Im a big joshua fan but some of you AJ fan boys are too much. Hes not unbeatable usyk could become a real risk in the heavyweight devision. Hes certainly got the skill set. Some of you are so menstral and protective nearly as bad as the wilder ldbc nutters.
@Spread Love hes not that small hes 6 ft 3 i know thats on the smaller side for a heavyweight but tyson was 5ft 10 and he did okay. I know they have different styles but its well known bigger men prefer to fight people who are taller look at fury the hardest fight he had was against cuningham and he arguably lost to 6ft 3 mcdermott size is andvantage but can also be a hindrance.

I've heard alot of Usyk but didn't watch much of him. After seeing him Ko Bellew in that fashion, I'd say he's lived up to the hype and then some. He's an anomaly, a big fleet footed south paw with power and technically sound. Watch out for this guy.

Would imagine usyk rehydrates to 215/220? If he bulks up a bit could end up 225/230, not that small for a heavyweight considering his technical abilities. Southpaw as well. Just have to c how it works out
Cruisers generally don't rehydrate that much, but if he went up I'd expect him to be in the 220 range. his style is dependent on speed and energy, so i don't expect him to go too high in weight.
But would the movement still be there for 12 rds at hw...maybe it will be..who knows

The ref stopped the action and instead of calling it a TKO have Fury a standing count. If the ref allowed the left punch to go through Fury would get KO’d…

@@johnrud454 to be fair, the WBO made him the 'Super' champion which entitles him to a title shot in a higher/lower division. Once he moves up, he will literally tell the WBO that he's ready and he'll be the mandatory.
As much as I like and respect Parker, he will want no part of even a 212lb Usyk. imo, Tyson Fury is really the man out there to stay in shape for about a year or two and then whoop Usyk, otherwise Usyk will be the king.

Wilder struggled with Szpilka who is around the same height as Usyk and Usyk is 100 times the boxer. Joshua struggled against poverty in early on who is shorter than Usyk and Usyk is the better fighter. Fury struggled against Steve Cunningham who is the same height as Usyk and not the same level as Usyk (he was really good tho won’t lie). Yes height plays a role in regards to reach and defense but Usyk is a boxing masterclass you got to stop doubting him. That said, out of all three I doubt him beating fury the most since they both like to box on the outside which would cause Usyk reach issues and Fury has the same if not greater ring IQ as Usyk.
And if we look at you as a boxer Johnny really you wasn't all that!

@Thomas Dauphan I hear you. There is a point that size overcomes style/technique. Let's put it this way: Povetkin, a very solid, sound fighter couldn't reach Joshua and Vlad just sat on him all night and bored everyone to death. Parker at 6' 4" couldn't reach Joshua. It's not just the fighting at a distance/reach differential: Usyk, like Lomo, sacrifices power generation for position. The heavyweight power is just too much. We shall see.

Have a word with yourself.uysk has great movement but when he starts feeling them body shots from an elite heavyweight then it will be a fight and I'm not saying uysk can't beat any of the heavyweights but it's not gonna be the same and if Uysk puts 20 pounds on is movement is not gonna be the same

The HW division is really shit level over this era, it is a great time for a cruiser to take over the two weights. Size may be an issue, but technically Usyk is levels above anyone in the HW division. I wish people would stop overrating Joshua, I'm a fan, but compared to historical levels in the division all of them are sub elite fighters.

I think if Tyson Fury can sort himself out both mentally and physically he could be the next Ali. Ben Davidson and his team are doing a great job. That's a massive statement, he has the skills, the gift of the gab. He has a decent chin and if he can get his fitness level up to an A+ grade he really could be the next Ali - Watch this space. Be very interesting when he does step up. Couldn't see him beating Tyson Fury though-with the six inch height advantage and no doubt three stone weight. I can't see how -despite his skills-he could nullify those disadvantages when Tyson uses them so cleverly within a boxing style. For me if Tyson wins Saturday night he can reign for a few years
Usyk beat Fury and should have been awarded a TKO win or allowed to KO Fury in round 9. Fury was saved by the ref. Usyk beat a man that was 6 inches taller, had a 7 inch reach advanatage and was 39 pounds heavyer who had the ref and the judges on his side. Usyk beat the system. David has slayed Goliath. I agree with Johnny Nelson, however Tyson Fury would be the only exception - but it seems Usyk would need a few more years to get enough weight on him for that. Provided Fury maintains condition, would be a threat to Usyk. I wonder what Steward thought about Usyk! While his main strength is ring iq and feints..Usyk boxes angles well and is a master of range of his jab. Good timing.. he will time the one to hit you well, he would whoop AJ or Wilder in a year or two. Also, Usyk has a spin move similar to Lomas but he has a few different variations, and they all end up with that ridiculous lead right hook on the end of it. He has another one that he jabs out of . Of course there's always his counter cross. But I agree with Nelson, Usyk is extraterrestrial and doesn't know how good he is . I think Usyks mid range slight inclined left uppercut is another really good punch Usyk has. He almost throws it straight .

Fury will be KO by Wilder in December so Usyk won't have to worry about him. AJ and Wilder will be his big threats I think they will be to big strong for him. Anyway he has to get past Bellow first before all this can happen.
Norman Dunagan. I believe usyk knows exactly how good he is undisputed champion twice gold medallist how can you not. Usyk technically is the best I've seen since Ali and about the same size. And the only fighter wilder has to worry about when he moves up to heavyweight. As for Fury come on he fought a 38yrs old ready to fall Klitschko and through only 87 contact punches chisora his best win before that. Fury moves like a middleweight but his big problem is he punches like a middleweight.
I have much love for Johnny Nelson, but his theory here is ridiculous. Joshua would destroy Usyk. He's 3" taller and about 50lbs heavier. That's too much power. Usyk is in his thirty's.
