It watches in the dark sounds like something I would be into. Why is middle grade horror so good? I also almost bought Piglet for the same reasons. I love that you are focusing on ENJOYING what you read and DNFing when you don't.

There are so many books I'll be adding to my endless tbr, and that's why I enjoy watching your videos! That's cool you're continuing to reinvent your channel by doing grouped book videos instead of wrap ups. I'm thinking of going back to individual review videos because wrap ups can be so brief! ❤

Another I enjoyed from Simone st James is the sun down hotel which I really loved . I also read the book of cold cases. I finally finish reading the god of endings which I loved being in that world. I really can’t wait for Jacqueline holland to write another book. I really loved her writing 😊☕️📚 as far for videos I will watch anything you post. I do enjoy magical realism and haunted house 🏚️🎃👻

I love Simone St James, Sun Down Motel got me back into reading. My favorite of hers is The Broken Girls though. I think with your taste, wanting stronger girls/women it might be up your alley. It’s two timelines, and yes there are women victims for the mystery, but so much of it is about what these girls/women go through and their strength. You get a peek into history after WWII and the nuances of being a girl then, which gave me a lot to think about, but I just rooted for so many characters. There’s also a present day timeline with a strong female lead. I also thought it was different, as in not predictable. All her books have that supernatural edge. I hardly ever read supernatural but I love how this author does it.
Lol..you go on to mention you don’t like books about WWII. This book is set after, it’s not heavy about the war, it’s just kindof like how we are effected by 2020 panini..in the past timeline some of the character development is about how these girls were effected by how the world was and how people in their lives were effected and thus effected them. Maybe that’s too much info, but since you mentioned it thought I would add. 🤦‍♀️

YES, I wonder if it's just something I've noticed for some reason but I always tend to notice thrillers on goodreads struggle to Crack that 4 star rating barrier! 😅 I think it could be that thrillers seem to be very hit or miss for people, so the ratings can be wildly all over the place!
