This video aims to bring the poem "The More Loving One" of W.H. Auden, to life. Wystan Hugh Auden (1907-1973) was an Anglo-American poet, playwright, and essayist.
"The More Loving One" is a poem about unrequited love and the desire to be the more loving one. The speaker looks up at the stars and contemplates their indifference towards him, but acknowledges that on earth, indifference is the least of his worries.
The poem in this video is narrated by Dave Luukkonen (an award winning voice actor). We took care to edit the audio as perfectly as we can. It took us months of learning before we were able to edit the voice like this.
The video was created by Dream Editing. This is a very iterative process and we test out a lot different footage to give you the best viewing experience. We try not to distract from the poem itself.
