Lil fashion lingo:
Jorts = jean/denim + long shorts
Shorts= trousers/bottoms that are short from below knee and higher
Capris = trousers/bottoms that hit mid calf usually somewhat fitted
Bermudas = long + shorts (usually khaki or plaid not denim)
Cargo shorts= baggy shorts + with loads of utilitarian pockets
There are loads more styles but these are the basics
