How is Belgium different to the US? I’ve never been there and I’m very curious. My country is crazy, we used to protest to use our rights, now a lot of people are protesting to take our rights away. It’s ridiculous, they protest to censor our free speech and our rights to firearms just to name a few. Some people just do not like it when someone else says something that they don’t like, but that’s when free speech matters the most. It’s very sad to witness what my “country men” are doing to each other.

And it's not as if prosecutors, district attorneys, and judges are all just strangers that get amnesia upon each and every court hearing. They see each other constantly, and develop and maintain deep relationships and friendships with one another. The potential (and actual number) of conflicts of interest at stake are incredibly, incredibly high.
