MADHYA PRADESH TRIBAL DANCE - GUDUM BAJA

Gudum Baja is a very traditional instrument of the tribals living in Dindari, Mandla, Anuppur and Shahdol districts of Madhya Pradesh. Gudum dal is called with great respect in tribal society. The Rituals of Gudum tribal Society are played by the men of Dhulia tribe on occasion like Manglik festivals and Teej festivals. The accompaniment of Gudum baja is shehnai, manjira, dafla and timki. Gudum starts with the dhun dagarchali followed by lavani, daud, gumak,taalband and lahki tunes respectively.
