I believe you have in your possession the biggest treasures of all time! We simply ROCKED OUT in the 70s and 80s those were the best years of my life! The way these artists were with the graphics of T-Shirts, movies and choreography was amazing! Back then they had passion in everything they did to create an atmosphere of pure excitement for their audience. It’s great to see that passion brought back in someone who appreciates it now in 2023 . Thanks for bringing this altogether! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
It takes me almost 6 hours to edit my 12 minute yard sale video ( still learning) but I can’t imagine the time it took for you to put this together 😮. Your hard work is appreciated! Great video!!
thank you thank you!
I've been shooting & editing digital video for over 20 years. A good editor can do 1 minute of produced video in about an hour. Some ways to reduce time: 1) plan your shots ahead of time and make sure you have set pieces planned and done 2) don't worry about getting a million shots of the same item- nobody or nothing is perfect 3) audio is always super-important 4) As you learn, keep a note of all the things you like in other videos and practice doing that. Don't copy, just let it flow in your own style. You can do it!
@@BrewdogWasHere thank you so much! Really appreciate the tips, advice and the words of encouragement 😊
As a realistic over thirty year old with my mom bod… I never wake up with a sore back and think ‘I should do push-ups today!’ The boogeyman may hide from Chuck Norris, but Chuck Norris hides from Ryan Roots. ❤️🔥
P.S. I need that grave digger!! 😍
Hahahhahahahaha , sooooo glad I know of you 🙏🙏hilarious person
@@ivermectin3191 I’m famous!! 😂🫶
@@islandthrifts809 to me , most definitely 🤘🏼🤘🏼
HS class of 82 this brought back some great memories.. thanks❤
oh wow, Ryan. Amazing collection. The quality of your videos is always top tier. Your hard work is evident and much appreciated.
I will personally admit I don't know much about vintage tees, however, I truly appreciate your passion and know what you mean about finding new homes for the items you find. That's how I feel as well, each time I make a sale I feel good knowing that item found a new home where it will be appreciated! Thank you Ryan and Alli and your amazing crew for all you do in putting these videos together and sharing your adventures with us!!! 😊Oh and also before I forget, love the video format, really awesome editing and love the style of this video!
Thank you for watching and commenting :) the support means a lot!
Wow- this brought me right back to my high school days (I graduated in 1983). I was a big concert goer & trust me, oh how I wish I still had all of the tshirts from the concerts I went to. The mid- late 70’s & early-mid 80’s were some of the best years in music, imo. Thank you for the nostalgia. Awesome, just awesome video! Thank you!!
Awesome video!!! Amazing purchases and thanks for the ride along.
Great video! Thanks for sharing this buy with us! I know you must be so excited over this!
Great video. Thanks for posting!
Great buy ! I look forward to the WN show on Friday. I agree with you that someone is looking for that "item" you are selling. In the past week, I have received two messages thanking me for a plush that their late grandson used to have and a DVD - Breakfast at Tiffany -that was a favorite of the buyer and her late sister. Now that makes one feel good inside,
I appreciate you showing them and explaining. I learned so much. So many I had never seen.
Great Haul Ryan! Hell yea!
Another Great Video!! Love You Guys!!! Keep Up The Good Work!!
Yes your passion for these rare t shirts and one of a kind tee’s is amazing. Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s was my favorite style called the “ baseball style sleeves” I still love it today! Excellent haul with a long 48 hours. Next time you fly please treat your self to first class or business class seats. Your back will enjoy the comfort. I am not a fan of Southwest Airlines. I refer to them as the c & Q airlines. (Cheap and quick) I have been a fan since years before Ralli roots roof color #4. Love you guys! Great job to Callie for all of her hard work behind the scenes measuring all shirts and preparing for the big show on the 19!
Aweeeesome video, good luck selling these fantastic t-shirts!
Great presentation...nice job! Enjoyed watching🥰🥰🥰💃💃🕺🕺
So so awesome!!!! One shirt paid for your flight. Happy for you.
Love your passion and hustle for these shirts! :)
This is a great video Ryan. Good on you for doing this deal.
We always enjoy your videos Ryan always can tell a lot of work is going into each and every one of them keep up the great work my friend.👍🌝🤝👊
Your commitment and passion are impressive. Love it!
Thank you so much :)
I loved this video! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome score right here, Ryan!! Enjoyed the vid. :)
great video, appreciate the detail you go into on the shirts and what you like about them specifically. hopefully next time you do a buy you'll have an option for a direct flight
Can’t wait to see the show. It’s always interesting when you collab with Faded
Great video Ryan!I loved it!!!
Those jackets where popular when I was growing up in high school. I believe my ex husbands brother had the Iron Maiden one, but those are pristine! That Ted Hot Chili Pepper shirt in the pile looked familiar! I think you did well, price per item! Can’t wait to watch the Whatnot! Brings bag memories! Great buy! 🦩💕
Awesome collection of Ts, that'd be a hell of a wardrobe to have !
Y'all so awesome ❤❤ Freaking out of this world video ❣❣
RATT was 1 of my favs growing up in the 80's! I played "Out of the Cellar" so much cruising in my first car a Buick Regal in the late 80's when I was in high school.
before you sell do a part 2 and show the rest of the collection loved this vid
@1:33 i was REALLY impressed by your plane flying overhead camera shot
Love It Big Vinyl Guy this killer Haul !!!
Wow! It must feel incredible to hold each of those shirt. I recently had a few really exciting hails that were nowhere near as cool! Vid goin up for the second haul soon. Anyways, I can't wait to see how you come out on this. Hope you guys kill it as usual! ✌🏼
Awesome find!
I know what you mean about the love for the shirts, I get some people think it’s corny but I absolutely understand. Sick haul!
OMG so very awesome you are one of the Best!!!!! I will be watching 😊😍
The Satin Jackets are definitely 1980s. Thanks for bringing back memories with a lot of those shirts.
Great video, awesome shirts
Love all that you guys do!
OMG! Your in my town! Another great video. 😂
What up Ryan, killer vid bro as always! Safe travels!
Never knew about vintage tees. Thanks for sharing
OMG I literally had that Maiden satin jacket...they were my first concert in the 80s! If only I had kept all my merch!
Excellent job sir, maximum effort, cool adventure, amazing editing. Peanut M&Ms rule!
Will be interesting to see how well the show goes. I hope you hit your numbers!
Thanks 😊 we will
WOW that is far! Thats awesome to get 80s band tees🥰
you hit the jackpot!!!!!!!! That Grateful Dead Tee WOW!!!!!!!🥰
These shirt really bring me back. Absolutely unbelieveable.
I kinda put Your videos on the back burner when I made the choice to sell Video Games but I picked a good time to come back as I would loooove to bid on some of these shirts assuming your whatnot sales are auction format.
Wow, what a great buy, some very nice shirts. I do like the GF Ice-cream boy, the back make it. Keep up the hard work.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Great video. 😊😊
Ahhh.. that Crue shirt. My favorite concert of the 80’s girls girls girls tour started in ‘86 a lil stop in Chattanooga Tennessee with a new band that no had heard of open up for them and Gun’s and Roses blew everyone’s mind and was screaming encore. Eventually Vince Neil and Axel rose getting into it and G&R was kicked off tour. Those satin jackets were also sold at the shows back then and were pretty common in the late 80’s but I haven’t seen any of them since then. Top notch video as usual. Thanks for all you guys do for the reseller community
Mannnnnnnnnn…I was born in the wrong era!
I have worked in tech sales for years; primarily out of the southeast. When flying for work, I always leave room in my bag or use a bigger bag because I know I am going to find time to hit a few thrift stores. If I am able to drive, even better. I've literally filled both the trunk and back seats before... okay, multiple times. I usually post to eBay the moment I get to my hotel room. There is nothing like returning from a 3 day business trip having made and extra $200 to $500.
This collection is nutz
Wow, awesome score!
Awesome shirts 🤘🏼
Ryan, I never knew I was gonna get some great underwear clips ! Oh, and with the Risky T-Shirt ! lol Love it ! Great Video Ryan .
Beyond words awesome 😎
Ill take the DIO shirt please!! Thanks for sharing! 💞✌
A Looooong trip, but what a haul!
WOW, must have been a lot of work, but what a jackpot!
Back in the 90s we had this awesome record store that had a whole section of used band tees. The shirts were $10 and they would pay you $5 for your old t. They had some of the most awesome tees. I can't imagine what those would have been worth today!
How cool! Great idea :)
Who would have thought?
Ooo beefcake and t- shirts my fav ❤️
😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️
The homie Fernando!!
Aww.. you were 2 hrs away from me... i totally would have driven there just to finally meet you!!
😭 we’ll try to come out there for an actual visit soon
After the show please give a update on how it went
Corrosion of Conformity is from here in Raleigh, NC. When I was at NC State back in the late 80's, their hand drawn concert posters were all over campus. Wish I had keep some!
That’s so awesome!
@@RALLIROOTS thanks. Raleigh was QUITE the hot spot for live music back in those days.
good job
Back in the 90's I sold some performance parts to Dennis of Gravedigger where they were in Baltimore for an event.
Love it ❤
Love the satin jackets. You know they were probably the most priciest thing at the concerts, which would make them rare. Still blows my mind that all these shirts are so valuable. Makes me kick myself in the butt for all the ones I lost thru the years.
Oh for sure, outerwear is always so expensive at shows
Maiden Shirts gotta be one of the easiest vintage shirts to sell
You should get to the UK :)
If I had the capital for a purchase like that, I wouldve done the same thing. These shirts are becoming more and more scarce and more and more expensive to source out in the wild. I understand your excitement, I have a vintage clothing and homewares business. I did thriftcon LA in December and my vintage Nirvana and Blink 182 shirts were my biggest sales that day. I recently unearthed at least 50 or more of my vintage band tees from the late 90s and y2k and am trying to decide what to keep and what to sell, they're worth thousands of dollars. Question: how much longer do you think the vintage tee market will be like this? I've noticed that the prices are starting to drop a little. I hope I'm wrong! Good luck at your sale and hope you continue to have lots of fun with your amazing inventory!
Oh and great job on the video! I thoroughly enjoyed it! I took a break from youtube for a few months but youve inspired me to start back up again soon.
Thank you! I think the market has already come down quite a bit. Especially from the peak pandemic days. I like it where it is now. Not crazy but still some great money to be made. I think this is a good spot for vintage. Hopefully it maintains for a while :) but there will always be a market for band tees imo
I prefer selling the stuff I’m passionate/ collect as well. Not convinced my side hustle is necessary profitable anymore 🤣. But it’s fun
Satin Jackets were all the rage in the 80s lol, I have a KOREA one that has a huge Tiger on it sadly it's way to small for me now. My favorite Great White shirt graphic has the Giant Great White Shark and a half naked lady riding it my dad had that shirt lol.
Love those vintage Korean and Japanese tourist satins. They’re awesome.
I was named after the band Nazareth. Sick shirt!
Dope Mortal Kombat tee!
the pushups man takes me back i did the pushup challenge years ago and i was freaking shredded 5 10 166lbs to the ouce everyday ha good score
That's my era 70's and 80's concergs
2:01 In case law enforcement is watching this, he really is talking about "old t-shirts"; not cocaine. 🤣😆🤣
How'd your vintage show go??
I would love to get a sweet vintage 2pac tee one day....👍
Gotta bring a little suitcase scale on the road

@@RALLIROOTS Pauly? Is that you?
Do you ever plan on doing vintage comic book / videogame shirts?
We’ll have quite a few up for sale in this upcoming show.

i watch your Chanel and i know you know alot about ebay can i ask you a question if i bought a blender new in box and it didnt work can i get my money back from the seller he didnt open it to see if it worked cause he wanted to sell it new in box he said no
If the item doesn’t work, yes. You’d open a return case as item not as described.
If this whole selling T-shirts thing doesn't work out, you have a backup career in video production 😉
:) :) :) means a lot, thank you Jessica!
Ryan, yes we do appreciate everything you do to put these videos together. I wish I would have know 40 plus years ago that band tees would have been such a big seller. I would have bought so many and put away to sell in the future. You’re really in your element when you’re buying vintage tees. I’m very happy for you and I’m sure you’re going to make a lot of money on these tees. Great vid as always.
I love you guys
Love you back 😘
That Motörhead Tee is so sick. I had the honor of sitting down at a bar in Clinton Iowa and play a touch screen bar top game with Lemmy for about an hour. This was in 1998 I was on tour with my friends’ band. I was 20 years old and it was an off date of the Ozfest. Hung out with all the members of Coal Chamber most of the day, hung out with Logan from Soul Fly, and almost got in a fight with Whitfield Crane (was the singer for Life of Agony at the time and in the early 90’s he was the singer for Ugly Kid Joe)
Dang! What an epic experience! 🔥🔥
@@RALLIROOTS yeah, I’ve got to hang out with a lot of cool bands in the mid/late 90’s and early 2000’s. That was by far the best experience. I spent the first 36 years of my life in Jacksonville Florida and we had a good music scene there. I just happened to have a lot of friends in bands and I was a body piercer for many years. I just got into reselling and it’s mostly shirts. I haven’t been able to find nice grails, but we got down to Florida every year to visit my mom, the rest of my family, and friends. We will only be in Florida for like 2 days this year because we are going on a cruise, but I plan to hit up a bunch of Goodwills and the flea market while we are there.
@@RALLIROOTS funny this is, I started doing the reselling in January, towards the end. I searched a video trying to figure out how to make a hanger to show shirts better and I found a video with two females making one…. It was your wife and her sister. I had no idea who you guys were and at that point, I had never even heard of Whatnot 😂
@@Retro-2-now No way! We need to do another photography tips vid. Appreciate you continuing to watch :)
@@RALLIROOTS I love watching the videos, I’m excited and jealous all at the same time 😂🤣 wish I could afford a piece from you guys, but it’s a little out of my budget. Soon I may do a challenge for myself and find a $1 shirt I can flip and just keep flipping the profits to buy a grail.
I live 50 miles east of Sac❤
how did you find this deal?
They found me
how sure are you these are all authentic vintage?
We’ve been doing this for a long time. Dates, age, tags, prints, feel. Lots of factors.
Sick sick sick
Bonkers
Would it have been cheaper to ship some of the stuff
Mayyyybe, probably about the same
@@RALLIROOTS Yeah I understand y’all are in too opposite time zones And I’m sure it’s enough margin in there to just bring them with
How did the camera get in the hotel room before you arrived?
Movie magic lol 😆
