OMG I thought this was an informational interview from the employer then I realized it was some random person who is asking a person for his time and she's giving him the interrogation interview LOLOL. Yeah this is a common things. Thank you for the laugh.

I think people in the comment section are confused with who is doing the interview. It's not the employer.

    It seems awkward.
I can't pull this off without sounding odd and rude.

This is misleading. It’s an informational interview for you to get information to equip you for a job not to harass the person with questions about his job and life

Hi Lakeside --- I was introduced to networking coupled with informational interviewing (II) some 40 years ago, have been practicing the process and having success with it ever since, and have been sharing the process with others during that time. Success with II is based on gathering information and asking for advice and guidance related to our career plans and job search, yes, of course, but in such a way that relationships are built and referrals to others are given. To approach the process with the mindset of "I'm looking for a job, so how can you help me?" is a sure route to disappointment and failure. I'd like to suggest you look into II more closely, and if you haven't already, read the book "The 20-Minute Networking Meeting" at the appropriate level (there are 3 editions): graduate, professional, or executive.

Lol yeah don’t be a candidate and be this aggressive on an interview this is pretty bad advice imo. Casual or not the interviewer should lead

Bruh. She is the interview in this scenario. She’s not a job candidates. This is a networking technique called an informational interview.
