Credit to Samson for the lengths he goes to, to challenge his darting skills. Love this new, 'Darts With A Concussion' video.

Thank you, Samson, for your videos. I've been throwing off and on for several years. One of my biggest character defects is poor sportsmanship. I'm learning to allow myself bad darts and not lose my temper at myself for them. I really appreciate that. Great video title, by the way!

Good for you my friend. Most of us struggle to recognise our flaws and that’s the hardest part. We can learn from there. Cheers for the message.

Throw looked especially good to open the video, even if it hadn't been a decent score. But it was, so bonus. No more milk for you! 🤣

    Love it.
Been watching your vids mate as i only started playing properly in April this year. We should organise a game on Darts counter as we're at a similar level 👍

What you described (the reason for the stitches) has actually happened to me. Thankfully I collapsed onto a carpeted floor and just had a massive carpet burn on my forehead. I was told it was cause by the cramping in my bowels making my blood pressure drops that much that I collapsed. The Dr put it down to a really bad episode with my IBS. I've collapsed 3 or 4 times since then with the same thing. The 1st time it happened to me was 15+ years ago, The last time was 4 or 5 years ago and my wife had to call an ambulance out. It's scaring because you aren't completely unconscious either.
Glad your feeling a bit better now.

Wow this is probably my most interesting comment yet. It sounds exactly like I had and makes total sense. I read a book on the body recently and how people faint or pass out and all about blood shunting and going to various parts of the body. Fortunately it hasn’t happened to me before and I can maybe prepare myself more if something similar happens again. Maybe tie a pillow to my head 😅

@@SamsonDoesDarts180 - For me I try to avoid foods that set my IBS off it's just that sometimes random foods that aren't normally an issue are an issue.

Helloooo Samson, glad to see you're still kicking around and throwing arrows after the milk incident.. The darts are looking sharper in terms of release despite your criticisms of inconsistency etc. I predict a very swift increase in your skill over the next few weeks based on how you're throwing now. With regards to my own game, I've been throwing Littler Gen 1 pixels with intermediate K--flex or intermediate Target Pro Grip stems now since April. The other day I randomly switched to the Luke Humphries TX1 darts, as my throw was going all over the place with the pixels, and I'm using the Joust XL 65mm Humphries stems also, and I've never thrown better in my life. I'm not sure if it's cognitive bias since Humphries is my favourite player, or a honeymoon phase, but I'm playing my best stuff ever. Sort of reminded me of you switching back from the Asp G2s to the Nastri's, I think sometimes raw intuition and feeling might rule all in this game... Keep up the grind, looking forward to your next videos.

Helloooo! Haha, yeah, still kicking after the infamous "milk incident" and now rocking an eyebrow scar as well! 😅 Thanks for the kind words on the darts - trying to iron out those inconsistencies bit by bit. I’m hoping that prediction of yours holds true.
Interesting about the dart switch! The Humphries TX1 with the Joust XL stems sounds like it’s really working wonders for you. I get what you’re saying about raw intuition sometimes taking the lead. Sometimes a fresh setup just feels right, and maybe it’s not all in our heads. Switching back to the Nastri’s felt like coming home for me too, so maybe there's something to trusting those gut instincts!
Glad to hear you're throwing your best stuff ever. Keep riding that momentum! Appreciate the support, mate, and I'll definitely keep the videos coming. Cheers!

@@SamsonDoesDarts180 Love to hear that, will be following my predicted improvement closely as time goes on. Yeah the Humphries darts are a weird one, I really didn't think I'd like a barrel below 50mm in length but it is really working greatly. You're absolutely right about the gut instinct, sometimes that can give you that "ease" of throw as well if you're silently confident subconsciously in a new setup.

Hey Samson, on this vid, when you are on 7, 8 & 9, look at your head position against the back corner of your room (as a static point), and see how much it is swaying/moving during the backswing and forward release... moving a good inch or two. Not sure if it'll help you or not but I noticed it during your throw. Good luck Mr, hope your eye heals well!

Thanks for this, it is the main reason I started the channel was to get feedback like this. It is much appreciated. I will take a look and see if I can reduce that

No worries. It's something I've been trying to correct with my own throw and found that it has helped (when I apply it!), which is maybe why I spotted it.

Some time you need less milk with your cookies! Heal up quickly if you plan on any soccer practice. We need to come up with a better storyline, you reached for the goblet and it fell into your eye! Or you were starting rugby and the scrum was difficult. Keep rocking out these videos

I have been playing for about 13 years and i probably got to around a 40-50 average over the first year and then have plateau’d ever since and haven’t improved since them first year gains 😂 i still love playing the game despite how terrible i am and watching your videos you post just sparks the urge to play even more. What still irritates me after 13 years is the inability to hit the big numbers! Say im on 53 and want 13 for tops, i would have more luck hitting tops than the big 13!! Now that really bugs me because any decent player should be able hit the big numbers with ease.

Great message. Thanks for this. You’ve made great progress from your starting point and you at least know what you to improve on. So focus on that in a way you haven’t before !

    • @pjneale

Like you mention in your videos. I think its all in my head. As soon as i need to hit a big number to get me on a double, i feel this sense of anxiety come over me and my throw is just wayward and i can feel the tension and the snatching in my throw. One of my practice sessions is to try and go around the board from 1-20 like you do but having to hit the big number only and you cannot miss. So 20 darts to complete the game. At best i can get to 6-7 before i miss 😂
