Olivia, I cannot begin to tell you much I appreciate your excellent videography and taking us along on your journey. I'm preparing to do the El Frances this spring and I've watched many different RUclips clips from a variety of travelers but yours are the BEST. I appreciate your honesty of the challenge and ESPECIALLY the fact that you spend so much time showing the countryside instead of your own face (attractive as it is) as most clips seem to do. You are making the experience come alive even before I embark. Thank you for showing us how beautiful the Spanish countryside is. I can't wait to begin my Camino (May 2, 2024), something I've wanted to do forever. Your clips are so well done I've watched them twice. So, bravo! Buen Camino! And keep filming! You're great.
Thank you so much for your kind words! ♥ That really means a lot to hear! Wishing you an amazing journey, filled with joy and unforgettable moments! Buen Camino! 🌄🌟
Hi, Happy New Year to you too. I walked the same stage on 1st October 2019. The big difference was the weather and the temp, up in the high 30 degrees C. Also it was my day 19 not 13, how I envy young knees, Hopefully back to Spain this year for my 3rd Camino. It always calls you back!!! Buen Camino.
Hello! Thank you 😊The weather does, indeed, make a huge difference.. There was a sudden drop in temperature halfway through October on my journey, so I experienced both 35 degrees C at the start and as low as 5 towards the end. Wishing you the very best on your upcoming 3rd Camino! It truly has a way of calling you back. Buen Camino!🌟
hey Olive: happy 2024 to you too! 🌈 Somehow I loved that part of the Camino a lot: Hontanas, St. Anton and Castrojeriz - the prelude to the Meseta. Difference of my 2 Frances Caminos to yours is that I walked each time in May/June... so many flowers, and the fields in bloom! Maybe on your next camino you might pre-book less places than this time? I can see how on some sections it might be useful these days, but e.g. for today's walk (and the next few) it would probably have been fine to be spontaneous?! I also agree with your reflection of how many kms per day - I actually walked in average 21,5 kms a day, and as I didn't pre-book anything (and didn't have any time pressure to when be in Santiago), this really reflected, what my body & mood decided on a day-to-day base... ...lovely seeing your red hair flying in the breeze... equipped with a broom, you could have taken some short-cuts, riding out the wind... 🦸♀🧹
Hello there! Thank you! 😊I loved that part of the Camino too! ❤ I'm definitely planning to return in Spring/Summer sometime in the future. Although I really enjoyed it in autumn too, the experience is probably entirely different. I'll definitely be more flexible next time. There are some sections of the Camino I absolutely loved, and I'd like to revisit them in better weather and at a different time of the year, taking some time to truly enjoy the surroundings. 😊

Happy New Year! 🎉❤ I am excited to resume my Camino de Santiago series after a short pause during the holiday season.😊
Your photography is stunning! Carrying all that equipment has paid off, at least for we who are watching from the ease of our homes... ☺
Thank you so much! 😊
Good for you! Buen Camino
Next summer this will be my stage 14. I’m staying 2 nights in Logrono. Your videos are inspiring me. Thanks so much
Thank you so much! 😊I'm really happy to hear that! Wishing you all the best on your upcoming journey. Buen camino! 🌟
