    He was born same year as me, and in 95' I left Saint John for Toronto, I just turned 30, I just heard him for the first time, and I am sorry it took me so long, but that's when my life was changing, as his was ending, RIP John and thank you for your gift..

    Thank you John Renbourn, an artist and a gentleman. Brings back nights at university, reading mediaeval literature into the small hours, burning incense in student digs, wine with friends, etc. RIP - Now entertaining the angels.

      Lovely. Evokes memories of good times you had. I can concur with the same....all except the mediaeval literature ha ha. I was an 80s student.

    i met him when stefan grossman had a house in south london and i was taking lessons from duck baker, he was a bit pissed that in order to prove he was a professional musician for a new passport that he'd had to go and buy one of his own records. the days at the star and garter in putney were brilliant.
