As a long term owner, 9 months, I have been waiting for your review. You covered all bases, except a few minor safety features. Heavy braking causes the rear brakes to flash, if a car gets too close quickly the rear hazards flash. When turning with the headlamps on the indicator activates the fog on the turn side. Also the rider aid camera is continuously recording in 5 second increments to cover any accident event. Phone calls and turn by turn navigation if you want to use them. But a great review as always. When I first got mine, the amount of parallel twin BMW riders that had a pop was unbelievable, all calling it a BMW copy. Not so much now. The bike is the second biggest selling bike of 2024 here in Spain over 2500 units, only slightly behind by the 1300 GS. Ride safe buddy.
@chrisbittlestone9264 Thanks Chris, it is uncanny but obvious the feel and ride of the Voge, compared to the BMW. They are virtually the same. At the end of the day it's about affordability and a resurrection of motorcycling for as long as the eco crowd allow us to use fossil fuel engines. The overall premium package of owning a BMW is still there, but only for the people with deep pockets. A perfect example is that I still use a iPhone for my personal phone it's not a cheap item. For work I always used a top tier Samsung around €1200 Now I use a decent Xiaomi €500 it does the same thing. The amount of people who stop me to talk about both the DS 900 and my Voge 300 rally is crazy. Brand snobbery is slowly ending, it's more about the ride than a badge. Ride safe buddy.
@motechRevolution Thanks for the real world feedback - I'm living in Spain at the moment and I have to say I have seen loads of these on the roads here in Marbella - Not yet seen one new GS!
All bikes look good when new. Ill be impressed seeing how it handles living outside during a British winter. My chinese 125 looked like the hull of the Titanic after 800 miles
This is my current concern with them. I'm really tempted but I've seen other peoples Chinese bikes after a couple of years and they're rotting to bits. That said, it's not like Suzuki aren't known for rust either. Seeing how much things like Royal Enfields are worth after 4 years, I can wait. If they hold up alright, these will be an absolute bargain in a few years.
My brand new 2016 GS1200 was rusty after the winter of 2016/2017. Mainly the luggage and tubular framing around the bike. BMW refused to do anything about it. So i'm not entirely sure rust is limited to chinese bikes lol...
I have a 2023 r1250gs bought from brand new. Living in an area with many thief activity and I am constantly having the fear of taking out the bike or going somewhere because is like moving a little fortune. Wish this bike was on the market before I made the purchase , voge gives it all , perfect commuter , perfect for trips , perfect for big tours. I think that’s the end of the big brands if they don’t get the prices down. The Chinese market is taking a big portion of the market pie and we are expecting more to come ! Great review again missenden , thanks for the video
I'm curious to see if chinese are going to impact european premium brands. There already are very capable japanese trails pour half the price of a GS with top notch reliability and a good network, and GS still sell like hotcakes.
I did used to have an impossible to pronounce Chinese 125 that was a clone of two Suzuki’s from the 80’s bolted together purely to ride in London because of two bikes being stolen in as many years with locks on. It was £800 ride away, while a 20 year old Japanese 125 would have cost 50% more.. so I figured it was almost disposable. Nobody ever tried to steal it 🤣 That was… wow more than 15 years ago. They really have come on a long way since then! I rode a CFMoto last yeah and really couldn’t fault it at all
Well its Chinese. I remember the negativity around Japanese cars in the 60's. China is far less predictable than Japan. If this as good a value as I've read, I'd buy one.
Great review, seems like a remarkable bike. Overcoming the brand stigma is their biggest challenge, they certainly seem to have the product and cost a bang on!
Pleased to see you giving the Voge D900SX a positive review, it is indeed a hansom looking adventure bike that is very well built, well equipped and best of all at £9K excellent value, which is why I am looking forward to taking one for a test ride in the spring.
Failed 😂-it’s a DS900X-as to snatchy throttle-it’s a tad snatchy but you can update the software yourself using an android phone. Mine shipped with 4.3. It’s now updated to 4.7 and fuelling is perfect . Great review, as usual, Andy.Another minor complaint is putting it on mainstand. The stand is a bit hidden behind foot peg and it’s quite a heave, especially for anyone with a dodgy shoulder 😜
That’s crazy, surely as part of the dealer prep any upgrades on software should be carried out. It’s not as though a bike or car is like a TV say where you unbox and it’s ready to just plug in. Fuels, oil brakes handlebars etc all need to be checked are ok.
I have finally accepted that im too old and tall for the r1. So this is the bike i have decided to try. Too many toys and great for my 6'7" frame. Will keep you posted on if i buy it this weekend!
Great review, as always. I like the fact that it comes with all the bells and whistles. Mainstream brands give you everything as accesories with a premium price, I love the fact you have to pay for a comfort seat. They don't market the standard as uncomfortable! It looks like the voge only runs on E5 I'd imagine the cost saving is in some of the cheaper internals, meaning it can only run on E5. It's not a deal breaker but a shame none the less.
Great review! and don't forget to mention the right angled valves on the wheels 😁Such a small thing that makes a big difference to ownership. I'd be seriously tempted to buy one as a second bike for commuting on, it has everything you need and bonus features of heated seat and blind spot detection, plus you'd not worry so much about it as you would if you'd splashed out £20k plus on a KTM or BMW......
Thanks Andrew - sadly it's not, sitting here typing in quite some pain!!! :0( Oh well, could be worse, a lot less fortunate than me with just my painful shoulder.....cheers for watching!
Great vid Andy, and a really posative review. I totally agree with your well know remark "ignore Chines bikes at your peril". I was down in Christchurch at Destination Triumph, and looked in their KTM / Husqvarna /MV Agusta / CF Moto dealership next door (called Destination Motorcycles) and had a look at the CF Moto 440RS, and have to say, it looked amazing, it was well put together, and was very highly spec`d. The build quality and fit and finish was as good as any other mainstream manufacturer. The proof of the pudding is in the eating as they say, so it would be good to see how they fare after a few years everyday use in the UK, but the first impressions are excellent. Maybe you should try it, and it`s naked sister, which i can`t remember the model number / name of. I have to admit, if i wanted a small sportsbike, i would seriously consider it. Again, a really good posative review.
This was a splendid review of a motorcycle that appears to offer outstanding value for money. So long as the dealer network/manufacturer stand behind the product this seems a fine offering indeed. Next element though will be ease of service/cost of ownership.
Every review I have seen thus far has applauded this bike and it looks the business I think you can't be biased and ignore these bikes especially with prices being the way they are, This could be the way ahead especially with all the bike dealerships struggling, it is time for them to take note yes it must cost a fortune in R and D but if you can't sell your product well you do the maths. Thanks again Andy for a great review wishing you all the best for 2025 ❤
Incredible value and the fact that this company make the motor for BMW plus the other branded bits is nearly enough to drag me out of my biking slump! Sold my Triumph Speed Triple 94R in 2018 to fund a vehicle for my new business. Hmmm ? I am very tempted I must admit. Nice review, thanks, Andy.
With the exception of Royal Enfield the Chinese are set to take over much of the bike market unless the established brands do some serious repricing. Long term reliability will, I believe be the deciding factor in the end.
@@NickyLong89 But your CF Moto 4 year warranty is administered by KTM in the UK - and they have such a good track record of prompt sorting of warranty claims !
They'll only "take over" because the focus of people now days is purely cost. Not just on motorcycles, but everything! In fact it's the only thing that matters to many.
@@jimmyjam8795 I don't agree, there's a difference between cost and value for money and that's where the Chinese excel. IMHO the big brands of virtually everything are going to regret moving their production to China becasue it's accelerated the development of their own domestic product.
Does look a great bike and I'm with you on the black one looks quality and I think we will see more of these in the coming year with that price. People want all the goodies that it offers as standard might change there minds. Ride safe and see you on the next one
@ not had a date yet I believe its a bit harder to register the bike because it’s 2024 model been about 3 weeks since the order .ordered from bolton motorcycles brilliant people very helpful
Great review 👍 I had a BMW F900XR which has the exact same engine and all I ever heard from other BMW riders is it's a Chinese engine so it will leak oil and won't last. I never had a problem and it never missed a beat. If I was on the market for another adventure bike I would look at buying a Voge, but I do have a dealer in walking distance from my house 😊
If I were thinking of going back to a GS-style bike, this would definitely be in my top three. Reliability and dealerships are important factors to consider.
We moan about high prices in UK, and the fact that everything is an expensive extra, then we moan the govt has no interest in 2 wheel transport.......Then along comes the opposite of that, and some are still not happy 🤷. Hard to argue against what this bike offers. Cheers Andy.
@@Grahamvfr except that any new bargain priced Chinese made product tends to be shiny and awesome when you leave the shop (you are really buying "happy shopping feeling as you leave store") but disappointing as you throw it into the bin a few months later.
@@Grahamvfr yes, I totally 100% agree with you, but, I would argue there is a difference and that is that we have now been buying cheap Chinese products for many years now and our experience still is that they tend to crap out much earlier than more expensive non Chinese versions of the same thing. But YES, before you say it, I agree we all use relatively reliable and long lasting Chinese made cell phones, lap tops etc - but the thing is they are FAR from "cheap". So what I'm arguing is Chinese quality comes at a price and if its cheap it probably will still be as crappy as our collective experience tells us it will be. Go to any landfill and look at all those shiny new looking Chinese products!
@user-us1hx2cx3j I'd never be so naive to suggest the overall quality matched Japanese or European equivalents (well apart from engine, brembos, kyb suspension), but just because quality isn't 'as good ' that doesn't mean it's bad. Time will tell, I'm devils advocate as I'm unlikely to buy Chinese in near future because there's so much equivalent price choice on second hand market. I just feel for the price in today's market place, the voge is not to be dismissed.
Nice review Andy. Informative, balanced and unbiased. I have been waiting for you to review this as I think it is an absolute bargain and I don't mean by that cheap. It looks great and from your review it seems to ride well. The level of equipment is impressive and pretty thorough. The European manufacturers need to watch their backs. By the way, have you stopped wearing your Healite Air bag. I recently bought one and wear it all the time, cumbersome though it is sometimes.
Yes I have - too much faff and weight and a pain in the summer - I know I'd regret it if I came off but overall comfort and bulk also counts for something safety wise.
Morning Andy, good review as usual. It looks to be a great bike and incredible value for money. If I was in the market for an adventure bike, Voge would be up at the top of my list.
One thing I think needs acknowledging is that part of the premium you pay for an established brand such as BMW, KTM, Honda etc.goes towards a worldwide dealer and aftersales network, something Voge currently lack. Resale value and dealer support are my concerns with these but if you live near a dealer and you keep your bike for a while rather than changing every couple of years that's not such an issue. I think bikes from the leading Chinese brands like Voge and CF Moto will follow the same trajectory as Kia and Hyundai in the car world. Decent but unexciting products, loaded with extras, sold with good warranties at great prices then suddenly taking a huge leap in design, quality, desirablity and of course price. Interesting times.
@@TheMissendenFlyer I agree with that statement Mr Flyer, so, so, many new MG's driving around at the moment and again looking at the build quality, fit and finish and of course price it's easy to see why. But, as I state in my comment above , How long will these things last before wearing out and this is the million dollar question for all of us. Time will only tell.
Owned one since October not been able to get out as much as i would like but a lovely torque curve and comfortable ride. Can't fault it such good value. Everyone does this when nee brands come out but remember Skoda and Dacia in the car world they have smashed it!!
I feel like these have come in at the perfect time! I’ve been riding well over 20 years now most of the years daily and I’ve had many Japanese and European bikes! The Japanese bikes prices have went up and the quality down over the years where these seem to be heading in the opposite direction! Great review
Hey TMF. That is incredible value! I just checked and here in France you have to pay an extra 1500€ to get the luggage on top of an 11K asking price. So it would be cheaper for me to fly to the UK, buy one, ride it back and register it here rather than buying one from my local dealer! That’s nuts!
What you're saying is sadly a fact; luxury and "lifestyle" items tend to be more expensive in France, whereas nitty griity stuff like DIY tools and materials are cheaper, in Brico-Depot anyway. BD is owned by the same comapny, Kingfisher, as our expensive B & Q! Go figure.
Great review on what appears a great bike. I might have to have a try myself 👍. Second-hand prices are currently around the 7500 mark but with a squeeze, maybe 7000
Cracking review mate, your right about the value. Chinese bikes are here to stay and if they can turn the negative opinion round the other big manufacturers will be concerned
Hi Andy been following you from when you started. Great reviews and general information for bikers. The Voge bikes are absolutely amazing value and I the quality is amazing. Why wouldn't you buy one or any other Voge bike. My only concern is no one is questioning why the bike is such good value. I think people be clear to the reasons why . I think it should be a consideration before buying one. China have little design and development cost because they rob other manufacturers desgine and technology . Works have scant rights compared to bikes made in Europe. They by lip service to zero carbon or general climate pollution control. They use cutthroat pricing to kill off the competition. These are the real reasons for the value in the bike. Dose it matter if they consumer is the winner. I think longer term it does. Bike manufacturers are all struggling to survive and manufacturing jobs in general are being lost in Europe . Its difficult to buy anything these days thats not made in China. Its good to point out the difference in price and value but it important to know the reasons why. Manufacures that chose to produce bikes in China to improve there margins will be regretting now. Lets hope will still have other motorbike manufacturers left to draw any comparisons with.
It will be interesting to see how it ages. Especially in the UK. I travelled to Ireland and was amazed how the motorcycles there were cosmetically damaged. i.e. Paint flaking off shaft drives (Salt maybe). It would be great to see Andy riding in Australia, I’m sure he would love our long open roads.
I don’t have all the figures but the main issues for me are service intervals, dealer networks and availability of spares. The CF Moto bikes also look good but the service intervals are half that of say a BMW. Not an issue if you’re pottering around town but if you want to stretch its legs to say Nordkapp, well then you may have an issues getting maintenance work done and maintaining a warranty, for what it’s actually worth. A lot of big RUclipsrs are testing and reviewing these Chinese bikes but I’m yet to see anyone actually part with their own cash to purchase one. Personally, I’d stick with one of the big brands.
Yes all fair points - as I said, I guess time will tell as to how well they do in the British market. As it happens I'm in Spain at the moment and I have seen loads of these on the roads here (more than I have seen BMW GS' !)
Enjoyed review, great bike coming on leaps and bounds in fit and finish don't know what happened with your series with used machinery from superbike factory but would love to see you take out second hand bikes from your local dealers see how they are baring up to time and use. Especially if there's a new model out and there is a big savings to be had for thise of us that can't afford new big brands.
Brilliant bike ... Uses the bmw engine.. I've ridden them quite a bit now easily as good as the big brands There are quite a few software updates available now 4.7 ? which makes it ride even better 😀
It looks like a decent bike, and for sure great value for the money. These are going to set a bar others will struggle to reach, if they get their dealership experience right. The minor points you touched on are really just in keeping with what you are buying, I think each iteration is only going to go in one direction ☝
Andy, as usual a great review. From the specs you’ve outlined it’s amazing VFM. Regarding longevity surely the main concern in this category is the engine, so with the other bike brands you have mentioned that share this lump you ought to be assured that longevity is no worse than the industry standard and may even be better. Slickshifter, the notchiness, if there is such a word, between first and second is probably the result of the large difference in the ratios of these two cogs. Same on my Striple which is why I always use the clutch between those two gears. I assume you are able to use all three pieces of luggage at the same time, unlike the Kwacker you recently reviewed?
I'm a Triumph man through and through but if I was in the market for an adventure bike this would be on my list. Huge value for money! I know it was just a slip of the tongue as you'd just said 17 litre fuel capacity but you said it had a 17" TFT display 😂
I think I'm about ready to take the gamble and try a Chinese bike this year. Voge and CF moto are both the brands I'm looking into. They are certainly value for money and as I have always done my own work on my bikes, as long as parts are available, I have few fears now. It's only a matter of time until they become mainstream and more motorcycle dealers realise they cam make a good living from them.
Nice vid. It's definitely an interesting proposition. Time will tell I guess as it needs a significant number of long term owners to really put it through it's paces before it can be judged properly in terms of build quality & reliability etc. However, at face value it probably is worth a go for this price.
I saw it at the NEC and it was definitely worth the attention. I think side o it looks very much like the BMW F 850GS, I think think the badge was the only difference, oh and the front, better looking with camera. Thumbs up from me.
Defies the price point that’s for sure. Interesting decision to put the cruise control wording ‘set’ etc on the side of the instrument block you can’t see when riding the bike, which is when you need to see it!
Worth the risk? Yes I do think so! If you are a new rider in the category that can’t do anything yourself on your bike and want a risk free maintenance for a few years. Buy it! I remember when the first Chinese cars came out then we thought they were absolute rubbish but after some years they are dominating the marked for budget cars. I do think Chinese manufacturers have learned and today they are good. Of course it’s not the same as a BMW but still nearly half price I would buy it if I was in the market for a budget bike! Great review again Andy.👍
Intersting review! Im no brand snob a bikes a bike and the end of the day. For the price a bargain compared to other brands who over charge. This one will turn heads.
Good comprehensive review, there's certainly a lot of bike for the money, the sticking point for me is will it last on UK roads and the weather, but definitely a viable option if your on a tight budget, they will possibly drop 2k within 12months as well, thanks for sharing.
Hi Andy, bike looks great and appears to ride well. Not sure I could get over the feeling I’m riding a cheap Chinese bike though. How the bike makes me feel has rightly or wrongly always been a big factor in motorcycle purchase decisions. I guess if I wanted an all year commuter that just served a purpose it could work. Nice review as always.
Thank you, Chris, and I get entirely what you mean. It’ll be interesting to see where the market is at in 10 years and whether we still feel the same. Do people who drive Kia’s feel they are in an inferior Korean car?
Morning Andy I think it’s one of the best looking adv bikes on the market and fully loaded with all luggage and all the tech for£9000 is absolutely amazing and black /gold is my choice I reckon a definite test ride is in my mind the only thing is how far is my nearest dealer to me being Colchester area because I don’t want a long trip just to get to the dealers for a service or if something is wrong but I’m very interested great review Andy take care mate
The old BMW dealership in long Eaton that closed down is reopening as a GB moto dealership soon and I’m thinking about going to look at one of these bikes, it’d be perfect for work
I suspect some who question the Chinese also questioned the Japanese in the 70’s and 80’s. Without whom we’d probably not be riding bikes in the UK anymore. Let’s hope these great value proposition bikes encourage more riders to take up two wheels, or at least stay with two wheels in the face of catastrophic price inflation from the incumbents. Like it or not, the UK is trading on past glories, and we might as well enjoy our first world status for the last few years before the Great is finally lost from Great Britain.
Completley off topic but the 'Great' in 'Great Britain' has nothing to do with Britain being good or wonderful. The term "Great Britain" was used to distinguish the island of Britain from the smaller, similar-sounding French region of Brittany. The term "Great" comes from the French word la Grande Bretagne, which was used to distinguish between the two regions
A probable contender for a replacement to my big GSA when I decide to let it go. That will be a good few years away though still (hopefully) so hope the next iterations of the Vogue ADV bikes are equally as attractive in looks and price. Thanks for vlog, TMF.
@@TheMissendenFlyer, you need to get up to Yorkshire some time soon, not too many white vans up here and open roads aplenty, a few sheep perhaps , and , our famous welcome , get a tour planned, immediately if not sooner and we’ll show you around “God’s Country “.
Certainly looks the part, and having read a few other comments, especially those who have rode/got a Voge, definitely worth a look at for those on the lookout for a new adventure bike. For the price, with a better service support, it should fly off the shop floor.
Well Andy, you certainly poked the bear with this one, maybe next week you could do a review of the Xiang Shuai XS650N, a Harley Davidson 883 Iron clone then a Chinese electric motorcycle the following week. That would certainly stir things up 😁
Great first review, not sure I want to try it (having spent nearly twice as much on a Tiger 1200 Explorer last year) in case I like it! will be an interesting year to see how the other manufacturers respond to compete with the Voge value which can only be a good thing for us on two wheels.
As I understand the market, VOGE is pretty big in Spain and a number of reviewers (can't think of any beyond you Andy, specifically by name) have said nice things about their bikes. I don't think they have any presence in the U.S. I think CF Moto has the highest presence for Chinese made bikes in the U.S. but I could be wrong about that. I see ads for sales but I'm not sure about the support and availability of parts. Thanks for the perspective, Andy. Cheers.
As it happens Sean I'm in Spain now (escaping the British winter) and I can confirm Voge are popular here! They obviously work in a Mediteranean (sp?) environment, time will tell if they work in the damp salty Blighty one!
biggest issue with this bike seems to be support from the network. e.g if you update the software yourself and brick it who is liable for the cost? also not sure about that quickshifter. cracking looking bike though, sat on one at the bike show, very impressed. resale value may make it expensive to own over better known brands....time will tell. and lets not forget this is only assembled in China like a lot of other bikes, but it's a parts bin special - brembo - kyb etc
Hi TMF, You regularly comment that this is a golden age of motorcycling, with which I agree. I think this new generation of Chinese motorcycles are going to take it from golden to diamond because at the very least, they will drive down the prices of all motorcycles to more affordable levels. I’m sure we’ll soon be seeing many more models of Chinese bikes and even if there are teething problems, they’ll quickly be sorted - just as happened with Japan in the seventies when I started my motorcycling life. Me personally, I’m not really into the bikes themselves, I just love riding them. What I want is comfort, reliability and the joy of the experience, I don’t really care what model I’m on. I believe that experience will get better and better as these new models reach the market.
Yeah, if your in the market for an adventure bike, overlook this one at your Peral. Defiantly looks like one to test ride and add to your short list for sure.
Thank you, TMF. Excellent review. I own a Goldwing Tour 2024. It's not a daily bike, so I bought a bike I could potter on. I looked at Voge and was so very impressed. In a way, it was too good to be true for the price. I got scared, so I for the safe option and bought a Honda XL 740 Transalp. It comes with nothing but an engine. Don't get me wrong I love my Honda but I wonder if I should have held my nerves and bought a Voge. I guess in few years time, once we know a bit more about the reliability of Chinese bikes, we may no longer be willing to put up with the stinginess of the Japanese, European and American bike manufacturers.
I’m about to buy a Goldwing Tour 2025 but I am seriously questioning whether I shouldn’t buy a Voge 900 instead. There is no question the Goldwing is a better machine but the almost £25K price difference is hard to ignore.
@@TheMissendenFlyer Yeah, I know, the Goldwing is rather special. I’m pretty sure I’ll be buying one, I need to get my order in by the start of Feb to be sure to have it when the new registrations come along in March. My other bike is a Himalayan 450 and I’m increasingly thinking I’ll trade that for the Voge. It’s really nice to have all these options.
Nice review TMF. Looks great and that spec is ridiculous for the price! My main hope with these Chinese bikes is that it will force other brands to lower their prices. It was getting to the point where only the rich could buy new big bikes and that's bad for biking and bikers all round.
Thanks for a good review. With the cost of living being what it is, this bike offers the chance to some riders to own a new bike fully equipped, rather than a second hand one. As these have been sold for sometime in Europe, there doesn’t appear to be any worrying reliability issues. The public will vote with their money, and by all accounts, are doing just that. You can’t ignore the Chinese brands, and I suspect that there’s more to come our way in the next few years. Brand snobbery and brand loyalty certainly isn’t what it used to be. Thanks again Andy.
Hi Andy … I am trying to not like this and justify our more known brands but struggling …. It just looks very impressive especially at this price point … these buys are real going to keep our traditional brands on their toes… As per my comment on the 525, depreciation will also deter in how true long term value pans out… This or the 525 could be a candidate to replace my aging big Yamaha trailie !! Thanks.. Mike
Chinese bikes will change how people buy bikes in the near future. You can buy 2 for the price of one. Quality won't be an issue, there's enough good reviews over the past 2 years. I would Buy one of these and a CFMoto 675SR, If was in the market, I own several bikes but lack the room... though very tempting.
Yes that is my hope too - I'd like to see the more mainstream established brands giving us VFM bikes rather than top end only machines. Well done Honda for example giving us the sub £10K Hornet 1000.
Regarding the top box it works perfect.and there is a little bar type button under the top latch that you depress to allow you to open the top box very easily mirrors simply need locking nut nipping up tighter.ive had no isues.you missed the constant running 1080p front camera that also has a button to takephoto stills built in nav
I don't think they will be any different to anything else, my 2023 GSX S1000GT is worth about half the price I bought it for at the moment and I still have 18 months to pay and a balloon payment !!!
Unless the big established manufacturers step up their game and lower their prices, these Chinese brands are set to do what the Japanese did to British bikes in the 70s. Loving the autumn colours, it's better than snow
Well, a top selling bike in Spain and as for the UK our local dealer has a 3 week waiting list for a test ride and has requested an increased allocation for 2025 as he has almost sold out. I have no idea what his allocation was of course BUT it seems people are being much more receptive to this bike than the anti Chinese comments might lead you to think!
the CF Moto 800MT sold out its allocation very quickly in the UK, all the dealers were told to sell their demo's. As for the 450MT, they didn't even make it to showrooms before they sold out!
I've liked the look of these since I saw one in my local dealer, and seriously thinking getting one when I graduate from my 125, which coincidentally is also chinese
So seriously tempting, remarkable value for money! I don't think any of the mainstream manufacturers actually offer value for money, they're all too expensive ! In reality China are actually world leaders in engineering these days!
As long as they are reliable and have proper support from dealers, China made bikes are definitely worth for the money. I'm personally using a 450 MT daily. Too early to comment on it's reliability but no issues so far. It comes with 5 years of warranty in my country. I'm utterly disappointed with my local "popular german branded" dealer for failing to bring in a bike that I wanted which was launched in Oct of 2023. 😥 The 4 cylinder road version of the world's most popular off road motorcycle. Take your guess...
Thank you for a great review. Can you comment on vibrations please? What is the vibration like on the hand grips and foot pegs? Local dealer in my town can’t get a demo not until April😢 can’t wait to try it. Thank you again and safe riding.
I think I would like some further clarity personally. I’d like to understand clearly the sort of factory and conditions the manufacturers, suppliers and overall workforce perform under to produce these brilliant machines. The product sounds outstanding and I am personally very tempted as a commuter of 7yrs and a biker for 19. I don’t think any sort of research serves us well here to find out though.
I can only speak as an owner of a 500 dsx of 3 years and had no evidence of it rusting to destruction the oniy complaint is the spoked tarnish no problems on the reliability
Andy I'm sure for somebady with a stable of bikes doing limited miles its not an issue but for Joe Bloggs who only has one & uses it day in day out all year perhaps not. Whilst some quality improvements may have been made longevity remains to proven in typical uk seasonal weather.
A decent bike on paper that is priced to own. Not an inflated price that is aimed at the PCP market. Too many bikes are out of reach of the average rider unless they get PCP.
Worth a risk ? I thought so and it’s brilliant so far. Same motor, frame, wheels, brakes, suspension and electronics as F900GS for half the price, if you try spec up a GS to similar levels.
That is a lot of bike for the money, especially including all the luggage, not so long ago we would be talking about terrible depreciation with Chinese bikes, not now.
Yes, David - Chinese bikes have come a long way since the first ones I wrote about 10 years ago which seemed to be made of cheese. That is not the case now.
@@TheMissendenFlyer Where you based? I m in San Pedro.
All bikes look good when new. Ill be impressed seeing how it handles living outside during a British winter. My chinese 125 looked like the hull of the Titanic after 800 miles
True - but things have moved on since those Chinese 125s of a few years ago….
I think it is great. A wake up call to other manufacturers regarding price. If the finish lasts it will do well.
@@TheMissendenFlyerI have heard from an owner that the paint loses it's lustre after a year. How does it look on the test bike Andy?
My pleasure!
Nobody ever tried to steal it 🤣
That was… wow more than 15 years ago. They really have come on a long way since then! I rode a CFMoto last yeah and really couldn’t fault it at all
And que the bots in 3,2,1…
Well its Chinese.
Dankeschön, eine sehr gute Vorstellung von Dir und diesem Modell. Fahre sie schon seit August 2024..! Top Motorrad..!
Iv watched all the reviews, this is by far the best! thanks so much for sharing :)
Wow thank you!
Glad to hear that - “failed” is a bit harsh!
@@guyr7351the upgrade came out after I got my bike . Not crazy at all
I think the op means he received an update after he bought the bike. Like how Tesla's get updates.
I have finally accepted that im too old and tall for the r1. So this is the bike i have decided to try. Too many toys and great for my 6'7" frame. Will keep you posted on if i buy it this weekend!
Let us know how you get on 😊
....yes please keep us posted Adam....
Very interesting review Andy
Hope the shoulder is improving
All the best
The details you provided on the performance and features of the Voge D900SX will definitely help me make a decision. Thanks for sharing! 🔥
Glad it was helpful!
@@TheMissendenFlyer I look forward for sportsbike review from you. Thanks sir! 🙂
Thanks again Andy for a great review wishing you all the best for 2025 ❤
All of that for under 10K is incredibly good...if it lasts. I'll be interesting to see the long term reviews on MCN in a couple of years.
Indeed….
Thank you for watching!
With the exception of Royal Enfield the Chinese are set to take over much of the bike market unless the established brands do some serious repricing. Long term reliability will, I believe be the deciding factor in the end.
I agree all round David!
4 year warranty on my CF Moto, it's a good start!
Brilliant review as always just waiting for my green 900 to come 🤓
Congratulations, when is it due?
@ not had a date yet I believe its a bit harder to register the bike because it’s 2024 model been about 3 weeks since the order .ordered from bolton motorcycles brilliant people very helpful
Great review 👍 I had a BMW F900XR which has the exact same engine and all I ever heard from other BMW riders is it's a Chinese engine so it will leak oil and won't last. I never had a problem and it never missed a beat. If I was on the market for another adventure bike I would look at buying a Voge, but I do have a dealer in walking distance from my house 😊
Well that's handy!
Another great video has always andy and carol 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
If I were thinking of going back to a GS-style bike, this would definitely be in my top three.
@user-us1hx2cx3j But we all heard that in the 70s when we were buying Japanese bikes instead of British.
@@Grahamvfr all fair and good points sir!
KTM lol, not so "established/trusted/premium" now and I had two Dukes which were great but recent problems could kill the 790/890 platform
Yes I agree with Jason - I think the bike market is going the way the car market hs with Kia, "MG", BYD etc....
Indeed….
After owning a gs, xr and r nine t I would have no problem buying one of these, and spending the difference on some tours.
I feel like these have come in at the perfect time! I’ve been riding well over 20 years now most of the years daily and I’ve had many Japanese and European bikes! The Japanese bikes prices have went up and the quality down over the years where these seem to be heading in the opposite direction! Great review
Thanks for watching Sean!
I think it's just a matter of time - in th end people tend to decide via their pocket!
Enjoyable review as always well presented 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
My pausing skills are impressive! :)Only hearing good positive things about this brand and these bikes. looks remind me of the tiger
Well done…
the tft screen really pops in the video, its the first thing i noticed. That slightly matte finish really helps.
I'm sure I would!
Great review looks like a stunning bike for the price !!! Just wondering about living with the bike after a couple of years? Keep up the great vids 👍
Sadly Superbike Factory ceased our arrangement - which is a real shame as those videos always did well and it was great to ride some older bikes.
@TheMissendenFlyer maybe some of your local dealer could give you the trade ins to ride and promote?
Brilliant bike ... Uses the bmw engine.. I've ridden them quite a bit now easily as good as the big brands
There are quite a few software updates available now 4.7 ? which makes it ride even better 😀
Indeed you can....
They have been in Spain for a couple of years now and are still the best selling bike.
Yes, I’m in Spain at the moment and have seen several on the road. They’re very popular over here!
That's interesting. Any idea of the price in Spain for this particular one?
I agree….
Thank you - and thanks for dropping by!
Intersting review! Im no brand snob a bikes a bike and the end of the day. For the price a bargain compared to other brands who over charge. This one will turn heads.
I agree, cracking looking machine in the flesh!
Great review as always I nearly bought one of these but I am not a fan of keyless start
Giving this serious consideration for my next bike, just the dealer network needs to expand
The old BMW dealership in long Eaton that closed down is reopening as a GB moto dealership soon and I’m thinking about going to look at one of these bikes, it’d be perfect for work
I bought my CF Moto 800MT from Kawasaki clay cross, they’re part of the global moto group. Worth a compare of the 800MT and this 900 Voge.
Somewhat of a gloomy outlook but I fear you may be right!
Looks like UK is in terminal decline.
China is sure to take advantage of our dire situation.
Look what was available in the 70s and 80s in the English market for cars and bikes
@zippo u mean great Britain didn't come up with it's own name?? 😂
A probable contender for a replacement to my big GSA when I decide to let it go. That will be a good few years away though still (hopefully) so hope the next iterations of the Vogue ADV bikes are equally as attractive in looks and price. Thanks for vlog, TMF.
My pleasure.
Success is deserved . Looks fabulous and it’s 60% the cost of a Triumph 900 gt pro, which are made in Taiwan from memory.
Thailand - close!
Very tempted at the price, love my R1200R LC too much though. Oh and it’s got twin pots piston Brembos not four pots as you claimed. 👍🏻
Well Andy, you certainly poked the bear with this one, maybe next week you could do a review of the Xiang Shuai XS650N, a Harley Davidson 883 Iron clone then a Chinese electric motorcycle the following week. That would certainly stir things up 😁
Even I have to draw the line somewhere!
Electric motorcycles are just big electric push bikes, and nothing more!
They're are not "motorcycles" ɓy any definition.
@ they have a motor and are cycles, literally motorcycles. Grow up.
Great first review, not sure I want to try it (having spent nearly twice as much on a Tiger 1200 Explorer last year) in case I like it! will be an interesting year to see how the other manufacturers respond to compete with the Voge value which can only be a good thing for us on two wheels.
I agree!
Very true!
Let's hope so Lee - thanks for watching and for stopping by once again!
Puts things into perspective doesn't it!! Mind you, I do love my big 'Wing...what a bike!!! Always a special occasion riding it....
A balanced and interesting review which i enjoyed. My question is would you buy one with your own money?
Certainly in a few years if the owner reports and longevity are favourable I would yes....
My pleasure!
Just needs a lowering kit for us proper shorties! Currently on a lowered low seat s1000xr
I'm glad the chinese bikes are affordable and offer great value. Hope it wakes up the other manufacturers as to what can be done for less money.
I think they produce the sizes we want as well, not the behemoths other manufacturers seem to produce.
Yes it's a very impressive machine isn't it....
Impressive. Be interesting to see how second hand prices go!
I don't think they will be any different to anything else, my 2023 GSX S1000GT is worth about half the price I bought it for at the moment and I still have 18 months to pay and a balloon payment !!!
Great Videos, I always enjoy watching them.
Did you try out the New Honda Hornet SP 1000 yet?
No not yet - they aren't yet available in the UK to ride....coming soon though and I hope to be getting one for long term review....
Great video as per normal
Glad to hear that - cheers!
Unless the big established manufacturers step up their game and lower their prices, these Chinese brands are set to do what the Japanese did to British bikes in the 70s.
Loving the autumn colours, it's better than snow
Too right - I'm living in Spain currently and I can tell you blue sky and sunshine is even better still ;0)
@TheMissendenFlyer We're currently doing something similar. It's so nice
With you all the way on this one TMF.
Great vid
Seems incredible value. I was intrigued that the fuel cap only says E5 🤔
Yes, at the end of the day the impact on the pocket is probably what matters most of people.
I've liked the look of these since I saw one in my local dealer, and seriously thinking getting one when I graduate from my 125, which coincidentally is also chinese
This is in another league compared to those chinese made 125s (which I have found somewhat lacking in quality)....
Great price and all in all not a bad purchase
So seriously tempting, remarkable value for money! I don't think any of the mainstream manufacturers actually offer value for money, they're all too expensive ! In reality China are actually world leaders in engineering these days!
I agree - just look at some of their high tech cities, high speed rail, space station, etc....
Nothing that would stop me buying the bike or I would have said!
Fair enough….
Apparently there are upgrades to the ecu that sort out the lumpiness at low speeds..be interested to see how the Voge passes the test of time.
Time will tell!
A decent bike on paper that is priced to own. Not an inflated price that is aimed at the PCP market. Too many bikes are out of reach of the average rider unless they get PCP.
Agreed.....
Worth a risk ? I thought so and it’s brilliant so far.
Same motor, frame, wheels, brakes, suspension and electronics as F900GS for half the price, if you try spec up a GS to similar levels.
Incredible value.
