- Cartoons, sing-alongs, adventures, talking bees, little gnomes, and flying bears? Yep, it's all here because Nick Jr. is here just for you. It's a place for you to play to learn. Just don't say ol' Nickelodeon never gave you nothing, sport.
This is a compilation video I put together using footage of commercials and episodes from shows that played on weekday mornings and afternoons (from nine in the morning to three in the afternoon) on Nickelodeon in the early 90's during their Nick Jr. programming block. It is based off Nick Jr. schedules from the year 1992. Think of it as a retro remix or a bootleg weekday morning broadcast.
This is the one hundred fifteenth compilation video I've uploaded like this, and the sixth I've made for Nickelodeon. Initially I was hesitant to do a Nick Jr. video because shows were a bit too "preschool" and that didn't interest me. However, after doing some PBS videos, I decided to reassess that decision. And while researching Nick Jr. schedules, I found early pre-Face Nick Jr. had a lot of really good shows not just for preschoolers. Also a surprising amount of anime, including my favorite anime of all time: Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics. This isn't entirely faithful to the original 1992 Nick Jr. schedules. Notably, Eureeka's Castle was cut from an hour long block of two back-to-back episodes down to a thirty minute block of one episodes to keep the video from getting too stale. I also decided to keep two shows off the schedule in this video, those being Fred Penner's Place and Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show. While those are both shows I absolutely adored as a young child, I felt like they were too "preschool" for the kind of videos I want to make. Maybe I was wrong, but ultimately I like how this video turned out and I hope you enjoy it too.

Also, I have Blank Recorded VHS Tapes of These Retro Nickelodeon, My Four Children, my 4-year-old daughter named Ellie just loves Retro Nickelodeon Animated Shows, so does my 6-year-old son named Cody, my 8-year-old Identical Twins named Keith (Boy) and Laura (Girl) also love Retro Nickelodeon Animated Shows, they were sat down on the couch in the family movie room, and they would watch the Retro Nickelodeon Animated Shows.
YESSS!! Pete n Pete, Salute Your Shorts, what about Heyyyyy Dude?? I LOVE watching all uploads that is older kids recorded off tv on a VCR. I also watch along w my own kids today! 16, 8 and 7 months old we all watch these retro uploads frm my childhood cartoons. Rockos Modern Life?? Aah Real Monsters oh man I could reminisce like this for ever. These shows bring such a smile to my face to see!
They just don’t make them like that anymore. The kid shows of today are mostly, excuse my rudeness but most of todays kid tv is crap! Fragile Rock?? Allegra’s Window, Gullah Gullah Island…the Elephant Show??

Lol me too. We didn't have cable, and my Grandmother got mad at me because I'm totally blind, so I would touch things in the house. I never broke anything, but she didn't want me touching anything, so, she just let me watch nick jr whenever I came over for a visit.

I loved watching Muppet Babies, David the Gnome, Maya the Bee, Eureeka's Castle, and Noozles on Nick Jr. I'm sure Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics was one of the shows my mom wouldn't let me watch, but man that episode sure brought back memories of watching Macario (a Spanish movie with a nearly identical storyline) in Spanish class when I was in high school.
Love this! I was 6 years old at the time and remember this lineup when I had to stay home from school. Don’t remember the programming after Grimm’s Fairytales because that was my nap time and time for my grandma’s soaps. 😂😂

Fun fact: Grimm’s fairytale classics was the final anime to ever air on nick jr, continuing to air until May 26 1995. Littl bits also stuck around until April 30 of that year
This was my exact line-up back to back from start to finish. When this line-up was done I simply at lunch and went outside to play afterwards
As always: thanks for finding, transferring, and uploading these. I find it funny, though: I remember barely ANY of the episodes. But I remember every SINGLE intro and commercial.
I am a huge Grimm’s Fairy Tales Classic fan and I do not recall this particular episode being aired on Nick Jr. due to the content. I thought it was like the Water Nixie and was banned. As an adult, this is a cool episode and one of my favorites.
I love that show, too! It could get pretty dark at times. I don't think I remember the "banned" episode you mentioned, but the one that sticks out to me was the one about a girl wearing an ugly coat and one where a princess kept rejecting all the princes who wanted to marry her so she ends up having to live with a "peasant" who ends up being a prince in the end but it taught her "humility," I guess. Kinda brutal at times but dang, I loved that show!

I absolutely remember those ICS commercials with Sally Struthers. She literally grown up ever since being Gloria bunker in all in the family. When she was gloria in the show, her hair was straight. And the ICS commercials however, her hair was very curly.

@@SleeperInTravel Well, my curious RUclipsr, Animal Jam is a television show produced by the Jim Henson Company in 2003. The show is a wild, music-driven, live-action dance show designed to be "interactive," and encourages viewers to get up and dance along with the characters. The show is hosted by Muppet characters Edi and Waffle.
The show premiered on the TLC Network on February 24, 2003, and then moved to the Discovery Kids channel on March 3rd of the same year. Thirty episodes were produced, and several have been released on DVD. The show also aired on Australian Broadcasting Corporation in Australia.
Format
Animal Jam uses real-life kids and puppet characters to teach movement and physical skills. Animal Jam hosts, Edi and Waffle, speak directly to the viewers at home and gets them physical active. The episodes consist of several physical themes including walking, flexibility, personal space, balance, jumping, marching, and physical expression. Each episodes has original songs followed by real animal footage that inspire dances and recurring games songs that viewers must follow along with.
Nick Jr back in the day was awesome. David the Gnome and the elephant show and Eurekas Castle were my favs

I don't remember Nick Jr. in the early 90s. It wasn't until 1996 when I started watching it more often when I was a kid. I might've remembered the Muppet Babies when I was a toddler.
Maaaaaan watching Eureeka's Castle takes me way back. This was back when society was a bit more held together ans more wholesome in values. Or maybe that's just nostalgia talking

Oh wow, didn't even know Nick Jr existed back then. Thought that was only something that showed up late 90s/early 00s. But I also didn't have cable back then and my only chances to watch Nickelodeon in the early 90s were when I visited my grandparents' house ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
