Tzuyu has always been pushing herself to improve her vocals, she would always sing confidently for Encore's. I'm really proud of her! For me, she caught my attention since Like Ooh Aah~ because of her visuals (not gonna lie), but also because she's the one who resembles me the most personality-wise. She is also humble, has a big heart and loves animals 🥲 So for me, apart from being the most beautiful woman on Earth, she's a real angel who descended from heavens~ ♡♡♡
As always a great video! And yes, Tzuyu is absolutely ready for this. I think for me there's been different times that have proved it though. The "Dance For You" unit stage for Twicelights for example where she showed a much broader and natural use of mature expressions. The "Bloodline" dance cover where we saw a precision in her dance which has never been showcased properly before. And vocally I really think that while "Talk That Talk" was a huge turning point for her in tone, "Cactus" was the turning point for her emotionally. She was able to emote more effectively than ever before and it truly made me realize how far she had come. The same also goes for vocal power as she showcased that she can belt and build up towards the climax of a song properly. Tzuyu has always had something special, I think anyone who saw Sixteen whilst it was initially airing realized that right away. I remember the feeling of watching it for the 6mix members and watching her go up against Nayeon (who was a greatly popular and known trainee), and realizing that whilst Nayeon was far more vocally mature and she was a seasoned performer, there was a spark in Tzuyu when she performed which was almost magical to watch and near impossible to ignore. Tzuyu wasn't supposed to be in Sixteen, but she shined so brightly despite her lack of training at the time. There was a natural ability to perform and capture an audience that you almost couldn't put into words. I think many wrapped Tzuyu's popularity up in a box of her being pretty and cute, but I honestly think there was something about her that captivated people in a way they couldn't describe and so it was boiled down to her being pretty rather than her being able to hold the attention of the audience which I believe was what truly drew many to her. Now she's improved on everything, matured and sharpened her performance spark and so yes, she is ready. And she will shine.
If anyone is ready, it’s her. Tzuyu’s put in so much work over the last decade to be seen as more than just a pretty face and continues to improve every comeback. She wants to be seen as a true artist, she takes it seriously and I think this is her opportunity to really showcase her full talents.
Always thought she was a vital part of Twice with her voice and the way it fitted in with the others in their songs. I am so looking forward to her solo album, she deserves it.I am sure it will be a success.
This is a huge accomplishment when you consider the deep talent across ALL 9 members. Ngl, you could literally improve 9 other gg's by adding each one of our OT9 best girls. TWICE are the living legends of Kpop!!! 👸🍭✨
bro the first time I heard Talk That Talk i legit thought Tzuyu's line (the one you showcased in this video) was Jeongyeon until the MV cut to her singing the line. I was floored, that moment made me start paying closer attention to her vocals and how much her singing has grown and improved. my opinion overall is that Tzuyu is ready for a solo from a talent and ability standpoint, i just worry about promotions and music shows and stuff like that since she's on the shy side. but i'm sure she'll do great, she has Nayeon and Jihyo to give her advice about solo stuff specifically, and the rest of the group will be there to support her. when we inevitably get the "making of" video about the MV i'm fully expecting to see the other members visiting Tzuyu on set lol. this is a great opportunity for Tzuyu to experience challenges that she might not have had without doing a solo, and grow from them even more as an artist. i have no doubt she'll rise to the occasion. already proud of her and the debut hasn't even happened yet lmao
@@Jaytzuu another Tzuyu line that took me by surprise was in The Feels, it happens during the hair dryer bit in the MV, "shoot, I'm ready, aim & fire / baby I, whoa" specifically the latter part of that. It didn't really stand out to me that much until I saw their Killing Voice appearance and Tzuyu sang that line. I was like WHAT?? lmao
Great breakdown. And if we extend the melody projects...chae and dubu also had solos already. I think being a maknae in the kpop system means making some room for the unnies to shine, waiting for your time. This is now TZUYU TIME. And she really does have the vocal skillz, it was always there. I'll def buy the albums and stream..
Every single twice member has had melody projects ecxept Jeongyeon and momo. By this logic, Tzuyu would have already had her solo debut too. Though I’m rlly exited for Tzuyu’s solo debut, I don’t think it’s fair to count chaeyoung and Dahyuns melody project as a Solo debut. They don’t get to perform it or promote it. They just makes a music video and it’s forgotten in twices youtube channel never to be talked about again. Tzuyu is definitely one of the members that was kept in the shadows by JYPE but is not the most forgotten member. I don’t want to insinuate that she doesn’t deserve to debut solo right now. She’s my bias wrecker and I don’t think the order rlly matters that much when it comes to solos. She’s the first member from my bias line to debut solo and I’m happy they chose her but just wanted to point out that there are other twice members who have not been promoted by the company just as much if not more than her. She was never rlly the last choice to JYPE
@Anonymousflight-r6m a fair assessment. I still watch the maknae lines melody projects. It's all so good. Once is blessed by all the talent ot9 has. The best group in all of music, not just kpop.
Tzuyu's mindset ever since SIXTEEN was to continuously grow and improve her talents (singing, dancing, etc). She herself said during SIXTEEN that rather than being known or popular because of her visuals, she wants to be known more for her talents, and the hard work she constantly puts into improving every single comeback proves this. This is why I believe she truly deserves this solo debut. 👍
Thanks for this. I also had a feeling after she showed herself in the studio saying she is preparing a surprise for Onces. Some thought it could be a Melody Project, but seeing Tzuyu more involved vocally in their recent MVs, had me thinking it was a solo. Supporting this wonderful human in her Solo.
Appreciate your in-depth analysis. I like what you said. FYI. Tzuyu also covered another english song titled "Christmas without you" by Avex and one korean song "Zero". Borh songs were covered by Tzuyu perfectly.
Wow I totally forgot about her part in Talk That Talk. That low register surprised me so much when I first heard it. I swear there was another song of theirs where they had her do a lower register, but I can’t find it HAHAHA
