Why do people keep expecting huge announcements from state of play? 90% of the time it's updates and smaller announcements, yet people expect that 10% to be every presentation. Sony won't have multiple big games to announce for a while, as they're still dealing with the GAAS focus debacle from a few years ago.

Same strategy as the Nintendo switch 2 with a Japan only version. Wages have stagnated whilst prices have risen steeply. The price increases on the PS5 have been higher than elsewhere in the world. This is a way to increase units sold and get people in the ecosystem and also prevent scalping from abroad for the cheaper PS5. It makes sense.
