Never made it home like this before! Thank you so much! Last year I was stuck on a hill everyday after work. This year, I've made it home no problem. 17 inches of snow in anchorage alaska over the last 24hrs. So many people on the side of the road or the ditch. These tires are more than amazing. Made for the harshest of conditions

Just equipped my car with Hakka 9s studded! Could instantly feel the difference, plus they’re not as noisy as the previous ones and I’ve noticed over half a liter less in my fuel consumption ! All my four cars and SUV’s have Nokian tires, studded and non studded for the winter and they’re brilliant!
After taking a trip in the winter in north of Finland, I saw that these guys really know what winter is! I’ve lived for 2 years in Alaska and it wasn’t that harsh as in Finland.
Keep up the good work people!

Can not afford Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10 in 2024 so I bought Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9 today. If it worked when this video was made (7 years ago) then I am sure it still woeks today 😃

I just installed stud-less Hakka 9's on our LR Discovery. The thing is unstoppable. I can't believe the lateral grip on these. I was trying to break them loose on our country roads with fresh snow on them just this morning, and struggled to do so at high dry road speeds. Way better than the Scorpion Winters and Conti Wintercontacts i had on other SUV's. They really don't seem that loud to me. That may have something to do with the sound dampening of the vehicle too. I'm sure with studs its a different story.

@@reludennis I literally just switched from Conti tires w/ no studds to a new set of hakka 9. With conti I was afraid of driving 50+ km/h on icy roads, while hakka9 is so good I can actually drive at the speed limit. Also had a ton of situations where my Impreza would slide out on ice like if I was trying to drift. Tried that with hakka 9, nope - solid like a fking wall.

What would you suggest between norman 7 and haka9
Is there a huge difference worth the extra 300$ on a set?

I work at a tire shop in Finland so of course I had to get a set off these for my car, but yea the stud noise is far worse than the old Hakkapelitta 7 & 8, just waiting for some real snow now so they will shut up =) But they do behave better in the dry so far. (car feels less woolly)

We installed them on our production truck, and they are not that bad at all! We can confirm cause we rolled the Hakka8 last year with RW11 of Hankook! It's also not that cold outside so it seems worse! When it's gonna get colder, the sound will be even less present.

Bonjour Romuald!
      Bonne route!

Always get all 4 tires the same, whether studded or not. Otherwise your back end will have mor control than your front, not to mention most of your stopping power comes from your front tires.

Hi guys, what about the non-studded Hakkapeliitta 9's? I mean all reviews on internet are about studded tires and nothing about nonstudded. I got stuck between bridgestone dmv2 and hakkas 9... Suv 235/55/19 I have some great deals for both , the difference is not big.
The last 3 winters i used bridgestones but not for suv and i want to try the h 9 for my new suv.
    what do you suggest? Thanks

How many miles can we expect to get from these worst case scenario. My commute will be around 130miles a day with probably 45 on snow and ice and the rest on asphalt once it gets some traffic on it.

    • @kamden5619
      @kamden5619 6 лет назад

I would guess that 20000-30.000 km would be no problem. A mile is 1.6 km. So lets say 15.000-20.000 miles.
