Thank you so fucking much! I spent hours researching and troubleshooting because my switch lite wouldn't connect to the internet at all. I followed these steps with very low expectations, ready to give up (this was my last try) and voila! I still can't believe it worked :'D
Thank you! i needed this bc my father kicked alot of devices from our main internet so i changed the IP so i have internet again
My problem is that OpenDNS has a 2 digit IP part for their DNS IP. The Switch adds a 0 before it, and screws up DNS resolution.

Just to help if anyone needs it, you probably can’t save because you have to set the DNS Settings.
How do I set up the DNS?
Didn't actually do anything. Also doesn't fix nat issues.
This also works if your parents have an app that can block you ip address from accessing the internet

For me the save button is non clickable. I think it’s because I don’t have my DNS setup. What do I need to put in for that?

MAC addresses are unique to a system and provided by the manufacturer. Theres no way to change it.

I do have IPv6 on via my service provider and I can use that on Xbox One X.
But how I can use IPv6 on Switch?
Also the save button is grayed and I don't know how to set up a DNS and I'm worried that it would duck things up.

And you can check open the windowOS cmd, and enter ipconfig

@@Ariiio120 i changed to my old adsl modem from early 90s, via the phone jack with that ringing connection sound, works wonders now! i have A+ NAT now! WOW! it so fast i start 10 seconds before others in mario kart , can recommend

It might be your internet. I'm out in Korea, before I had NAT type B on Switch and PS4, then my landlord changed out all the routers in the network and suddenly I went to NAT Type C for Switch and PS4 and I haven't been able to connect with friends ever since.

those tutorial seem to work only for people who have nat B and want to switch to nat A, i have nat D and i have tried many times but didn't change anything at all sometimes i even got nat F
