Nope aeisa nahi tha jisne bhi lagayi thi 1 lakh 90 k ki means 13 lot ki har un 13 lot apply karne valo me har 2 me se ek ko 1 lot Mila tha I also got that allotment because in which there was proportionate allotment and probability was 50% for the one who applied 13 lots .

Aap bilkul galat bata rahe hai ki Tata Tech. mein Shareholder Quota mein 1.99 lacs ki application mein full allotment mila tha. Sirf 1 lot mila tha. I applied in name of 5 family members but only 1 lot. alloted against 1.99 lac application.

सर जी आप दो बात गलत बोल रहे हैं ऐसा मुझे लगता है कि नंबर एक रिटेल में एप्लीकेशन 195000 रुपए से ज्यादा नहीं लगती है और दूसरा टाटा टेक्नोलोजी में 199000 रुपए के शेयर किसी को अलॉट नहीं हुए, शेयर होल्डर कोटा में रिटेल में 13 एप्लीकेशन लगाने पर केवल 15000 रूपये के 30 शेयर अलॉट हुए थे

If the issue is under subscribed then you will get all the lots.
If the issue is oversubscribe then each of your lots will be treated kind of like separate lots.
It means that let's say you applied for 13 lots max in 1 shareholder acnt. and the shareholders quota is subscribed 20 times then your chances of getting 1 lot allotted is 13/20.
In the Tata Tech shareholder case the shareholders quota was subscribed 26 times and so, those that applied 13 lots in shareholder quota had the probability of 13/26 = 1/2 chances of getting 1 lot allotted to them.
It's actually bad in shareholder quota because in shareholder quota if the issue is oversubscribed then it's a guarantee that you wouldn't get more than 1 lot allotted to you in that shareholder acn't. Whereas, in case of retail quota if you use the shareholders funds (13 lots) and apply through a lot of retail acnts (13 Acnts) then you have a chance of getting more than 1 lot alloted if you are lucky.
