Watching in 2018 and I still can’t believe they finally won it all. That team was a pleasure to watch. I’m so happy for all of my fellow loyal Cubs fans. Many waited for longer than I did. Never gets old...i can't imagine being older than 60 and waiting for that...This moment!! My story I've told 100 times...i don't own a tv. I normally listen to the game. But on game 7 I wanted to see...more importantly hear other Cub fans reactions. But I was broke and didnt want to go to a bar broke....but I checked my account to see if I had at least $20....not $20....$200!! To this day have no idea where that $200 came from. I bought drinks, hugged, high fives every cub fan in that bar! Top 3 days of my life...number 2 would have been at Wrigley.
I brought a bottle of champagne to the bar that night (which I would normally never do due to superstition). I pretty much spent a month straight with cubs fans at this point -- my wife wasn't super excited about that part. But she came along and I knew I was going to need that bottle at the end of the night. Win or lose. That night I sprayed it in the streets surrounded by fans while far from Illinois. Moments like this are what life is about. I am ecstatic that you got to make a memory for life. Thank you for sharing.

I sat on the couch watching game 7, freaking out more than once, my wife telling the kids to "just leave dad alone for now. Trust me, just listen to him and you'll know what happens." Oh baby, was that true. The neighbors 3 blocks away heard me after Bryant threw to Rizzo for that last out. I sat there for ten minutes just staring at the wall with more than a single tear coming from my eyes. Simply amazing for me.
I live in Tennessee... been watching the Cubs on Tv since the push button cable box days. I cried like a baby the night they won the series... Nothing in this life can take that moment away from me or my friends who are Cubs fans... but most importantly... nothing can ever take it away from the Team or the City. Go Cubs... now and forever!

I live in the Bay Area and I was at both those SF games. That year cannot be explained for me. I’ve watched baseball all my life and while there have been special Cubs teams in the past like that 2003 team. That team just had IT. They had talent no doubt but they were so tight with each other. The WS team was just like that, but even more talented. A group of tight ball players, you can just feel how tight a group they were jumping through the TV. Incredible.
I remember in 3rd grade our teacher would pull up live scores of the games from her phone if we completed our worksheets and homework. The day after the cubs won, our school bell ended up being “Go cubs Go!” That was the best year of school ever!
