The first time I listened to this I was playing it from an aftermath of a kraken attack that me and my friend didn't survive. And had to jump on our row boat. And I thought I should play a sad song and saw stitchers sorrow. And as soon as the boat went underwater the bass kicked in we both got goosebumps. Loved this shanty ever since.
Omg I swear I experienced this as well, as soon as he started with the concertina it added to the hurdy gurdy, it was an incredible experience, just sitting there, next to the campfire, listening to the song.
After battling an ashen lord with only myself as his opponent, almost seeing the end of it, just for a galleon to sink me and take the credit by killing the few hp the lord has, and taking the loot. Instantly played that once I've respawned far away, before jumping off a cliff.
The song bring's back much memories to me. Me and my friend killed Kraken and many other moments. We played the Song together and watched the sun go from our favorite island.
I'll forever play this tune, why? A dear friend I knew for my entire life has recently died at the age of 18, this is his favourite song, I hope he will sail the seas in the calm waters, it Will never be the same sailing without you.
