Thanks for the launch tips! Your videos have given me loads of paddle ideas 👍 If you could cover off where to launch at atcham when the river is a little deeper that would be fab! In the summer we used the beach area just south of the bridge but don’t think this will be exposed in the winter?
Thanks for watching! There’s a shortage of viable entry points other than the one you mentioned, unless you risk getting on, on the other side. Time of year shouldn’t affect the water levels too much, just how much rain we have. It’s always handy to drive by these places and see what the river level is and compare that to what the river level is registered as online. Keep notes of the height where the beach is submerged and the flow rate too, that way you’ll know from home if it’s worth going there or not for a paddle. As long as the access isn’t too compromised from the bank it shouldn’t be a problem though you obviously have to take into account the speed of the flow and the nearby trees and bushes in the water. Though If you need to weigh that up then it’s probably unsafe to go on the water anyway, go find a lake or canal! Atcham is probably next on my to do list!
Awesome buddy awesome.. lovley looking river .. great drone footage.. cheers Chris & Sam
Thanks fella 🍻

@@ClutchSup thanks! Makes perfect sense 👍
It’s a nice stretch from there down to Ironbridge .
We've just paddled from Atcham to Cressage. No beaches currently due to higher water levels. But no problems launching or exiting. Fast paddle 1hour52
I saw your post in Sup Shropshire. A good flow and height at the welsh bridge was just over 0.8 today. Worth remembering Sarah.
You need to take care paddling over the old fishing weir if the river is low there are bits of metal there.
Cheers for the heads up!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Getting off at Atchem is now closed off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Farmer closed it 29.4.2023
