Great review! I just switched to this guy a few weeks ago and love it. I thought what you said was pretty spot on. It’s got great pocketing and good spin potential. Although you do really have to move your feet and get in a good position, obviously being a 95. Plays more like a 97 though! I definitely think adding some weight to the head would help with volleys
How does this vcore compare with the extreme tour auxetic? I think the vcore is more precise and predictable. Maybe due to the string pattern. Spin is similar I think.
I found them to play pretty similar. The launch angle is similar, power is similar, and spin is similar too. For me the extreme tour offers a more direct feel so I found that one to be more predictable
I'm torn btw VC95 vs VC98Tour. How's the launch Angle and the Spin potential? Mostly playing Doubs. For VC95, small string bed is enough to generate spins? VC98Tour has a similar launch angle as VC98? (which is extreme high...) Thanks!
Launch angle is similar to the standard 98. Maybe a little lower. I personally love the quick feel and versatility of the 95 but you get less for free and it’s a little less forgiving.
Can you add weight, increase swingweight, to the frame and make another video where you comment on the result? Do you know if the "raquet matching service" from Tennis Warehouse is good? I've bought a couple other "unmatched", or off the shelf, frames and the result has been pretty disappointing. Still gaming Wilson Pro Staff Classic and Head Pt630.
But you did find it… here🙃 Brands don’t really advertise swingweight because it’s the hardest variable to control but they do have a target they are shooting for. They are just keeping those target numbers in house more frequently now.
I use this racket now, I also have issues with the volley when trying to put it away due to lack of mass. Where should I put lead to make it stable but keep the head balance still super light so I can still whip it?
Great review , liked the video . What tension did you string this frame ? Mains and crosses ? Secondly that's a Great Dunlop machine for measuring sw , where can one buy one from ?.
Oh, but according to every Yonex fanboy on the internet, Yonex's quality control is always the closest. A SW variance of 10 points is not accurate and their QC sucks, just like all the other racquet companies.
First off, the 321 of SW are not given by Yonex themselves, but were an average measured by Tennis Warehouse on a batch of racquets. Secondly, other companies mess up the static weight and the balance in addition to the SW, and on these metrics, Yonex is markedly better.
@@johnnyguitar6697 swingweight is way more important than static weight. Yonex is just as inconsistent with this as any other company. Tennisnerd mentions this quite often as well
Your difficulties in hitting a volley are because of the racquet. It's because of your technique. On both you groundstrokes and your volleys, your technique is not great. It can be fixed by getting with a coach or, if you are willing to see your mistakes, watching some good instruction videos.
How would you compare the Vcore 95 and the Radical MP when customized to comparable specs? Thanks!
Added Leather grip an small lead at 11 and 1. Racket feels muted and dampend. Nice control and fast swings

Hi. Do you have the 2 piece stringing instructions for the new Yonex Core 95?

I enjoyed the video and am looking forward to seeing the next clip that you do some tweaks on the racquet!
Thanks!

That’s a good idea. The racket matching service from tennis warehouse is great! It’s worth it in my opinion.
@@simmstennis Thank you very much for the reply! Looking forward to another video featuring the Yonex Vcore 95 ;)
Hey, how did you find out that the target unstrung swingweight spec is meant to be 290? I can’t seem to find that info anywhere else.

I’d start by adding about 3g total at the 3 and 9 positions and then go from there

Hyper-G 125 @ 52lbs
Did you ever try the ezone xi98 ? If so how does it compare the the new 95
I have not tried the xi98
Have you tried the Prince ATS Tour 95? If so, any comparison?
I have not but those new prince frames intrigue me.
Hi, how would you compare in general version 2023 with previous one (2021)?
In general it has a bit more spin, stability and connected feel
@@simmstennis so is it better then previous version?
In my opinion, yes
Solinco hyper g?
Yes, 125
Is this racquet suitable for someone at a 4.0 level? Can you hit flat with it? Touch shots?
It has nice touch and can hit flat balls well. I’d generally say strong 4.5 and above. Could be worth a demo though.
That's not 95...is the bottom part of head equally as smaller then your 98?
The bottom of the 95 is more narrow. The bridge is also higher up the racket which makes the mains shorter.
@@simmstennis so it's rounder? I have lower racket head speeds with rounder or 100 + inch rackets..harder to hit slice n kick serves
@@mteca5093 Yes, rounded in a sense… but still looks like a Yonex.
