- In 2023, I became pregnant with our baby girl and my pregnancy hormones somewhat caused me to go HARD on retail therapy. Except... I bought things second hand. Then I lost track of time and left all my purchase packages sit idle without opening them. Well, it's time for me to change that NOW!!
After our baby girl was born, it made me re-evaluate how I want to approach my collecting hobby. If I were more into collecting core/signature dolls both in box and out of box before, now I want to stick to out of box. Why? There are several reasons to my decision but one of the biggest ones being that I am simply out of space. So some of the purchases I made during the pregnancy will need to go. Major destashing is coming but before all, I need to tackle Mount Unopened Packages.

Thank you Amy! It was tough at first because she seemed so fragile but now that we have her routine and such down, she's the best baby there is! I LOVE being a mom and can't imagine a life without Ari. As for the projects.... I will get to them slowly one by one. It might take years to finish but I will get to them 🤣

I did this as well during my third trimester when I was almost bed bound. Pregnancy was rough for me and I bought a ton of original mh that I'm still fixing and loving 4 years later. So happy to see you thriving as a momma💜
Glad to hear that I wasn't the only one! It's gonna be awhile until I am able to get through all of the doll fixing projects. With Mattel's overuse of glue, I found my dolls with some serious glue seepage problems after I got them out of storage so now, those dolls are on my list of doll fix projects too lol It honestly feels therapeutic to do it at slow pace so I am not complaining too much :) Thank you so much for your kind words
Love the name you guys chose! I had a bunch of little projects for when my baby was sleeping but cleaning always took that free time 😪 now I have 2 under 2 and all free time is for sleeping lol
Aww, thank you so much! So far, cleaning around the house and my doll room has been taking all of my "free" time while the baby is sleeping. I am hoping once my room is in order, I'll start to use that time to clean up the dolls/toys and work on mini projects 🤣 It might be a bit ambitious but a girl can try. hehe lol

I just finished my collection of Rainbow High G1 and I think that's where i'll stop I might buy the occasional doll from G2 but I don't need a full set of those!
Those green yarn haired dolls are ice cream kids they were popular during the 80's a bit riding on monchhichi's success their faces and noses kinda resemble them...

@@dollastic Yes, all of the G1 dolls Shadow High and Jr High included, basically all the ones that had full articulation, once the wrists were gone I stopped.
The ice cream kids are so sweet aren’t they? I buy a lot on thrift stores and see the giant ones often, but never buy them as they’re sometimes as tall as I am!!! 🤣
And as you can guess I already have space issues as is.

Omg I feel this so hard!! I went through the same thing when my daughter was born--I was stuck at home all day not only because I became a stay at home mom but it was during the pandemic, so online shopping went crazy. 😩Now we have 3 wardrobes filled with dolls, 3 dollhouses that are basically doll storage now, plus all the walls with the display dolls 😭 My kids love it lol but as a grown adult who needs space to function...we are in need of major downsizing as well 🤧

AWW it's been quite some time already, but congratulations again on having ari !! i'm sure she's wonderful, especially with her wonderful parents :) gotta love (secondhand) retail? therapy haha all of these different doll lines are super cute but MOUSECEDES MY FAVE i'd love to get her in the future. the list of many different projects is very relatable tbh i have a pile of thrifted dolls i want to restore and/or customize, lots of sewing and sketching ideas- still, it's a big thing in and of itself to sift through those things, even one at a time. it's great to hear from you again and looking forward to the next video ♡

I got my cousin a Polly pocket when it was on clearance like you know you buy things on clearance last year the year before for her birthday I got her into it. My mom would not let me have it because she said oh you get lost all the pieces so anyway, I decided to go with her my inner child with her and her child so she got them, but I get to play with it as well so I love it a win-win for me And then I don’t know if you remember this game called princess princess and it was from the 90s and I found it and I was like I got my cousin when they had another version of it and I bought it for her for her birthday, but it’s just fun.
