Not much into the Limited blasters but if this one goes on sale I would definitely consider it. It looks great. My son is really into Star Wars, specifically Tantooine right now so this would be well received in my house.
I Canceled my pre order because of that Needler situation that you mentioned. My Needler pre order payment with Hasbro went through the day before Black Friday. Smh. Great review.
Only a matter of time Amazon shocks the world with a 50% off sale like they did with the Needler, and that’s when I’ll think about it. The whole letdown with the shell texture and sharpie marker thing was a bit of a turn off TBH. Good video though.
@@foamquest To be fair, while complaining that preorders got the blaster _last_ instead of _first_ is a perfectly valid complain, but complaining that the blaster is kept available for the fans to buy after the novelty of the release is not a valid one - it even kind of reeks of fake elitism, no two ways around it. I got my "limited" series blaster (not the EE3 but the Aliens pulse rifle, but it's basically the same situation) the first day it was available for actual sale (because preorders were not available on my country) but I am not "unhappy" that other fans could still buy it some months afterwards. The more, the merrier. And the fact it is now cheaper than it was before is just the price I pay for having been already playing with the things for months, instead of waiting and betting on it eventually being on sale (and risk it being discontinued and losing it). Never mind that this way, I can buy two or three at a smaller price to outfit my squad for a bug hunt.
@notfeedy notlazy You make good points! I understand your perspective! I apologize if my complaints seem like any form of elitism (I hate gatekeepers), but let me try to convey and elaborate on my thoughts. I definitely agree that giving equal opportunity to buy these products is a must-have, I know certain countries get access to products later than others, and that's unfortunate! I live in the United States, so that's where my perspective is based. Generally, when an LMTD blaster is released, it's available to purchase within a window of several months! If someone doesn't purchase within those several months, I feel like they're not super interested! I'm a collector, I like investing in rare and/or valuable blasters, and products that are widely available aren't typically either. The Red Strike line, which was only sold on one Black Friday, ended up being as valuable as it is because of its limited nature. Maybe Hasbro could make some form of compromise? Like the same blaster as its limited counterpart, with the same features but in a different color and widely available. Maybe if they did that with every LMTD blaster, more would be satisfied? That's just my take! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! :)
Honestly a really cool design. I love the way it looks and fires. But id immediately disable the firing speaker and try to keep the open and close door sounds
This one actually doesn't seem half bad! Would have been cooler if it was a shotgun. But still cool, it would be epic to see a Elite 2.0 version maybe?
I suspect a lot of the sales for this will be from people like me who have no interest in Nerf, but are Star Wars fans I'll be buying it, stripping it down to paint accurately, then putting it on display (but occasionally taking it down and shoot the kids with)
Just received mine, and loading a cylinder fails half the time (i.e. it get stuck sideways) and a lot of misfires, not sure if I'm doing something wrong :(
Well, it's technically serviceable for a casual (70 FPS) capped game. But I don't think I'd recommend it if you hope to have a good winning chance. However, if you just really like the look of it and want to have fun, sure!
I don't think it was worth it. I not only purchased this, but also the Mandolorian Rifle, and Aliens Pulse Rifle. Out of those 3, I feel this one doesn't measure up. The scale feels wrong, it feels bigger and looks bigger than a screen version. Some would say, "well it is a Nerf gun and they have to be large enough to fire the darts". But I don't buy that as an excuse for it's cumbersome size. Mando's blaster rifle looks more to scale, and the Aliens pulse rifle seems spot on. The old Nerf DH-17 Rebel blaster could be a scale replica of a screen prop. IMHO it's not worth it. I wish the devs would have spent their time creating a decent replica of Mando's pistol.
@@foamquest I've heard other youtubers comment that this is screen-accurate not of the original trilogy's blaster, but of the new Bobba Feet / Mandalorian series. If _(if)_ that's true, it would be kind of an understandable decision on their part. If that's not correct, it would be indeed a valid complaint.
@notfeedy notlazy Yeah, I know it's based on the BOBF version! And it's a very close replica! But I understand why some might think it's inaccurate because the original trilogy versions do look noticeably different, and those versions are the most recognizable and classic!
Nice review. It is an interesting blaster. That light up target is cool too.
Thanks! It's interesting for sure!

For a Star Wars fan , I think It would definitely be worth it on sale!

Definitely an annoying situation! Did you end up buying one on sale? Thanks!

I saw this on the PNNN news and was so pissed. I’m a big Star Wars fan and this was a huge let down.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a 50% off sale! When will Hasbro learn that limited should mean LIMITED!

Oh wow missed this one but this blaster looks really sweet.
It has some really cool elements!

I agree. It would have been even cooler if it fired multiple darts at once! I would love to see an Elite 2.0 version!
@@foamquest a burst fire mode like in the games would've been cool.
@@Guatdefook YES!
I kinda want to check out the Star Trek LMTD blaster coming this December.....it looks great!
I think the big one's supposed to have lights and sounds? If so, I'm always a fan of that kind of thing!
In the pictures the shells were gold lol
Yeah, they did seem shinier in the original images!
i thought it was gonna be a quad barrel shotgun...rip
That would've been cool!

The Aliens Pulse Rifle case was pretty cool too.
True!
You could just do the John wick mag dump technique to get the cartridges out 😝👍🏻

I'm sorry you're not having a good experience! Could you describe the issue in more detail?
I got mine as a raffle prize yesterday 😎👍
@paulfranco9052 WHOA, Nice! What do you think?
Would you say this is good for a nerf war

If only it fires all 4x darts.
That would've been cool!
I'm disappointed with the stock. It is very poorly connected to the gun.
