I wasn't suicidal but I didn't want to live.. soon they came and took the car.. we had no way of getting food then.. I remember lying in bed with a heart so heave it hurt.. I'm now on disability and yes.. we have the internet.. O.o.. God meets our needs and is kind enough to let us enjoy somethings in life.. we have food on our table and yes.. the old car is still running us down the road for now.. I made good money back in my day.. no so much now.. but we have what we need.. I got Baptized just this last year.. all this being said.... Good Preaching and to all who read this... Please feel free to learn from my dumb mistakes... God Bless
I usually don't read long posts yet I took interest in yours. Many times when we see others in need we think ourselves better than them or that they are somehow guilty. Thank you very much for sharing. God bless you
Thanks for sharing your testimony bro, i had a similar experience I lost land property which i use for coffee bar business and about to loose my home but God intervain for me, that got me closer to God than ever
God is so skillful in His work 😊 I've had many such lessons. Why it takes me many and others one? God knows. His work is brilliant in its efficacy, but more so in its revelation of His love for us. Thank for sharing ❤
@@bailujen8052 That’s not entirely true. if you truly are saved you should be moving your life in a direction that aligns with God‘s will. obviously the ultimate goal of Christians is to evangelize but some people evangelize like street preaching and other people do it in their workplace or with their friends. been constantly busy evangelizing is not required to be saved. we are saved without works but the works that we do after we are saved prove we are saved. The most important thing to do once you are saved is to build a deep relationship with Jesus (praying and reading the Bible often) and by doing so he will change your heart to want to evangelize.
Jesus didn't call her a scavenger dog (kuón), but rather a little dog (kunarion). It isn't a racial slur and it isn't even a reference to her sin. It is just an analogy meaning that she is not part of the chosen people of God. Recall that not all of God's chosen people were even saved, so there is no saved/lost or righteous/sinful contrast here. The fact is that this woman was actually a believer. All Jesus is saying is that the kingdom is to Israel first. Not to the saved first, because not all Israel was saved, but simply to God's chosen nation first.
Dude, you were never a dog. People just want to run around in circles trying to claim jesus was perfect and there was no logical reason anyone would have found him offensive. In reality Jesus hit a bunch of people with a whip and overturned the currency exchange tables inside the sacred temple. Neither the Jews nor Roman's would be pleased with that. He DEFINATLY WOULD BE ARRESTED. Also he was trying at least to become king of the jews, creating an independent judea from roman rule, which given how shitty living with the Roman's was is understandable. Basically weather you find his actions morally right or not, there are very obvious reasons why he would have upset both the Roman's in huge ways. And yet when he dies we are all supposed to be shocked. He did call the lady a dog, jesus was actually super rude sometimes and didn't always have the best manners. People have to reconcile the "actual jesus" moving in the historical context of his time with "perfect church jesus". Anyway sorry for the rant. Don't let the world guilt you into thinking you were "a dog". As much as I do love dogs. You've always been a person, just one who is growing and changing in the world.
Thanks Mike! I needed this. I have been slack in my prayers for my "agnostic" husband to find Christ Jesus. (I was too...until about six years ago....in our 18 year marriage). He grew up Catholic and defends that, but not Christ Jesus. I knew I needed to continue in my prayers ...though may not be answered the way I think they should be. Sigh...please pray for me...that I lose the pride that keeps me from trusting God more. I know He is good and very, very, very patient. I praise Him for that......or we'd all be lost. God bless and much love to my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus!
Hi Mike. I'm a pastor that has to preach on this passage this coming Sunday. Your sermon was super helpful to me during my preparation. God bless you and your ministry. =)
I pray you’ll never be compromised and always preach the truth according to God’s words. May God strengthen you and keep you humble for his honour and glory. God bless you brother
This passage is also found in Matthew. I didn't know for the longest what this passage meant. But about a month ago, I was reading the gospels and I came across this passage. My eyes were opened and I love this passage. Even us Gentiles are part of God's Kingdom. "I will have a people that are not my people". 🙂 This passage is a foreshadowing of God's people.
@@michelemcguire8995 No. You deny your heart, and start living as Christ. "Accepting" Christ into you're "heart" is just a quick money making gimmick that televangelists use to make you fork over some money after you have become a "Christian". You repent from you're sins, deny yourself, and start living as Christ. That's called being a Christian.
🔥🔥 this is a really great sermon, structured, clear, and well said. Appreciate what God is doing in you, and I really look forward to watching other videos you have.
Pastor Mike thank you so much for this message! Even in the church there is so much pride that prevents us from growing and receiving. As believers we still need the correct posture before Jesus. "I don't deserve you Jesus, but I need you."
@AffiliatePro take some time to find out, open your heart and your eyes. Theres alot of study that's been going on these past 503 years since Martin Luther nailed his theses on the church door, and alot of light has came out from the reformers, not just Martin Luther but others before him also. It's not exactly brainwash, more like coming out of the matrix.
@AffiliatePro So let me get this straight, you realized that you were a sinner, turned from sin to Jesus Christ. Due to the fact that you'd broken God's law and He took the punishment. And now for some reason you want to walk away? I'd have to question how much you learned in 35 years, about the enemy, Jesus, the Bible, salvation etc. I'd ask you to study the Bible and see if you were a true or false convert to begin with. Read the "parable of the sower" everyone who has heard the gospel is one of these seeds...which one were you?
Thank you Pastor Mike, for a wonderful exegesis of the scripture. God bless you and keep you, I have been so blessed by your ministry. To God be the glory, Amen.
Really loved this teaching. I didn't know about the multiple Greek words for dog and the specific one Jesus used here that means pet. Really changes the atmosphere of this passage.
I wish they were longer 😂 He has some good stuff! I'm amazed I finally found what I was looking for. It has taken a long time to get here and many wrong paths. But... because of those wrong paths, I am so thankful for this! Possibly if you are binging you were/are starving. Been there. When you are starving you tend to eat too fast and get full too quickly. It takes a while to realize there is plenty and pace. Maybe take the time to go slowly, to appreciate, and absorb. Possibly you are wanting them to be shorter to get to that one episode that will satisfy? I hope you find it, but also stay the course through all that is here. May the peace of God be with you as you as journey that the pace and depth is good with you.
Keep at it @ashley! I know they're long but preaching is like an art. Rushing to get pointers isn't as fulfilling as pondering, digesting, and meditating on what your pastor is presenting you.
Thank you thank you thank you God Bless you I know you're not perfect but I know God speaks through you cuz I have peace when I hear things explained the way you explain them God bless your ministry you're doing a great job
I feel the exact same way, hearing Mike gives me such a comforting feeling which I can only explain as God speaking volumes through him. Thank God for Mike Winger!
Thank you Mike for your thoughtful, correct, and gentle explanations and defenses of the bible. In a world full of false teachers and attacks on the faith you really have shown yourself to be a worker approved by God. God bless you!
Just stumbled on this and glad I did. This passage is one I have longed struggled to fully understand. This is the most thorough study I have heard on it. I finally get it. Thank you!
This video is relatively old now but Mike if you see this please know that this video is one of my favourites because for some time this part of the Matthew and Mark gospels used to make me nervous as I heard all sorts from heretical groups such as the BHI and Jewish professors (only very few, thankfully) that I being of gentile descent was doomed and forever deemed as a dog. But the real reason I love this video is because it did not cuddle me in a way that the message was watered down. But it made me realise my pride and Bible-belt syndrome (although I'm from the UK). I was raised going to church and the Lord certainly has been very patient with me and developed me but I was still under the impression that because I was born in the gracious era whereby in Christ, there is neither Jew nor Gentile - I assumed myself as having always been a child. I knew that without Jesus I was a wretch but for some reason hearing the word "dog" insulted me. Because being raised in a Christian family, I did not understand the Jew and Gentile tension that really was profound in the Bible. I forgot that my own ancestors were not followers of Christ. They practised evil things. This video was both encouraging yet convicting. Because in this time of national and ethnic identity - whereby everyone strives to pride themselves in their cultural heritage (and I am proud of my ethnicity) - it is too easy to forget that it is nothing, in the end. Especially for those in Christ. Had I followed the traditional religions of my mother and father's ancestral heritage, I would have practised all sorts of eastern and celtic things. Yet at some point in my family line - by the grace of God - He disrupted the pattern. Yet even then, we were still loved by Him as His creation. With some of the things ancient Indonesians, ancient Irish Celts and ancient Britons and Danes did - I could very well see the detestable dog-like scavenging essence of my family. Yet even then Jesus said "pet"... My ancestors would have done things that I loathe and spit at. That was my heritage. Yet God said "little dog... You shall now be My child, as well." And that's amazing. Now, this part of the Matthew and Mark gospels is one of my favourites. And ironically, it makes me even more proud of my ethnicity in the sense that it is evidence of the love of the God of Israel. I mean - imagine looking at the ancient religions at the time, all set on death and focused on their own central peoples. And then one sees the prophecies of the Jewish religion and it promises to speak to the non-Jew, too. That its Messiah would be the Saviour of the world. That is quite astounding. Anyway... Sorry for this ridiculously long message but I could hardly contain my joy over the epiphany I received when I first watched this video! Whether you're a rebellious child of the heritage or a dog by heritage - go to the Lord who wants to make you His beloved child! Chew on that, pride.
I think she was demonstrating to the apostles how to "turn the other cheek." She did such a good job of it, and her faith and persistence were so great, Jesus rewarded her. (Commenting without having yet watched the video...)
Gods timing on this teaching Mike, love your work. I have been seeing a lot of Muslims use this verse on the SOCO channel recently and here it is for the world to see. God bless you
Your last name caught my attention. There are not many who have the T. I always thought I got it so I have a constant reminder that I have the cross to cling to. There’s lots of Franz’ around here without the T and several that spell it Frans but I am the only one in Western Okla that I am aware of that were from the small tribe of “T’s”. If you see this look me up on fascist book and message me, Id love to find out where your people are from.
Mike, your gift in the LORD is such a blessing. Thank you so much. I’m in a place spiritually where I feel the need to be continually testing every message, every teacher/preacher, every belief I once thought was right that may or may not be scriptural. Testing the spirits. Diving headlong into scripture. Seeking wisdom from God and discernment. And it’s good, but I sometimes feel tired of being on my spiritual guard. And your sermons are so clearly rooted in truth of the Bible that I am able to rest and enjoy learning new things that I can trust are scriptural. Thank you, brother.
Thank you pastor Mike you made it very simple and clear to me. I understand this lesson now. I wish I could be a member in your church ⛪️ I’d be so excited to go to church every Sunday then. Thank you for teaching us.
“He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-” John 1:11-12
Absolutely agree and although I understood that it was to teach us a valuable, needed lesson, I knew about the importance of the "children first" and that we were not excluded from salvation (and God did not see us as less than or as dogs) knowing that the word is more akin to "pet" and not "dog" (as it is used throughout scripture as a low scavenger who deserves no love) it has totally transformed my understanding of this passage and I thank the Almighty for this teaching and for Mike's work for our saviour
@Snack Daddy Although I am more of a cat person than dog, even I have had beloved dog pets. To be honest, to be called a pet dog is not a compliment, better that than a scavenger wolf like dog or a dog as a substitute for the B**** word. I wasn't offended by your comment but took it as you making playful point.
She was not a Jew and when Jesus made that statement she would have be angry and left she knew what she wants for her child and she was able to seen beyond her situation.
Recently stumbled upon your channel/videos by looking for info about Jehovah Witness knockers (btw they came today for the 4th time o_0) but I'm very excited to have found your teaching and preaching Pastor Mike. It's great to listen to different teachings- it really broadens my understanding and interpretions of the Word tremendously. It's also important to remind ourselves that we cannot hear the tone of their voices nor see the nonverbal communication/body language which some say is 80% of communication. Sometimes body language and/or the tone of the message could completely change the conversation. Something to think about 😉 God bless 🙏🙌
Pray for my wife she is rejecting the OT as being mostly written by an evil Annunaki and because of that she's creating her own Jesus that is completely different than the Jesus in Scripture.
I watched this video twice and though I thought understood it did not make me settle on the issue. Whilst reading matt 15 the bulb just went on. To my amazement it was the very thing taught here. This has taught me that studying the word is more beneficial than just hearing. This has taught me (as a gentile) to appreciate the gospel even more learning that i am a partaker in a promise that belonged to jews but through Christ found worthy to partake. I also learnt that in His ministry on earth He was sent to the Jews then later after His ressurection through His Spirit to the gentiles. Him helping this woman is an act of mercy.
🏡 I am so thankful to you for interpreting Matthew 15: 22-28 for me . This passage just never made sense to me . My Faith in His Love For Me is Joyfully Uplifted as I'm sure Other Listeners As Well . I know in Bible study groups years ago this was skipped ( they didn't get it either ! ) Now , we know 💫 I certainly wish I had a reference for knowing these differences in word analogy . I would get so caught up cross ref. A word I would lose my perspective on the LOVE AND LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST . Would you suggest to us a BIBLE App . or a preferred dictionary helper ? Again I have enjoyed my new Classes starting with your Matthew Series . They may be dated but, like the Holy Bible It never changes . It ''s helping me become the lover of Jesus 'I've wanted to be even in my age . I listen on You Tube 2× wk. also and learn a lot . You Encourage and Strengthen me with all you experience on a moment to moment basis . I feel so Blessed by your ministry. Thank you Pastor Winger . Your Voice Matters To So Many 🕯...
Hi, can you please consider doing a video on fasting? All I ever hear is how to fast for a "breakthrough" in a specific area, but every time I've fasted, it's never happened. Perhaps I have not been taught correct on what to expect and pray for? Thank you for all you do.
Abba Father, I receive and agree with this word of mark 7:24-30 and know I know only do better with God his help! Therefore I bind every spirit of dog under my feet in the name and by the blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!
Thanks for the good study(s). It also brings to my mind Psalm 22:16. I wonder what might connect there, if anything. Something more specific than "gentiles overall" would seem to have reference there. Although i think that's Kuon in the Septuagint, not the other...
ALLOUT4CHRIST Ha someone else who noticed this trolls tactics, I probably shouldn’t have wasted my time editing his retarded claim that, the Bible can’t have world view bc everyone interprets things differently but if you’re interested 👇🏽 This is my refutation: What? You’re not familiar with reading comprehension or the what a worldview is huh? Obviously everyone interprets things, this doesn’t mean that an objective message isn’t being communicated through whatever book, or that individuals are properly interpreting the book, the Bible definitively and or definitely teaches a certain philosophy of life, for example the spiritual reality, the Bible teaches plain and clear that not only do spirits exist, but that God himself is a spirit, this is an example of the Biblical world view. Personally I’d recommend reviewing reading comprehension, and interpretation, what you said doesn’t even just apply to the Bible it applies to science books, law books, etc. They all have by default positions and views of things, that someone can interpret contrary to what’s being taught, it doesn’t mean these books don’t teach certain views, or positions.
@Whip'em up! I disagree with this fundamentally because, if you think about it, the Bible would not be as universal as it is if the concepts and applications were not black and white in their generality.
Jesus was focused on the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Jews are neither lost, nor of the House of Israel; they are of the Kingdom of Judah, distinct from the Kingdom of Israel. Jews hung around in Judea and then did a bunch of other weird things. The House of Israel was carried away by Assyria, mostly to the North. They have been "lost" ever since, only to be called back in the end days.
Dogs referring to people is part of the revelation given to John recorded at Revellation 22:15 .Yes folks some percentage of those raised in the second resurrection event are referred to as dogs .
I was taught the interpretation of yours most of my life. There is a pastor named Dr. Randy White as well as a handful of others who teach that God had a plan which was to use Isreal to reach the Gentiles or in other words to use the nation of Israel to bring individual salvation to all people (jew and Greek) which became available after the cross. Once I finally understood what dispensations were and that Jesus earthly ministry was for Israel and the offer of salvation for the world was not available until he arose from the grave. I really appreciate that you are preaching from scripture. PS there is a new book called Evangelical Garbage available at Dispensational Publishing that is the most timely book outside of scripture that I have ever read. We are right with God because according to 2 Corinthians 5:18-21. What I feel like I needed to do was to believe that he forgave all of sin back when he died on the cross but until I understood and believed it I could not be saved and have eternal life with God in heaven but I was forgiven as was everyone else even if they don’t believe it. I have heard false teachers use that passage to lead into universal salvation which is dead wrong. When I learned that paul taught the gospel of grace for the dispemstiom of the age of grace and I could be included because I believed in what was accomplished with the finished work of the cross there was a freedom in Christ from the curse of sin which he did away with at the cross I was really saved. Thank you for studying. One day I would like you to visit our church as you could add to our online group. Our physical church is located in one of the most unchurched places in the US. Taos First Baptist (not Southern Baptist, just Baptist in name)
Amén. I have been in my church for 20 years and it is of sound doctrine therefore not very popular or likable and it has always been very small of 60 people. But this of us which have stayed and not been miss lead have been able to see Gods goodness in our life.
Very good Mike! Excellent expository work. Being so far removed from biblical context, it takes some work getting there and from there, making sense of the passage. Just curious, what translation is being used? I know you used to use NKJV and was considering ESV. Curious where you've landed.
I tend to use the ESV more often than not but, for the sake of the Mark series, I am using the NASB. Since I can't find what I consider to be the "best" translation but can find several which seem good I try to reference multiple translations in my prep.
Jorge Anido He’s a possible troll, or just a ignorant atheist (idk) trying to snuff out people’s faith with a poor understanding of both reading comprehension. This is my refutation: What? You’re not familiar with reading comprehension or the what a worldview is huh? Obviously everyone interprets things, this doesn’t mean that an objective message isn’t being communicated through whatever book, or that individuals are properly interpreting the book, the Bible definitively and or definitely teaches a certain philosophy of life, for example the spiritual reality, the Bible teaches plain and clear that not only do spirits exist, but that God himself is a spirit, this is an example of the Biblical world view. Whip em nice try at being clever but when it comes to God’s word, the Bible, you don’t know what you’re talking about because when you understand that it’s been written by about forty different authors over several thousand years and see that it does interpret itself and that it is outside our space time domain which makes it super natural no one can claim it’s a Chinese whisper
Thank you for this teaching, Mike. I was always bothered with this part a bit - not because she is a woman, but because she's gentile; I mean why doesn't God love all His creation equally? But it's clearer now. Another one is cursing the fig tree, I am looking forward to that one, too. :)
Mike, I watched one of your Jehovah Witness videos where you talked about a book that showed the Greek definitions side by side with The Watchtower definitions showing that they (the Watchtower) had inserted the words "all other" things regarding the deity of Christ. You said it was a book that was actually published by the Watchtower and that it might be hard to find. Can you tell me what the book is so I can track it down? ... Thanks for all you do. I'm getting ready to witness to my Jehovah Witness neighbor who just moved in next to me .......
That would be the “Kingdom Interlinear”. You may be able to find it online but there is another option now. The JWs have a phone app which has the Kingdom Interlinear on it, and it’s free. It’s called “JW Library”.
This is exactly what is meant by to the Judahite first. The House of Israel was divorced first and then the house of Judah. upon fulfillment of the scriptures to read gather Israel the house of Judah would be reunited first and then the house of Israel. Many error because they do not understand the term Gentiles (Nations) and Jew (Judahite or Judean).
Hi Mike, I have enjoyed your lectures on your RUclips channel for years and they have always been very inspirational. Based on my reflections on this particular lecture of yours I would like to share the following for whatever it might be worth. Whilst our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ took on his human nature in the form of a Jew I do not read The new Testament in a way which neglects his care for the gentiles. In John chapter 4 we read about his special efforts to walk through Samaria to meet the woman at the well to reveal to her, a gentile woman, his very nature as the Messiah. This revelation makes her so excited that she is leaves her water jars behind to run back to share the good news with the very people she had tried to avoid because of her shame. And Jesus cared so much for her community that he stayed there with his disciples for two days! I read the account as moving and humourous. In Mark 7:24-30 we read about the Canaanite woman who desperately asks for Jesus’s help for her little daughter. A similar account is found in Matt 15:22-28. One may have different attitudes to dogs, but I doubt that to be called a dog is flattering in any cultural context. If you care for dogs you will feed them and not cast bread at them! What we notice is that this account in both gospels follows the account of Jesus saying that man is not defiled by what enters his mouth but what comes out of it. Referring to gentiles as cattle and dogs was part of the Pharisee self-righteous jargon and we know what Jesus thought about the Pharisees. I have the feeling that Jesus’s use of this dog language was a demonstration to his disciples of this point. Spoken by Jesus it was probably a shocking to hear as it is to read about it in the Bible had not his disciples had Jesus’s words about what defiles a man in fresh memory. My understanding is that Matthew's account defuses the situation by Jesus praising her for her great faith, something which apparently only happened in Jesus’s relationship with gentiles, including the Roman Centurion mentioned in Matthew 8:5-13. My reflections on Pharisee jargon to describe gentiles may be useful for understanding why Jesus was laid in a manger. Why not a breadbasket which can easily be moved around as opposed to a manger which is a heavy piece of stable furniture? Jesus would later refer to himself as the bread of life, so would that not be more appropriate? I have the feeling that putting Jesus in a manger was a slightly humorous way of foretelling that it would be the gentiles, the cattle, who would be the first to accept his call to feed on him!
@Per Bondesen I read recently that in that time wood was scarce so it was saved for things that really needed wood, roof beams etc and stone being plentiful was used as much as possible. It is likely then that the manger was made of stone and the shepherds who were probably watching the flock for passover, would have seen Jesus, laid on the stone manger, swaddled in strips of cloth, (as the spotless lamb was swaddled to keep it clean and spotless for sacrifice at the Temple,) and would instinctively have seen the connection. The manger would have resembled the altar. It's an interesting thought. The oil and salt used after childbirth was also used in Temple sacrifices it said. I wish I could remember where I saw it.
Before they were allowed into the promise land, if we had to do anything like that no-one would be in church.but we don't have to beacuse Jesus lead the way
People tend break down jesus words to much to understand it when jesus says that his people hear him and his words they know it is true. So he gave the woman a parable and her answer showed her faith. He never called her anything. Jesus answered for this saying go thy way. The devil is gone out of thy daughter. Notice he said for thy saying. Simple. Jesus knew her faith and jesus said the the devil gone. Who else has the power to speak and it be done?
If this is the what I think it is, I always figured it was just a metaphor. The first time I ever saw someone say Jesus was actually calling her a dog, I thought "Oh, then it's a pun. Canine/Canaanite"
We all breathe the breath of God. No, we are not dogs regardless of our religion. I have had to accept painful remarks when battling for a cause. I think the issue is not to withdraw when someone says something we don't like. We have to rise above words.
Hi Mike or maybe somebody else who reads this and can help! At 15:15 you talk about Jesus sending out the 72 in only towns of the jews. But the text does not seem to indicate that. It´s only written that they should go "into every town and place where he himself was about to go"(Lk 10,1). Now, one could say that Jesus would only go into jewish towns, which seems unlikely, since he went to non jewish territory before, right? For example in Mark 8, the feeding of the 4000. Please correct me if I´m wrong or not understanding anything properly! Thanks for your help and this great study!
Thank you, Mike, for this very helpful exegesis and interpretation! "We be not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs under thy Table. But thou art the same Lord, whose property is always to have mercy:" From The Prayer of Humble Acess (before receiving communion) which appeared in the Anglican Order for Communion in 1548 during the English Reformation. But remember, Jesus WAS a refugee in Egypt, as was Abraham, Jacob, Joseph and his brothers, Other than the original Native Americans, and later African slaves, most of our own ancestors in the US were refugees as well. This is not partisan politics, but biblical and historical evidence-based history. Thanks again.

I have to tell you it broke my heart reading this. God bless you brother, I hope to meet you someday on the other side.
@statesrights01 God bless you and thank you for sharing this. ❤🙏🏼✝️
God is so skillful in His work 😊 I've had many such lessons. Why it takes me many and others one? God knows. His work is brilliant in its efficacy, but more so in its revelation of His love for us. Thank for sharing ❤
So true. I teared up hearing this. I was a dog once (not the good one) and then God saved me and adopted me. How merciful!
If you are saved, you would
Be always busy evangelizing, Saving souls, remaining full obedient, etc
@@n.holt7 ah okay don't call me a dog just a little dog that's a lot better, give me a break
@@CollinAllsup-vu1dw Thank you brother...that means more than anything! God bless you and yours!
I'm praying for him right now.
Hi Mike. I'm a pastor that has to preach on this passage this coming Sunday. Your sermon was super helpful to me during my preparation. God bless you and your ministry. =)
Mike thank you for using your gift of teaching to build up the Church. It's a blessing
I pray you’ll never be compromised and always preach the truth according to God’s words. May God strengthen you and keep you humble for his honour and glory. God bless you brother
As my pastor once said, “Mercy is giving people what they need, not what they deserve.”
This passage is also found in Matthew. I didn't know for the longest what this passage meant. But about a month ago, I was reading the gospels and I came across this passage. My eyes were opened and I love this passage. Even us Gentiles are part of God's Kingdom. "I will have a people that are not my people". 🙂
This passage is a foreshadowing of God's people.
But you only become people of God if you accept CHRIST into your heart and pick up your cross and follow him
@@michelemcguire8995 No. You deny your heart, and start living as Christ. "Accepting" Christ into you're "heart" is just a quick money making gimmick that televangelists use to make you fork over some money after you have become a "Christian". You repent from you're sins, deny yourself, and start living as Christ. That's called being a Christian.
8th Day Adventist And become baptized

Gentiles will be servants and handmaids in God's Kingdom!
Thanks so much, Mike!I have introduced my sons and their families to your channel. We are South Africans in Johannesburg. God bless you always!
"Jesus was led by his mission and not by the crowds." So important!
Crumbs led me into being save.
Now you sit at the banquet table as family.
@AffiliatePro If you are talking to me AffiliatePro, no I do not mean brainwashed. If I did, I would have said it.
@AffiliatePro may I ask what it is you refuse to not believe?
@AffiliatePro So let me get this straight, you realized that you were a sinner, turned from sin to Jesus Christ. Due to the fact that you'd broken God's law and He took the punishment.
And now for some reason you want to walk away? I'd have to question how much you learned in 35 years, about the enemy, Jesus, the Bible, salvation etc. I'd ask you to study the Bible and see if you were a true or false convert to begin with. Read the "parable of the sower" everyone who has heard the gospel is one of these seeds...which one were you?
Thank you. This is the first complete teaching I've heard in 50 years. I now understand and can explain it to others!
*Ive recently found Mike and have been binging for hours 😂 I really wish there were shorter versions of the videos!*
Ashley Kennedy praise god that there are videos at all!
I wish they were longer.
He’s really good isn’t he. Just be careful not to replace him with the real teacher, Christ Jesus. That’s when some stumble.
God bless you Pastor Mike!🙌🏽🙌🏽😭😭😭😭
Thank you thank you thank you God Bless you I know you're not perfect but I know God speaks through you cuz I have peace when I hear things explained the way you explain them God bless your ministry you're doing a great job

I'm glad I can get some exegetical teaching. My Pastor teaches more topical, but I like that, too
Thank you Mike for your thoughtful, correct, and gentle explanations and defenses of the bible. In a world full of false teachers and attacks on the faith you really have shown yourself to be a worker approved by God. God bless you!
Great Teaching! Thank you, Pastor Winger.
The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. ~ Psalm 145:14
Just stumbled on this and glad I did. This passage is one I have longed struggled to fully understand. This is the most thorough study I have heard on it. I finally get it. Thank you!
Thank you. I am really enjoying your insights that come with your lessons. I am loving getting to know God in a new refreshing way. Bless you
The best teaching I’ve ever heard on this. Thanks!
You shall now be My child, as well."
And that's amazing.
Thank you that just about every time I listen to your teaching, I am brought to tears at the end prayer. God is so gloriously good!
He didn't He just made a comparison like a parable.
So many layers of meaning in this lesson. Very beautiful. Thank you.

Beautiful teaching! Thank you Ps Mike ❤
Praise God, that was amazing!
Thank you pastor Mike you made it very simple and clear to me. I understand this lesson now. I wish I could be a member in your church ⛪️ I’d be so excited to go to church every Sunday then. Thank you for teaching us.

This is the first time I heard of the 2 different dog words used in scripture. Major paradigm shift here.
ME?
Hummingbird- You are a dog. A nice little dog. (So, did you find that offensive at all? Be honest).

Just saw this. Thank you. This passage in a modern lens, confused me.
humility and humbleness plays a part in her child receives her deliverance, because she was not part of the kingdom at that time .
Her faith was great. She had every reason to turn away in anger and blame God yet she knew she was in need of God's mercy.
So, why was humility and humbleness not a "prerequisite" for the Jews he healed? Showing favoritism is never good.
She was not a Jew and when Jesus made that statement she would have be angry and left she knew what she wants for her child and she was able to seen beyond her situation.
The Lord Jesus Christ honors faith, no matter who shows that faith.
Something to think about 😉
God bless 🙏🙌
Thank you for sharing Pastor Mike. Very well done. Thank you again!

I've always understood it simply as that Jesus was focused on the Jews at the time.
@Whip'em up! seriously?! Copying and pasting your trolling comments everywhere! Making no sense whatsoever!
ALLOUT4CHRIST Ha someone else who noticed this trolls tactics, I probably shouldn’t have wasted my time editing his retarded claim that, the Bible can’t have world view bc everyone interprets things differently but if you’re interested 👇🏽
And still is!
I miss hearing the song you used to play at the end of your videos.
I’m glad we can explain the scriptures in such a way as to never offend women
Thank you!
@Whip'em up! No one said anything about a Christian worldview. What are you talking about?
I tend to use the ESV more often than not but, for the sake of the Mark series, I am using the NASB. Since I can't find what I consider to be the "best" translation but can find several which seem good I try to reference multiple translations in my prep.
Jorge Anido He’s a possible troll, or just a ignorant atheist (idk) trying to snuff out people’s faith with a poor understanding of both reading comprehension.

@@justchilling704 Good response. Yeah, I figured a troll who just wanted to stir strife.
I love this story... so many people have gotten this story wrong..
Well explained. Thank you.

Hi Mike,
I have enjoyed your lectures on your RUclips channel for years and they have always been very inspirational.
Before they were allowed into the promise land, if we had to do anything like that no-one would be in church.but we don't have to beacuse Jesus lead the way
Why dint Jesus call the Roman centurion who asked for healing for his servant a dog? After all he was a gentile too
Thank you.❤️
People tend break down jesus words to much to understand it when jesus says that his people hear him and his words they know it is true.
Ok..that makes sense. I always didn't understand that. Thank you a ton!!
We all breathe the breath of God. No, we are not dogs regardless of our religion. I have had to accept painful remarks when battling for a cause. I think the issue is not to withdraw when someone says something we don't like. We have to rise above words.
If I create god, then he is not worth worshiping.
If God create me, how can I not worship Him?
