ngl i think the air fryer wins here. Take the time you save on the potatoes, the mass appeal of the way it makes salmon and the minuscule difference between chicken wings, all topped off with the fact that it prevents consuming tons of shitty oils that would normally be used to fry and you got a pretty damn convincing argument for an air fryer W.
Honestly, I'm a taste over convenience type of person, quality over quantity. The traditional cooking is better in that regard, but I completely agree that the air fryer is 120% easier to use. End of the day, traditional cooking for me for everything, minus chicken nuggets (the air fryer is really good for lazy day chicken nuggets, those don't taste any different no matter how you cook them, I swear).
fair enough and I'd agree. If i want something to taste like I put my soul into it, it's not going in an air fryer. That being said there's also some knowledge needed in learning how to cook with an air fryer that Josh didn't really show like frying and then finishing with a broil for the crisp it lacked. Not all fryers do that though so you right. I'd sum it up to: a good cook > air fryer, a mid cook < air fryer. @@justxigoldenix9909
Salt potatoes are definitely a NY thing. Grew up a few hours from Syracuse and we slammed those things. I've seen people saying "aren't those just french fries?" but they'll just never understand the tray of salt potatoes at a family cookout
To, Floridian my whole life. Buddy from New York got married down here and his mom came down from New York and made trays of salted buttered potatoes. Absolute fire!
Collab idea: Same type of video format but do Tim vs Josh and have them judge. could do something like waffles, steak, and like a burger maybe. Something like that. Banger video if you ask me haha
There is NO such thing on this planet or any other, as boneless wings! They are nuggets, tenders, strips, fingers, popcorn at that point. GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL, TIMMY!!!
Man. The moment he put the taters in I thought to myself "Man, those look kinda like salt potatoes". Born and raised north of Albany, but always remember Salt potatoes growing up.
This video just shows that air fryers really are awesome because every single one of these they were like eh they are basically the same and not one time did they say one is way better for joshs cooking
We do similar things to salt potatoes in Texas at home I think we call em steakhouse potatoes or medley potatoes usually white red and purple small potatoes with salt but we add a more salt pepper blend
i live that salt potato life! grew up in syracuse right down the street from the carrier dome. live in PA now though and no one knows what im talking about.
I learned from trial and error the best way to cook chicken wings in the Air Fryer. 1) put seasoning in flour, coat the wings just enough to cover in flour. ( light dusting) 2) put in Air Fryer at 280 for 18 minutes. take out and let rest for 15 3) put them back into the Air Fryer at 400 for 10 minutes. 4) Thank me later
good for tim to make a 2nd channel just for the reaction. i love your gameplay and to see you branch out is joy. mr.tatman when will you see you make some food-because i cant wait to see some recipes or your takes on some food that we might like
Born and raised in Syracuse! Live in Denver now and boooooooy let me tell you do I miss some salted potatoes. The Midwest doesn't know what they are missing
Syracuse salt potatoes are a regional specialty of Syracuse, New York, aka "Salt City." Salt potatoes date to the 1800s, and were invented by local salt mine workers who created a simple and inexpensive lunch by boiling small potatoes in brine. The potatoes are still very popular today with the Central New York crowd, making an incredibly easy and delicious side dish.
TIM since you love boneless wings so much you should try fried chicken oysters. oyster is a small nugget of dark meat each chicken has 1 behind each thigh. it's considered the "chef's treat" as it's mostly an unknown piece and gets eaten by chefs. it's the most juicy flavorful bite on a chicken
100% he was referring to the office space. Also I think you should make a guest appearance video with Josh like yall have like a Josh vs Tim cook-off like he does with his gf.
Lol 😂😂😂 salt potatoes are a NY STATE FAIR THING. I'm in the Lake George area of NY and my mom use to buy the bags of salt potatoes to make at home that came with a 2.5Lb bag of salt to put in the water with the potatoes lol 😆.
TimTheTatman x Joshua Weissman collab would be so good, imagine Josh just cooking all the classic TTT foods - waffles, boneless wings, tacos, etc
And Tim would just sit there with a bib, eating it all, while complaining about how 'fat' he is. Straight money videos, right there.
I’m glad Timmy still does the music on the other channels. Love the outro music

ngl i love air fryers but the people judging were kinda bad at judging from someone who fries and air fries chicken wings
