As a local who.walks past the monument every week, usually have this on the phone at that point, very poignant, hard to believe so many people lost their lives so close to shore .
This song puts me in tears...every..single..time. I’m a history buff and have read accounts of POW survivors. Majority of their conversations recalled all were based on their memories oh home, their mothers cooking, lovers, etc. I hear this song and I always think of every single one of them..
