@@MyDrummingJourney Amen. Thank God he’s doing great. I’m so happy for you and your family. I know how hard it was for you. God Bless You and You’re Family.

If you don’t have someone to share whatever you have in life, makes you feel so poor. I live by myself no friends, no family in the US. All I do is work. I feel so lonely. So I will add to your amazing video, having your family &/or true friends make you feel rich (happy - complete). Thank you and blessings for you and your adorable family and everyone reading me.
I'm not sure it would work during Covid, but one idea for you is to check your local library's "Friends of the Library." You can meet some very nice people and the meetings are usually at night. Good luck, I hope you find some good friends soon.
I think so many people have changed their perspective this past year. At some point people realize that having the most luxurious car on their street is not what makes you rich. Neither is the million dollar house. Rich is happy. Rich is appreciating what you have. Rich is loving and sharing. Rich is treating people like you want to be treated. Rich is not monetary, it's a feeling and all the things you listed give us those feelings. You've learned some very wise lessons at a very young age. You have a gift and are gracious enough to share it. You are rich! 🌹 And since the pandemic started, I feel rich now that I can buy "good" toilet paper again. Oh yeah. 🙂
What I like having is good quality candles and designer perfumes, 2 or 3 bottles, set on a silver tray. I swear it makes me feel like a million dollars:)
In 2013 I had a stroke at work. This resulted in a big loss of wages and rather an identity crisis (who was I without my career?). This was an excellent video. You should be a guest on Dave Ramsey. This was wonderful. For me, I feel rich when I have cash in my pocket, just $5 of wiggle money is enough. To me, that makes a big difference so that I don't feel stifled by my budget. Access to beautiful music and art makes me feel richer than a Vanderbilt. I agree with you on amazing coffee. It's worth the effort. I try to make time to just sit and be grateful. Gratitude is something no one else can do for you, and that no one can prevent you from doing. I so agree on the pajamas!! I have a set that is the pajamas and the robe and I feel like a star when I wear them. LOL And I'm single. I do it for me.
I finally ditched wearing the oversized t-shirt to bed thing I went to Burlington and grabbed matching pajamas on sale. They are so soft and I do feel rich without spending much. Now if I could get my hair picture perfect when I wake up like in the movies....lol
What makes me feel rich is when I buy 2 or 3 sets of bed sheets that are so soft and awesome to the touch that I don't want to get out of bed. Makes me feel like I'm in a luxury hotel. Also my Clinique face creams. I can't use anything with fragrance in it so this is something I have to use. And my shower time is important to me. But my bath gel or soaps can smell good but not linger on my body due to my sense of smell is very sensitive. Not to picky on toilet paper so I'm good there.
I appreciate some of these tips. Especially the debt-free, clutter free and capsules wardrobe. But for some things, I prefer feeling more green than more rich. Bamboo TP makes me feel good. Shopping local feels good snd makes one a healthy participant in the community. Some tips aren’t doable for some since a reasonable salary is not available to so many. I like your ending. I visited a small town in Mexico a long time ago and was impressed with how happy the seemingly poor people there were. They had each other. They were rich in family and community.
Awesome that you eliminated debt! Keep promoting that as you will do a lot of people a huge service. A cloth shower curtain liner rather than plastic is a $10 luxury that makes me feel richer.
For fresh long lasting elegant flowers - orchids!!! Especially white orchids!!! Buy for $10-$15 at Trader Joes. Potter live plant lasts 2-4 months. Yes 2-4 months. Don't overwater. Like 1-2 ice cubes per week is enough water
Things that make me feel rich: 1. Living on a budget 2. Utilizing my credit cards wisely 3. Being clean and well groomed 4. Maintaining a clean environment 5. Finishing my to do list 6. Getting enough rest 7. Working out and eating healthy 8. Reading 9. Praying 10. Traveling
Thanks so much! I agree! Asking Jesus in your life and having that relationship will definitely make you feel rich! My loving husband makes me feel rich! May the Lord continue to bless you and your family
I already do most of these and you are absolutely correct on these as long as you remember to apply number 15 to all of them and living below your means is imperative
Thank you for sharing how to budget paying down debts. January I've paid off one large debt, now working on my last debt. Wow I feel liberated. I look at things in the store in a much different way. Like what use is this to me, not how fast I can through my money. Have a wonderful day 😁
A couple of months ago I invested in a single-cup Keurig machine. For the longest time my husband was against the purchase since we already have a 10-cup coffee pot; BUT since he and I have different preferences at times with our coffee flavors, I figured it would save more water. I also agree with the toilet paper bit; one thing he's pretty adamant about is that no matter how bad things get financially, if we can swing it, we're paying for Charmin. (Btw, they have a new ULTRA soft toilet tissue that is absolutely divine. LOL!)
WalMart sells great matching winter pajama sets - $10 for each a top and bottom. You can’t beat a matching set for $20! They’re super comfy, not too hot and not too cold. The pants even have pockets! Plus they come in cute prints and solids that can be mixed and matched.
Once again, great video and you definitely look like you "have it together"! A lot of the tips are things my mother likes to tell me (but I never listen, hahaha) I do like how you have it broken down and with examples of each. Keep them coming! :)
Right now during these uncertain times it really is a good idea to try to shop local when you can support your local businesses especially right now during the pandemic when things are so uncertain those businesses are struggling right now Walmart Target Sam's Club and Costco even Aldi's we'll all survive more than your local businesses will I try to shop local as much as possible because the local grocery stores that I have here are very good about supporting the community they support the local 4-H clubs in also food banks many of the grocery stores here will donate the leftover Breads and cookies and other things that will otherwise get thrown out to help other people I don't see Walmart Target or any of the other big box stores doing this when they can really afford to do it
My favorite thing about you is your amazing scrunchie accessories lol Truly, you have a lot of great content, but I love seeing the different scrunchies adorning your arm in each video. I thought it was just me! :]

I appreciate these, and I also would have liked to hear you talk about our capitalist society and low-income jobs for the context of "not all of this is achievable for everyone." Heck, just the first one, paying off loans, is something that many people spend their lives paying back with a low-income job. Again, really appreciate the tips, they're really helpful, and not all of them are achievable for everyone.

Florist here and a ~PSA~ 1.clean off any foliage that will be at or below water level 2. Prepare your vase first and give it the flower food or a homemade version with a splash of bleach and sugar water. 3. Cut your stems and immediately place in water. Many flowers close up within a minute or two of cutting. 4. Change your water after day four. Again, give a fresh cut. The flower business is an incredible drain on the earth. The least we can do is be responsible by helping the product last as long as possible.
michelle B...True! You feel like a philanthropist, even on a modest income, by regularly giving even a small amount to an organization that helps people in dire situations, such as having a sick child or a disabled veteran spouse, who don't how they will survive when one has to quit a job to become caretaker, and medical costs and bills are piling up. When you see an advertisement for or receive a thank you from the organization you've chosen to support, then you feel RICH-ly blessed.
It also feels more luxurious to not have products around that show the labeling. I have a dishwashing soap and hand soap dispenser on my kitchen sink that really makes a difference. They don't have to be expensive, just pretty. I saw this tip on another channel.
Yes decanting things makes it look and feel better. I put my cooking oils in glass bottles and it just looks nice sitting out, even though it's not less stuff out than before.
Yes! I saw that on another video, too and it makes sense. It says that your brain unconsciously tries to "read" text even when you aren't focused on it. It's make me rethink a lot of things in my home. It's much calmer now.
@@jainthorne4136 Exactly. On a tangent, it's a big reason classrooms should NOT have written posters all over the walls. But the school boards require a gazillion things be posted. Completely contrary to a calm, focused learning environment!! Drives me crazy!
The toilet paper call out was a big conversation starter in my house cause my husband overheard 😆😆 I 100% agree!! I subconsciously judge restaurants for the toilet paper they provide me 😅😅
Mine INSISTS on 4 layered toilet paper ( sorry I don't know what it's called in English) and I just don't see the point in buying more expensive toilet paper but I had to give in as that's basically the only real request he has around the house 😂
A few other things that make me feel more rich: 1) Having pets. My dogs bring a smile to my face every single day 2) My supportive and loving husband 3) Having a dependable (not fancy) car that’s paid off 4) Making my bed 5) Cozy things like lamps, candles, and blankets :)
You are so right 👍 I have my cat Angelo he brings me so much happiness & love My husband of 40 years 3 beautiful all married 🙏children and 6 grandchildren I see every week We all live near each other Ps and my wax melts ☺️ And my yarn 🧶 & crochet hook 👍
We are the house with good toilet paper. We used to host foster children and they always commented on the soft toilet paper and good smelling soaps. 🥰😍
Not living paycheck to paycheck, is when I finally felt like I made it. It's very freeing but took many years and discipline. Also, comfy, soft sheets and bath towels. It was so nice to be able to afford something else other than cheap Walmart towels and bed sheets.
I took a huge pay cut in 2013 and it has remained almost the same to the penny. I am so with you. I had to change how I'm living NOW, and live off of this income instead of continuing to live as I had before. I sure miss it. But, that is real life. I have sheets and towels I love and I just drag the sheets off the bed, into the washer, back on the bed. One set you love is better than 10 you hate.
@@yesiownfrodo I lost my job several months after I posted this comment so I get it and only use the same two or three quality sheets, depending on the weather. One of them is from Costco that are my favorite. My income has changed too and not getting as much. I'm working towards that income again but realize it'll take time. I'd still rather save money for quality sheets and towels than have to buy cheap ones again after a year. Good luck to you and hope you get back the income you lost. It's tough but you have the knowledge and discipline to do it.
Absolutely LOVE this video! I’m 46 and have always lived paycheck to paycheck! I had all four of my kids by age 26! I am now going to college to get my Masters in Social Work and I have not been in school since I graduated in 1993! A day at a time ❤️❤️❤️
Instead of fresh flowers I use greenery from my yard with a couple of wires that I made of beads, pearls, or buttons shooting up out but it’s easy for me because I live where there IS greenery available year round ...
I bought my husband a milk frother for Christmas. He barely uses it but I LOVE it! I mix a little flavored syrup in with my almond milk and I feel like a baller. Awww yeah.
Soy milk really froths. I add cacao or cocoa powder to frother & it blends well. I like my silk pajamas from Neiman Marcus. I like to lounge around in them..
A funny thing, but I actually invested in a pair of leggins and joggers that are buttery soft and comfy that cost more than some jeans. But I feel so good putting them on either on the weekend or after work. The buttery soft feeling against my skin tells me that I take care of myself and I'm worth it and it actually curbs my anxiety and prevents me from overeating and overspending!
I can’t find the article now, but I read somewhere that if you actually buy what you want to buy (given that it is in your budget and you have considered how it is going to add value) then you actually feel happier and are less likely to buy many small things as “replacement” items for something that you really want but may be more expensive.
You're so right about a minimized closet. Decision fatigue is a real thing. The more things I have to choose from, the harder it is for me to decide. I cannot go to Cheesecake Factory for that reason. Their menu is the length of a novel. Mindset...for sure! Nice video.
I discovered that we usually had some coffee at the end of the pot, so I started putting it in a cup in the fridge. In the afternoon I pour it over ice cubes and add almond milk and a straw. It's a simple thing that reminds me of my favorite sbx drink, a coffee frappuccino, and actually prevents waste.

Hi,I LOVE FLOWERS TOO!!💐
@Mary Thomas, thank you.
Thanks for the tips!
Thank you
Thank you so much for your tips as well as your honesty!
When you wake up in the morning and your healthy and no pain you are very rich and blessed! Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic.
Sharing what you have with a person or animal in need will make you feel richer.
Always 🤍
michelle B...True!
@@cindiejenkins6316 , I couldn’t agree more! ❤️
TRUTH
Yes!
@@samanthab3292 Oh that's a great idea! Thanks!
This is such a good idea!
I subconsciously judge restaurants for the toilet paper they provide me 😅😅
Yes, I've been trying to get my husband to stop buying the paper that leaves splinters 😳.
Mine INSISTS on 4 layered toilet paper ( sorry I don't know what it's called in English) and I just don't see the point in buying more expensive toilet paper but I had to give in as that's basically the only real request he has around the house 😂
YES THE RESTAURANTS! Or low key office buildings, like when I was interviewing for jobs lol
@@theeGeiisha in english the layers of toilet paper are called "ply" so your husband likes 4-ply paper. 😁
@@Elizabeth-ll4tt oh thanks😁
With an organized home, you do not spend money on replacing things you already own because you cannot find them.
That's me!!
This is so true. When I finally get done with this place, I'm definitely going to have duplicates.
A few other things that make me feel more rich:
1) Having pets. My dogs bring a smile to my face every single day
2) My supportive and loving husband
3) Having a dependable (not fancy) car that’s paid off
4) Making my bed
5) Cozy things like lamps, candles, and blankets :)
Love this and totally agree with all of it!
You are so right 👍
I have my cat Angelo he brings me so much happiness & love
My husband of 40 years 3 beautiful all married 🙏children
and 6 grandchildren I see every week
We all live near each other
Ps and my wax melts ☺️
And my yarn 🧶 & crochet hook 👍
Yes indeed Kristina.
Yes and being debt free.
We are the house with good toilet paper. We used to host foster children and they always commented on the soft toilet paper and good smelling soaps. 🥰😍
The little things can make a big difference.
Not living paycheck to paycheck, is when I finally felt like I made it. It's very freeing but took many years and discipline.
Also, comfy, soft sheets and bath towels. It was so nice to be able to afford something else other than cheap Walmart towels and bed sheets.
Cheap towels from Costco are luxurious.
Jenny. I don't like cheap towel. I understand what you say. I love a pretty elegant table setting. With a beautiful vase of flowers.
Hi Jenny
Silk pillowcases are good for your skin (from another YT channel).
I feel rich when I’m organized lol
Once upon a time what you have now is what you wished for. Helps me to keep things in perspective.
Absolutely LOVE this video! I’m 46 and have always lived paycheck to paycheck! I had all four of my kids by age 26! I am now going to college to get my Masters in Social Work and I have not been in school since I graduated in 1993! A day at a time ❤️❤️❤️
Much love and luck to you 🤗
Having a fluffy white bathrobe makes me feel SO rich lol like I’m in a spa every night after by shower
Instead of fresh flowers I use greenery from my yard with a couple of wires that I made of beads, pearls, or buttons shooting up out but it’s easy for me because I live where there IS greenery available year round ...
A few years ago we had family over and my cousin pulled me to the side to ask what toilet paper we used. 😂 I'll never forget that moment.
Cottonelle or northern...those r the two I prefer.. I just look for ibotta rebates, digital coupons, etc...
I agree with #2 wholeheartedly! When my home feels cluttered or messy, it gives me anxiety and makes me feel like I don’t want to be in my own home.
Me also veey definitely
Yes I agree
Agree and I enjoy cooking or just hanging out at home with less clutter around. Rich!
I agree 💯 %
I bought my husband a milk frother for Christmas. He barely uses it but I LOVE it! I mix a little flavored syrup in with my almond milk and I feel like a baller. Awww yeah.
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 Better than SB
Same.... I use skim milk to get extra froth... And a little cinnamon on top 😊
Soy milk really froths. I add cacao or cocoa powder to frother & it blends well. I like my silk pajamas from Neiman Marcus. I like to lounge around in them..
Isn't that like him buying you a new sander?
I love your perspective. Honestly all of the 14 things could be under the title of ways to reduce anxiety!
Truth!
Am just curious about the brand of leggings you invested in?
@@marypierce8708 me too, I wanna know!
@grishakarisha that makes 3 of us that want to know about the leggings!
LuLu Lemon leggings are very nice.
Got out of debt recently and the weight off my shoulders is AMAZING!
Trader Joe's for fresh flowers! I feel like they offer a great bargain for what you get
You're so right about a minimized closet.
