  • The BEEometry is flying high with an intro look into calculating the surface area of cylinders. We purposefully avoid a formulaic approach, and instead focus our antennae on understanding the cylinder from a conceptual level. That way, we can understand it on a deeper level, which sounds as sweet as honey. We'll cover lateral area, the circumference and area of the circle, and set you up for volume in future sessions. Ah! This is the most helpful channel I have ever seen. my math teacher is great, but it seems that he can summarize a 2 hour lesson in 10 short minutes.

If every Math teacher was as good as you, we would have a bunch of Math geniuses. Great job, interesting, funny, patient, and easy to understand for kids and tutors a lot. Yay Math

Omg I HATE when math book lessons don't explain anything like the guy said in this video!!!! His math students are sooooo lucky! Keep up the good work😁

Very patient. Many teachers with probably good teaching methods/styles can be deterred by students that feel it necessary to take advantage of the fun to be obnoxious.
There are assuredly many great, fun teachers who, by showing some humanity or being down to earth, were trained by the students themselves to be less human. I blame the parents.
You do a great job for these kids and your patience, and needless to say your advanced knowledge, really shines through.
    Bravo!

+yaymath 5:20-5:45 I wish all math teachers could hear this mini speech of yours becuase it hits right in the gut! If you understand the Concept then it sticks with you for the rest of your life, if your just given directions on it, its easily forgotten, thank you :(

My teacher's way is about similar to yours. Except he only uses LA= 2B +Ph for rectangle prisms and LA=2πr² + 2πrh for cylinders. Your method makes solving for the P (parameter) and h (height) for the rect. prism much simpler haha
