I don't care what anyone says, Neil Young is one of the best. Left his mark on many an iconic song. Glad the back surgery worked, watching him with crazy horse in the late 2010's, wow, moving around like he was 25. 🤘Godfather of Grunge 🤘. Janda, thanks for what you do here and on the radio. 👍
I recall the release of Harvest in 1972, it was a big event! I saw him perform in 1974 with CSNY (including a solo set) in Vancouver. Much later, I saw him perform in Halifax in 2007. I was pleased to bring my ore-teen daughter to that one! I did not know about all his health struggles. Another great job, thanks!
Back in 1972, when you didn't mind that AM radio was playing this song nearly every 10 minutes, it was an instant classic. And in 1972, turning 26 was indeed "getting old", especially when 18 yr old kids were killing and dying in Nam. I was 12 and already scared about getting "old", so this hit a nerve. Later I would realize that Neil expressed that feeling so well with Sugar Mountain, and then Joni answered him with the Circle Game which should be every child's anthem.
