Y'all I just gave myself a practice injection for the first time and I'm on top of the world. Goodbye, awful patches! I could cry I'm so happy, and it didn't even hurt. If you're reading this and are scared about injections, I promise you it's worse in your head than it is in reality, 1000%. You can do it!

Guys and Gals if your bruising or lumping, you might not be getting deep enough. This typically can happen when using the short insulin needles. Once I switched to the next size up. I have never had an issue again. Peace
Dude I'm swelling up Soo bad and it is not cool ,the pain I'm receiving from this has known to keep me from going to work a day or two ,this has happened last 3 times , I use a 22g @1.5" deep now u can't tell me I'm not getting into the muscle ,and I'll find your comment invalid when the practitioners nurse verified simply said if it is intramuscular you can go Sub-Q with your injection due to it being intramuscular it will not have any side effect she said you can directly use Sub-Q into the fat area so why are you saying anything about not going deep enough into the muscle I mean who uses an insulin syringes to use f****** testosterone in the first place that's why I do I find your comment in value

@@dewaynebraley2820 Jesus, trying to do subq with a 22g 1.5 inch needle?!?! That's too long and too big holy shit! I know this comment is old but for anyone else, that's something you'd want like a 27-30g, 0.5 inch needle for subq or something!! 22g is too big for anything!

Got my first vial of E today🥰
was doing subcutaneous E2 (MCT oil, with benzyl benzoate). the needles I had were overly long so I injected at an angle, on thigh. had the following recurring issues:
- an allergic reaction would arise after a day (a red raised patch, itching a tad). nothing major but takes like a week and it's annoying/scary, if loratadine cures it at once it's probably allergy.
- backflow/leakage after pulling out the needle.
after some online research I found both studies and personal reports that the following help: as thin needle as you can make work for your hormones, short, straight at 90º, on abdomen, wait 3 seconds before pulling out, if all else fails to intramuscular.
I'll try to locate better needles and try it this way next time, if it helps I'll report it here o/

I'm going to try 90° with 1.2mm long, 0.4mm thick needles for both drawing and injecting (PZN: 02499682 ) after a recommendation from a trans endo I know who uses these on herself. Note that the depth you can inject and still stay on fat tissue depends on how much tissue you have, if you're very thin you might need an angle anyway.

@@krispiedra3307 Great news , would you be so kind to answer a quick question for me, I have been using testosterone infinite I am and about every other one has been normal the last three I've done using a 22 gauge 1 1/2 in have really swollen my leg up to the point to where I've had to take off work it hurts so bad it's abscessed a big red knot I mean it stays there for like 2 weeks at a time what do you think's causing this I mean apparently I couldn't be because I'm not getting into the muscle because I'm squeezing the area and burying the one and a half inches at a 90° angle you think I should go into the botox more because I've had left difficulty there but it still does swell I think I'm going through the muscle but would that not be the same as a sub q shot I'm missing something here?

I’m trying to do this but I keep chickening out last minute when I bring the needle close to my skin. Any tips on how to not do that?
Are love handles a good location or would that be painful in comparison?
Love handles are the best place because its all fat and you can easily pinch it but anywhere on the stomach works as long as you aren't right next to your belly button
So I can still go straight down with the needle? I was convinced I was getting the angle wrong since I just keep pricking myself instead of fully stabbing
I went straight down and it seemed to work for me :)
