Alt history is a useless affair, but who knows how the war would've developed if the Germans didn't remove those regiments from the western front at such a critical time.
@@Lattamonsteri Nope the germans did not invent the tank. The first tank project ever was the british MK I (the long tank that you can play in Battlefield I), although I think ISP meant that the germans invented the tank in that particular hoi4 campaign
Love the ottoman focus tree on this mod. Reforming the rome or going a communist sultanate was very fun. Also you can stop the ww1 by just winning the balkan war.
I find it very interesting that the Wikipedia quote about the Fashoda incident noted that the armies of France and Britain that met in the Sudan region basically became friends while the politicians back home tried to escalate into a war.
There's actually a historical reason for Germany attritioning in Alsace-Lorraine: Their first troops on the spot were Alsatian and Mosellan conscripts... ... Who then defected and deserted in droves to the French lines.

ISP you should play the age of imperialism mod, it’s an alternate history mod where World War One doesn’t happen, instead there’s a series of regional conflicts across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. you could play as the cristeros in Mexico, attempt to restore turkey as the Anatolian protectorate, or explore a whole bunch of other alternate paths. You can have hitler coup the Austrian monarchy, or play as the Russian Monarchy.
