I've seen several comments about not showing up at a public venue in full camo clothing/etc.
    Absolutely correct and very important.
It's vital to not cause alarm to the general public.
Common sense, I know, but it bears repeating. (I used to be an Airsoft referee, and this was one of the rules of our club we drilled into all players.)

Another thing I considered is that i live in a tourist attraction area where parks and public space are frequently used for big events in the warmer months. I match up my calendar with the local events calendar to make sure I can find a space not occupied by large city events such as festivals, the car show, the big city festival and Canada day. All dates and times where its a big no-no when you got too many people in town, crazy drunk people and crazy car show/festival people and Ironman Trialarhon after-partiers going absolutley bedlam.

Oh yes. Structure and authoirty most important. Make sure private and public property and local by-laws are respected.
Last summer I had my wars in the evenings when the park is less busy. In the daytime, using tennis courts. Blasters must be colorful, have orange barrles ans no over-doing it with the camo and tactical gear ao we dont look sketchy.
Loaner blasters being front-loading or simple to use was also somthing I did. I got 400 pack glow in the dark darts from aliexpres.
I got a bunch of those nerf bunkrs for the wars. A little priceier but im limited on space and dont drive so its easier to carry.

Thank you this is exactly what I've been thinking about. The nearest club is a few hours away from me and is ultrastock only. I want a group that is closer and more entry level friendly, but have no idea how to start

Great video! You make some good points here. I just started hosting events six months ago. So far all of them have been at an indoor venue. I live in Northern California which is a very wet place half of the year. I keep saying I can't wait to play outside and, just like you were saying, have the public see us playing and how much fun we have. Looking forward to more of these videos!

Thanks for sharing! I'm glad it was useful!
I actually have part 2 dropping tomorrow that will cover recruitment!
If you have any info you'd wanna throw my way i'd love to feature it in a future video :D

@@botsnblasters Recruitment is definitely a topic I'm interested in. Since we have been playing indoors at a community center and soon to be hosting events at a roller rink, it costs money. I'm certainly not trying to get rich doing this, but I sure am not trying to get poor either. lol
An issue came up since we are playing on a basketball court. Proper footwear (and clothing) is very important. The only complaint I've had from that community center is staff having to spend hours cleaning scuff marks off of their nicely kept basketball court because someone was wearing other than proper gym shoes. It's such a small avoidable thing that can become a big issue. For outdoor public parks it's important, for many reasons, that people wear appropriate clothing. That mainly means don't show up in olive drab camouflage and military gear. Those may be topics for a future video. Thanks, take care!
