Golden Glue reaction cam was such a good addition here, I bet he knew them all too
Yeah, I remember when Goldenglue came in for Scarra all those years ago…he’s really taken a journey since then, and I’m so happy to see him working in the scene still!
big facts
good ol Golden Glutes.
golden guardians' golden gamer greyson "goldenglue" "golden glutes" gilmer
APA not knowing Saint was hilarious
Bro I was so upset hahaha
Tbh saint was only known to old players cause you got called saint any time you missed a smite. He never was memorable or good enough to be still talked about
Lol he probs thought saints a kitchen worker hahaha
@@HigherKaijuhe had some wild stories back in the day lol. His interactions on CLG were funny af
It was even funnier that everyone BUT APA knew who he was lmao
Bro APA seeing saintvicious around the TL house and not knowing who he is, is top tier comedy 😂
The only memorable things about him as a pro was really bad stuff though. Like either memeable gameplay or just hilariously crazy stories.
Dang, I thought I wouldn't be that interested in this as a newer fan, but hearing the current players tell stories about the older ones was really cool
really wish you people and myself too could travel back to these LCS days , it was so different and better
I love the new players too and feel like we have some great personalities now, but it’s awesome walking down memory lane. The LCS in its early days was a lot of wild drama but it was also amazing to see a video game I love be a sport. I never thought I’d be still watching 11 years later!
Old Dig was the best
@@baronnashor158I think LCS is doing better with showing off these peoples as entertainers and not just serious all the time overpaid hyper nerds but your right growing up with OG LCS and preLCS just hits absolutely different
LCS in 2013 was the best 😢
river biggest froggen fan🤣, goldenglue laughing at rivers guesses was funny
Tomio revealed a core memory of the LCS 😂
his clear memory of someone being their buttcrack has got me dying over here 🤣
As an old LCS fan I'm happy that some of the OG pros are still remembered. Things were crazy back then. Endless entertainment as a fan with all the drama.
Travis really brought out Nientonsoh on the year of our lord 2024, and we still got some correct answers... That makes me happy.
I was waiting for his Pic the whole time.
Got to admit I had forgotten him completely 😭. Got the rest tho
I have a Nien autograph on my wall. Got that signed poster from the CLG documentary.
i know team marn, megazero, clakeyD. But forget their bot lane :(
Man, Nien is still one of the LCS's biggest "what-ifs" to me. He might be best remembered for the top lane Elise triple kill and base defense against TSM, but for those who don't know - Nien was an otherworldly ADC talent before CLG took a rider on him for top lane. He was MRN's ace in the hole, often hard carrying a team with a Diamond 2 jungler to their only wins(much love still for ClakeyD).
So as a Doublelift/CLG fan, you can imagine the mixed emotions when he joined CLG. Sure, he was on my favorite team - but as a top laner? A lot of people were skeptical about the roleswap - and even as his biggest fan, I have to admit that while he grew a lot in the role and was saddled with playing perma-weakside, it was always clear that it wasn't a perfect fit. Nien took the role to be on a better team - and you know what, they still got 3rd in the split when TSM and C9 were dominant.
Nien went back to AD for a bit after the top-lane stint, but he never quite looked the same. I dream about a world where he managed to get an AD position on another top team and never had his skills decline - but from the sporadic appearances over the year, he still seems to be a nice, happy-go-lucky guy - which is the real reason I was such a fan in the first place. Hope you're doing well wherever you are, Nien.
Great write up. Thank you. Nien was awesome
Tomios knowledge and passion was surprising for his age he deserves to be here
I guess you haven’t heard
@hotprints lol gasp it's a shame really hope he comes back somehow looks like he likes lcs surprised how many he got right
@@swayarrow yup. he was put in a pretty tough spot. really like his character though and hope he can bounce back
Watching Huhi basically get them right just reminds me how long he has been in the scene
Dude the minute I saw blaber I knew he was going to Smurf. Even his one miss he was listing the most random things that even I forgot about lol.
He remembered the one random game link subbed in for hai at some non sense tourney
@@HigherKaiju The non sense tourney was MSI
@@mortryx no it wasn’t. It was all stars
I had the feeling Spica was going to perform as well, and he didn't disappoint! Armao absolutely killed it though
dude def grew up watching lcs and ended up living his childhood dream. inspiring. I saw him at a mcdoanlds in nyc during worlds in like 2022 shouldve gone up and said hi. what a legend.
I feel so old. I knew all of them instantly LMAO. Seeing Nien at the end LOL.
Tomio crushed this wtf
I know, and his only 20. I guess his a real fan of lcs
RIP Tomio’s 2024 LCS career
bro must've been an LCS fan at 10 years old, what a legend
Blew me away, I felt old as fuck recognizing all of them but I'm 26. Getting all of them right at 20 is crazy.
River was my favorite part ngl 😭😭
him asking about the gunnars is hilarious. I remember there was an era where a bunch of the players had those.
“Damonte” Golden Glue 💀
This one was really good. I missed a couple that I shouldn't have. Gg to Armao for the carry.
grig been around too long not to have known everyone
I love that you showed clips to show what was referenced. Without it, id have no idea. Whats wild is this video made me respect hotshotgg more than i ever knew.
Blabber is such a genuine LCS fan
Great video, but you forgot the score card in the end :(
Oh man Wildturtle just getting subbed in and pulling out a pentakill in his first game was so funny. Really put his meat on the table and passed the vibe check
dude this video was hilarious, we have some great personalities in this one. plus tomio is so clearly so invested in the league and its history, what a shame he got subbed out. hope he gets another shot
Amazing video even though it made me feel old. Maybe next time we can have someone else other than froggen as the mystery person 15 times in a row lol
bro i knew almost none of these old players haha. Great video! Goldenglues reactions were so funny
the fact that now Huhi is old old makes that even funnier
Dang we didn't get a final tally for the number of correct/incorrect. That's one of the best parts of this series being able to see them stack ranked without having to remember
This was a very nice episode. Going down memory lane. Was nice to hear the player tell stories of them. This is what we need
This video made me feel so old. Recognized everyone.
Armao hinting at the Chaox drama is so funny
Got all of them (educated guess on Chauster) except my gut reaction to Chaox was Balls before i heard the gunners talk
What a trip down memory lane
Goldenglue's reactions were absolutely priceless
my favorite segment so far. Man I feel old instantly recognizing all the faces! It’s come a long way LOL
Wow wasnt subbed. I don't watch a lot of your content, but your dedication to the game over the years is truly remarkable and impressive. The way you have covered the league scene over the years has clearly shown your passion and professionalism. Thanks Travis! True LoL icon
been playing since s2, think you have always been around. Props
Calling kiwikid Scarra is amazing
Dude Trav I legit love this. Throwbacks to the history of LCS is smart. wpwp
Link and Nien were the two I couldn't remember the names of, but seeing Nintendudex and Tomio bringing up the buttcrack thing got me good. Also, props to the younger pros who knew most or all of them!
Is this the first question Blaber has ever gotten wrong on LCS trivia questions?
I remember when LoL first came out the guys at the top of the solo que ladder would be guys like Hotshotgg, reginald, feedfest. And then it was Voyboy and bigfatGG for a couple of seasons. Now that seems like forever ago, actually now thinking about it, it was (14-16 years a go)
7:08 Imagine you see this face and all you remember of him was his buttcrack 😭
Thank you, Kia!
I got to meet kiwi kid in Maryland at a random magic draft. Dude helped me build my deck, super smart guy
Crazy I knew all of them except NintendudeX... I heard the name before, but didn't know what he looked like.
This video brought back crazy memories for me. So nostalgic.
Huhi’s hoodie is too clean man.
River guessing Jensen for KiwiKid is insane 💀
Fantastic video and you made some great choices. This was a throwback to watch as a boomer lcs viewer and funny for the player reactions.
Holy shit I feel old knowing all of them
Tomio knowing basically all of them was really impressive, he's younger than a lot of the other current pro's in this vid
I haven't thought about any of these players in forever, but I was able to name all but Nien. I remember actively looking for either Chaox or Doublelift to be in game, back when you used to be able to watch high elo games live thru the client. They should bring this feature back.
Loved this video! I missed Chaox and Chauster, but got the rest. Shocked Blaber didn't know Nien.
Damm these old players bring back memories. I miss the old days where franchising wasnt a thing. Drama was involved everywhere and tsm clg rivalry was the best.
As an OG C9 fan, I was really hoping to see Balls or LemonNation on here, maybe the head nod LemonNation meme is still around? I'm sure they would all still know Hai, Meteos, and Sneaky ofc.
Blaber finally lost oh my god. Immediately remembered facts about him after hearing the name tho lol.
Fantastic video. As someone who has watched the whole damn time, I still only got the first 2...
i'm just bad with faces, i got into watching pro league specifically because of chaox and i didn't even recognize him.
At this point your content has surpassed the LEC stuff! Happy to be able to still watch quality 😊
Tomio actually knows everyone and everything related to LCS
Bro this is such a nostalgia trip for someone who watched and used to attend LCS regularly before they moved to the current studio. I wanna take a time machine back to 2011-2013 and experience it for the first time all over again 🥹🥹
This was incredible thank you for this haha. Please do more.
Very fun Travis!
I’m surprised River didn’t guess Palafox since he was basically naming Froggen and Damonte and Palafox was next in line for all the mids that Froggen mentored.
Met GoldenGlue on a flight, nicest guy ever! Also it’s hilarious how Huhi has basically played with everyone 😂
GoldenGlue's reaction cam is one of the best parts of this video
I was hoping I’d get them all but NintendudeX stumped me, got the rest of them instantly though
Man, this made me feel old... But it put a smile on my face 😊
Having a series where Travis interviews these older players would absolutely slap. Honestly do it Travis.
Was waiting for the original lcs riven megazero or should i say MEGAHERO
Classic and well done all the contestants, especially River!
River is a real one for accepting to do this. Bro knew there was no chance he got any of these and still went for it.
These make me feel old because I still remember everything about old lcs
Looking at the old league players...and knowing all of them. Damn I'm old af. 😂
What’s funny to me is that I knew all these old players but couldn’t figure out who the SR player was. He stood out to me with how much he knew so I was really confused how I didn’t know him until I looked in the comments and realized that’s Tomio 😅 I’ve somehow never seen what he looks like before
When River asked about anivia player for Hotshot and my first thought was BigFatlp rather than Froggen XD
should do more of these and bring back memories of lesser known players who were goated.
I feel old as shit since I instantly recognized everyone except one player
Man I feel old I remember watching all of these players when they actually played
Hoping Tomio regains a spot in the LCS either in a better fitting meta or team but dude seems like such a solid guy
yay sponsor! I kept waiting for TOO to pop up and someone to reference scurvy XD
the fact I could name every player shown & their lore got me feeling old asf haha
I definitely did not get all of them, but at least I only missed 3. And I recognized all of the names once I heard them.
Goldenglue laughing his ass off in the background is peak.
Blaber can do this all day, he knows everything about LCS history
Such a throwback. I knew all of these as well.
A lot of these guys were back when getting pros in Normal games wasn’t that hard cause the ELOs weren’t as spread out. I played vs. HotshotGG (he was poppy), and I just remember my team was hellbent on insuring he had less than 1 KDA. We achieved that goal and lost horribly 😅 He seemed impossibly slippery, so we were sending 4 at a time after him :p
I remember Saint and Chauster were grumpy. Not toxic, but stuff like Chauster telling people to learn what perpendicular means when they kept getting hit by skillshots.
I got all of these and then I was like…oh, I’m old 😂
Was waiting for my boy CruzerTheBruzer
Got 'em all 'cause I'm a boomer but Chaox was the one that took me the longest to remember.
Needs to be harder next time. All of these guys are iconic if you watched s1-3.
Love this content, more please!
This was so much fun. Got every one but nien and im so mad I couldn’t remember his name! 😂
Travis this is gold. I feel so old.
THANKS for making me feel old by acing this test.
A ranking list at the end would have been nice.
5:40 Spica probably could write one about TSM
Saintvicious of the Kitchen
i agree with spica something like links manifesto should come back honestly that shit was TOP TIER
Not me knowing them all and feeling old...
Recognizing them all, I just feel old now.
Crazy Huhi only knowing link through the team when he replaced him.
Blaber and Huhi know their Sht
There were really hard ones. Still sad, I really wish the time 2013 to roughly 2017 back.
such a good video lmfao!
Tomio is so funny to me and I hope to keep seeing him around
Of course Grigne got them all. I'm still bummed out that we didn't get to see TheRainMan
Such a memory trip :)
