BNSFguy617 I sure appreciate that! The stuff I caught the other day when we were out there will be in a different video I’m working on for a later date. I’m sure I’ll see ya around again sometime soon!
@@MainTrack not much progress yet they had to tear few building down that where to close BNSF are slow to work it seems. They get so clogged up around Tulsa though it will be nice once they get moving on it
Regarding your description: It would be awesome if Springfield and Tulsa were once again connected by passenger rail. The Cherokee Subdivision has NRGX coal trains. I know as I live on the Cherokee Sub.
Hi Mike! Hope you can make it to Carona on Saturday August 10th for the next Heart of the Heartlands railroad slide and media show. Hours are 11 am to 5 pm, bring some pics or films to show.
John Chambers- thanks for the invite! I would like to make it. Perhaps I can bring and show the Katy DVD I just released. It’s all Missouri stuff; but I bet people might still like to see the footage.
I can't speak for the east end around Tulsa, but further west, the forest opens up to plains, and there's a couple of junctions in Enid and Perry that should serve you well when you do. It's a lot of fun out there!
Awesome! I will look forward to checking it out. I have scoped out some potential locations on Google Earth. I'll have to check out both spots you mention. I love wide open prairies and grain elevators!
Awesome Video! Its always nice to see lines get good traffic. It also always baffles me at how busy Springfield is. I typically thought of it as a slow line but that is far from true. Also at 9:25, that logo is the same as the one us Columbia, Missouri Tigers use. Makes me wonder if we have a connection at all to Republic, Missouri.
Thank you! Yes, it can be a busy place. Interestingly, while Springfield is not as busy these days from a terminal standpoint, traffic has increased quite a bit in recent years. The yard is still in operation, but the vast majority of traffic is passing through. Some of my railroad contacts say things are only supposed to get even busier. The tiger mascot is for Republic High School. They have a lot of school pride in that community!
Being from Repubic and Aurora , anything Cherokee sub, is dandy in my book!
Thanks! Yes, there is definitely plenty of action on the line to keep us foamers entertained. Ha!
Well done Mike! Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Great video!

There extending the double track in Tulsa now out towards the airport not sure how far but little ways I think
Nice! I’ll have to make a trip out there and take a look at the progress!

Sweet! I hope to see some videos of Nichols Junction and the Thayer Sub soon!
Thanks! Yes, I got a bunch of Thayer North footage in recent weeks.

@@MainTrack Sure Mike. Bring it over. Trying to keep each presenter to around 45 to an hour each but we can show it.
Great work! I'm currently working on a video that talks a bit about movements on the Avard Sub, good to see info on some of the lines that connects to
Thank you! I will look forward to seeing your video! I would like to make it west to the Avard sometime soon, myself.

That's a lotta damage! Uh, I-I mean trains......
It’s definitely a good line with plenty of action. I have more Cherokee videos in the works!

Awesome…thank you! I checked out your channel and subbed, too. You’ve got some great stuff on there!
