Tomato paste tip - Use the can opener on both ends of the can and then you can push down on one of the lids and will push it straight through the can. And you'll get every single bit upset tomato paste out..
Soup looks good, that's basically how I make my lentil soup. Only other things I add is about 1/2 tbsp of chili garlic sauce (Chinese condiment), that's if you like a little added spice and I add a chopped sweet potato or regular potato if I don't have one. To me the chili garlic sauce adds another layer to the soup. Anyway, enjoyed the video!

How do you keep Miss Ruby cool during the summer when you have to leave her to shop, etc. I’m asking because I’m from Kentucky and leaving an animal in a car is dangerous. I’m assuming that the weather in the Pacific Northwest is a little more hospitable compared to where I live. I was just curious as to how you handle the summer heat. Loving your channel! Rowan the van is really so awesome and cozy! Be careful with a bungee, I might op for Velcro type rope. I had a customer at my scuba shop who lost an eye when a bungee cord that was new, snapped. I hate bungee cords for that reason. Still watching, see you used rope instead! Love to you and the Rubes! Be safe ❤️

idea for the pans that are rattling, put up just some cuphooks or command hooks there to hang the pans on and use the S hooks to hang kitchen towels and pot holders etc there. to secure the pans hung on a nail or cup hook, string a bungee across the middle of the pan and other things and staple gun in between so it's like UUU (best i can demo with text) so stretch the bungee horizontal from one end to the other, put it at the middle of the pan and high enough that it can hold the other stuff down against that wall. to make it not rock left and right the staple gun holding down the bungee just over each item will do the trick. or put in some hanging pockets for the pan, the measuring cup and such. you could make one with just some folded over felt and hot glue or even staples. they sell those poster hangers with a top and bottom that you could attach to give it some strength at top and bottom of a folded up pan holder pocket unit or you could fold it over toward back and fish a wall mounted little mini curtain rod type of thing there. something like heavy felt that you could secure top and bottom to the wall would make it not rattle as much and if it's secured to the wall and the pocket is the width of the objects, it can't then rattle..you could even get old jeans pants to make pockets but i think felt would do really well to hold the pans, like heavy felt or heavy padded fabric that doesn't stretch when used and reused or from weight of the cast iron. Maybe even an old quilt from a thrift store could be cut up to make this.
I broke my French press carafe as well, so I got a stainless steel French press -- love it! I also have a Lexan French press in the camping gear. For the noise of the cast iron pan, make or buy a "cozy" for it! Any kind of drawstring bag it fits into will work! Or you could just bungee it against the wall when you're on the road.
Everything is so pretty! Maybe a layer of felt can be applied to the portion of the wall that has the hanging/banging pots and pans? Something that coordinates with your decor and lets them still hang during transit! Keep up the great work!

Absolutely love your van build. So cozy and functional. I recently went to a vegan , gluten free, no sugar, no oil diet for health reasons when Drs just kept throwing more and more meds at me. I healed my gut, dropped 50 lbs and stopped 5 medications. I still have Lupus, but no more migraines, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or acid reflux. Stick with and you'll be amazed at the results. 😊😊
My suggestion is for Velcro under the water cooler and a bungee cord, and as for the pots how about hanging your pots from the ceiling using a metal attachment to the ceiling like we in a stick and bricks kitchen.
Your mini home looks great. I make lentil soup all the time. I have never added the spices you used but I’m going to try it next time. Basically I make it just like you do. Looks fantastic. I sometimes put it over ditalini pasta and Parmesan cheese.
I would have put 2 brackets in front of the water bottle, kind of like those pieces of wood you can twist up or down so you can easily move the bottle to fill it

I order all my drinks with light or less ice. Otherwise they fill up your cup with ice and then pour in about 1/3 of the cup with your drink. That's why your tea is weak. You have a cup of ice with a splash of tea.

I sleep on a pair of Cool Bed III to keep myself cool in bed. After 4 hours I exchange them by sliding them. No leaks yet. Silly dogs avoid them!
They make extra strong Velcro that you can adhere your cast-iron pots and pans too, and they won’t budge
put cast iron in some kind of towel bag so it wont clang
Just hang an oven mitt over the spoons in the middle so the skillet, etc. won't make noise when you are driving

If you are driving you could also use a rope for the pan and other stuff you hang up. The stuff shouldn't spin so much while driving.

You could hang a dish towel between the pans to dampen the noise!
One way to quiet the pan noise is to take one of your towels and use safety pins to "wrap" the towel around the pan.

Maybe put little rubber feet on the water jug it might help to stable it😊
Maybe place a rubber shelf liner under the water jug to keep it from sliding, it may keep it from putting stress on the rope/bungee.

I use a square of that thin squishy shelf liner stuff under objects to keep them from shifting. Works like a charm!
