I had a similar situation not that long ago. I showed an old art friend of mine a finished drawing that I was incredibly proud of. She shamed me for the face and how it looked completely different than the reference because of my art style. I didn't understand why she hated it so much, I even quit drawing for a bit. Not that long after, we had a big fight about how she always criticizes me and degrades me for fun. I finally was free once I stopped being friends with her, I jumped back into drawing with more confidence than before and my passion for art has grown ever since, never give up on your dream of being an artist! I love your art style and hope you became famous and well known in the future :3

The art community has a really strong problem with "beauty standards", the only way they like a style or a drawing is if only the face or body have super sonico/ Jesica rabbit type of cute or sexy beauty onto it, they can't accept wacky, strange, or even story like features or proportions because they only see it as...ugh I hate the word but they only see art that's not on the beauty norm and call it "woke". One of the reasons why I hate tik Tok so much is because instead of analyzing or finding the uniqueness of it, they only want to see how porcelain the character looks for their own eyes to be satisfied. I can understand going private or stop posting due to bullying/harassment online but if you straight up quit drawing altogether not only do you let the haters win but you'll never improve/stop making "bad" art. Sometimes hate comments can be so hurtful to someone at the point of losing motivation. As I said, it happen to me years ago before this and that's exactly what happen to me. It made me feel like I was worthless and that the better thing was quitting. It's not that easy to just "keep drawing" sometimes it takes more than that.
To be fair, I love your art style. It's refreshing to see you take your own direction regardless of whether or not people find it "conventional." I think your art style is nice because it feels like it fights back against the norm of having to do things a specific way. (+I find the style very charming)

I don't understand people that quit art because of other people's opinions. I can understand going private or stop posting due to bullying/harassment online but if you straight up quit drawing altogether not only do you let the haters win but you'll never improve/stop making "bad" art. Sometimes hate comments can be so hurtful to someone at the point of losing motivation. As I said, it happen to me years ago before this and that's exactly what happen to me. It made me feel like I was worthless and that the better thing was quitting.
It's not that easy to just "keep drawing" sometimes it takes more than that.
