Turned out very nice. I am almost done with my 83 K20 with the Rough Country 6" lift kit, 37's and with the 6.2 Diesel. A very good diesel with the no longer can anyone find aftermarket ATS Turbo. As you I probably have 7k into my truck. Lots of moldings, grill parts, bumpers, almost the entire interior.

We are hoping to tackle the body work next summer and get it how we want it. She still has a few bumps and bruises but we really enjoy this truck

@@aroundthehomesteadwithsuer3497Starting my 79’ K20 project this winter. putting a 4 inch lift with 35’s on her. I just finished up a custom front & rear welded bumper. It’s pretty sick the rear bumper I hid a winch behind the license plate, and I used some magnets with a hinge to hold it on.

I know this is an old video but hoping you see this. Wondering what the overall dimensions of this deck turned out to be

How wide did you make the bed, thanks

I would have to measure it but if memory serves it is just over 6ft on the deck with 1.5 inch rails on each side

Looks cool man. Curious... Will it be required any type of mud flaps for the rear tires?

Yes from a legal stand point here in Maine we need mud flaps to pass safety inspection. We have to get that done and go get our safety inspection soon.

How much did you end up spending and would you say the flat bed is lighter than the original bed? Cool truck by the way, love it!

We are into it for about $1,200 so far, Still need to find tool boxes for it. I would guess it has to be pretty close to the same weight for sure
