winfrey did it first and so Tom Snyder’s local show didn’t go national.
