I had even missed my flight once when I did not get any cab even after trying for an hour. Moved to Hyderabad and life is peaceful since then, affordable housing good roads and manageable traffic. Quality of life is much better here, people can stay in good gated societies unlike Bangalore where most people are forced to manage with a dabba stand alone apartment due to high rent.

Bhai, You know nothing about Bengaluru, I have been in Bengaluru for almost 8 years now and I would expect at least 1.5x salary to move to Hyderabad for the same profile. My hometown is very near Hyderabad compared to Bengaluru. During my college days, my expenditure was less than 15,000/- per month. (4 people in a 2 BHK). Now it is around 25-30K. Because of the lifestyle change. Most of the good companies provide cab facilities for traveling to the office, you can easily get a good 2BHK for less than 20k in prime locations. It increases based on the amenities you expect. A great thing about Bengaluru is you can calibrate your expenditures based on your lifestyle. I have friends whose expenditure per month is less than 10k. And he is living a healthy life may be not a flashy life. I think this Sidharth is just homesick. I am not saying that cost of living in Bengaluru is the same as in your hometown it is not. It is basic economics of supply and demand, the city has much more IT jobs than any other city, and the average package is much more than many of the cities it would cost you more to live in a city with more opportunities. Even after considering all this, it is not as costly as Mumbai or Delhi or as this guy is pointing it out to be.
