A simple reason for not wanting so much social time: Being around stupid people is frustrating, often infuriating, and too much of it can make a person misanthropic.
I'm 71, and though I've always loved people, I'm finding fewer and fewer people I can stand. They always seem to come up with crackpot ideas or show no real appreciation for others. And their stupidity in the long run finds ways to either hate me or betray me. It takes a lot of brains to understand true frienship. They wind up being faithful to money instead of sincerity, influence instead of morality.
I try to be kind to others, and value them for who they are. I believe that a person doesn’t have to be a genius, things like loyalty, honesty, sense of humor, work ethic, empathy, and several other traits are more important than being a genius. In fact many geniuses are real jerks! And can be insufferable narcissist! And while I truly believe this, stupid people can get on my nerves in short order! I know better than to argue with them, but after a short time I feel the need to make distance between myself and them. I guess being a genius or a low IQ individual doesn’t mean you’re virtuous or an inconsiderate slob. Neither group is inherently better than the other. However, In this day and time it’s hard to find anyone to share a stimulating conversation with. There is much to be gleaned from talking to yourself.
I have a high IQ. I was urged to try out a club of other "high IQ" people when I went to college. Some of them students. Many of them graduated and in careers. Almost all of them single. I found that they were all insufferable narcissists. They were the single most miserable people I've ever interacted with in my life. It was as if the only thing any of them had going for them was their intelligence and it has to be defended amongst themselves at all costs. I eventually learned college wasn't for me. I think a lot of it was driven by the fear I would become one of them. I dropped out and worked a blue collar job with some, let's just say, less intelligent people. But they were authentic. They didn't loathe the world. They didn't blame everyone else for their shortcomings. They didn't think they were better than everyone else. And they were actually fun to be around. What do they say about "it everyone you meet is an asshole?" I wonder if the same goes for someone who keeps running into stupid people. Quit being a martyr. Nobody cares.
This is the kind of video that makes you pause and rethink people you thought you had figured out… real intelligence is quiet, and that’s what makes it powerful.
Back in school before the Internet and before home computers one teacher told us that intelligence is not knowing the answer but knowing how to find the answer.
@a9ball1 back then, intelligence was knowing how to use a library to find answers. Smart kids went to the library, and dumb ones to the smoking lounge. The Internet had the potential to be the library, but in corporate hands has become the smoking lounge.
A wise old man once told me in the mirror " Some believe what they want to believe, others believe what they are told to believe, but the wise believe what they see before them". I argued that what we see may not be reality, it could be just our own perception, Then I realised I had smoked way to much weed and was talking with my own reflection...
Bertrand Russell (1933): The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.
Yes, Russell wrote that, in a series of essays published between 1931 - 35 in a US publication. However, W B Yeats wrote (in "The Second Coming " ) "The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity." A similar sentiment, is it not? And written in 1920... I've taken it out of context, of course, the whole poem needs to be read...
@bobcostas9716 "I would add perhaps that intelligence is amoral" That is something I learned in the seventies. Drinking in an uncustomarily posh place in a major city... A couple of barristers came in, ( not wearing, but carrying, ) wigs and gowns... I was alone, bored, but did eavesdrop on their conversation. They'd been adversaries in some case, locally, and were discussing the proceedings as if they'd been playing a chess game... "When you said XXX, I thought you'd got me, but!..." I listened to a blow by blow account of how things had gone... (They were quite loud) The rights and wrongs (morality) of the case itself were immaterial, but the way they played, and winning were tremendously important... The accused? Collateral damage, maybe...
Commenting on RUclips is like that old saying, "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results", because you just end up arguing with yourself in the end...
I often wake at 3 am with a profound thought or a good idea. I can write a quick note to ensure later recall when it's needed. Seldom has it been wrong.
@snapdragon60 being able to say “I don’t know” is a reflection of intelligence but also of humility. Something that nobody in this comment section has including yourself.
The "I don't know'" came up the other day. I'm a postie (mailman to the US folk) and a customer said to me "The weather didn't turn out too bad for you. What did it get to, 31 (C)? I replied "I don't know, they're numbers, I only deal in letters"
Thinking you're brilliant proves you are an idiot... understanding people who are different is the ultimate puzzle... e.g. explain "maga" people voting against their own best interests.
A brilliant brain often comes with an ultra-sensitive nervous system. They don't just process logic; they 'absorb' sound, light, and emotions at a much higher intensity. High IQ is like driving a supercar in a narrow alley. Does anyone else feel like intelligence is more of a burden than a gift?
High IQ is often like speaking a language that very few people understand. It’s not arrogance; it’s the loneliness of seeing patterns and risks 10 steps ahead while everyone else is struggling with step one. Has anyone here ever felt the need to 'mask' their intelligence just to fit in
Me. I try to keep myself humble by admitting i dont know everything, but constantly day in and day out I find myself going: "Really, you cant figure that out?" "Todayyyyyy scooter" "Look at this rocket scientist".
I call it Cassandra syndrome. I see the risks in a course of action, give warning, see the risks becoming near certainties, give warning, go through the catastrophe filled with rage at the talking chimps that let it happen.
Quiet, loners, enjoy figuring out things, napping in the afternoon, very curious and your mind never stops thinking, talk to yourself and run problems through your head to come up with solutions to those problems
One drawback to thinking constantly is that sometimes it leads to fabricating memories. And then believing those memories. I made that up during a day dream.
You forgot procrastinating, ability to hyperfocus, overthinking (very paralyzing btw), extremely self critical, perfectionist and easily bored with mundane tasks and conversations.
Extremely self-critical for sure. Hyperfocus when involved with the topic. Perfectionist when the activity/belief is important. I'm not convinced the others are accurate.
I fit all of these elements. I found my true calling in life but it took decades to be totally certain. I tried everything I could think of to find where I fit in and what to do to be like everyone else. I found I’m much better as myself and there’s nothing wrong with me as I am. This is the hardest thing to come to terms with as many will belittle you or make you feel alone and like you’re garbage. That’s their jealousy talking. They may see in you what you can’t see and it makes them angry and feel inferior. Never underestimate your abilities. Never give up on yourself. Do this and you will never lose because you are always yourself and that’s what god made you to be. ❤
Analysis paralysis is the inability to make a decision due to overthinking, researching too much, or fearing a wrong choice, resulting in inaction or missed deadlines. I hate when that happens...
When I’m looking to buy an relatively expensive item I research and research and research. The time I had saved money to buy an expensive guitar, I had two models in mind and spent over a year in different stores trying everyone I could get my hands on. When looking for a professional level camera: Read articles, joined forums, went to different stores. Rifle for long range target shooting: Same process as the camera. Don’t even get me started on buying a new car.🤣
Why do people have to make fun of me talking to myself, it’s embarrassing. Oh, if your brain won’t shut off late at night try eating a couple Tbs of grass fed butter just let it melt in your mouth it works for me.
Hi…I won’t pretend I didn’t notice you. I’m not even sure if I should be asking this, but are you still single? Your profile stood out more than I expected. I usually don’t message first, so I’ll leave it here-if you’re curious, you’ll reply… if not, I’ll take the hint.
Most of this video is spot on. Regarding other signs of intelligence not mentioned in the vid, I'm only a perfectionist when I have to spend money buying something expensive. I'm not self-critical, although I deeply recognize my own faults, and did so at a very early age. I just don't beat myself up for them. And I'm never bored, unless I'm watching an Adam Sandler movie or the sport of golf. I can always find something to do, to read, to listen to. Documentaries are my favorite form of shows. I'm 68 years old and I love learning, even to this day. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks.

Very weird. I was wondering the same thing. Sounded like a different person... pretending to be the same person. Spliced in! We are all looking for the explanation of this pattern; you know what that means...
@mosquitobight or... it's a way to get everybody commenting, which feeds the algorithm, which means money for them. We gotta stop rising to the bait. Click-bait 2.0 = "comment-bait".
I watched this video with skepticism, expecting it to be another cartoon comment. Imagine my surprise when every one of those ten things described me perfectly! I learned early the value of silence if you want to have any friends. I didn't like being referred to as a know it all.

Bro forgot 11 where the deep depression sets in because no one around you understands what you're thinking or doing, and all your attempts to come down to their level make you seem even weirder
I don't know about deep depression, but I'm a Mensan and find so many interesting things I've noticed and no one to share such with because they would just not understand it. I used to have a cat and she loved to hear my revelations. She would close her eyes and listen to me for hours.
Im just tired. I dont really care at this point whether people understand me or not. And I lnow some people talk trash about me, but dont care about that either. My life philosophy right now is You do you, and Ill encourage you as long as it isn't harmful to you, me, or anyone else. I know Im weird, always a square peg forever trying to fit into a round hole. Who cares? I think, as a whole, the human race has a lot more important things to worry about. Don't exscuse bad behavior. Be civil to everyone. Thats really hard to do.
According to this video i have a very high IQ. Yet while growing up i did poor in school and was told by parents and grandparents i was dumb. I joined the Army at 18, made it to Sgt/E-5 within 3 years. Got injured in the line of duty and received a medical discharge. Pursued other employment got injured more. Kept pushing myself to support my family. Now i own a half million dollar house and two vehicles, making more money than i spend. Could a dumb person accomplish this? Probably not. However, if i had such a high IQ i would have been able to accomplish this without destroying my body and mind for life. Intelligence is subjective, IQ is a construct, Life is fluid.
..... The VAST majority (kinda literally how it works 😉) of people who own a" half Million dollar house and two vehicles" are not of high IQ. They are of exactly average IQ. 👍🏻
I know plenty of people who are of average IQ but have been successful in businesses they've started. Iq has absolutely nothing with success. In fact it's often a handicap. So called intelligent people usually work for corporations earning a good salary but not spectacular. Also, the covid era convinced me that intelligent people are easily brainwashed and propagandised. They often seem to lack critical thinking abilities whilst people on low skill, low paid jobs are much more awake. Also, often what constitutes an intelligent person is someone who's good at one thing. They are often some of the dumbest people on the planet.
I've noticed smart people don't realize they're smart because they notice every time they're wrong and simultaneously never find anything they've done particularly challenging, so they take their life to be "easy" where a regular person constantly experiences "achievement" completing everyday tasks. So they never get the "oh I solved that!" feeling unless they specifically seek problems.
At 52 I had an ayahuasca journey and it definitely made me less worried about finding deep meaning. I’m much happier just enjoying this beautiful world and its simplicities.
Changing your mind is the biggest telling sign actually, because it denotes the flexibility of the mind, growth and ability to process new information, not the rigid mind that refuses growth.
Hi…I won’t pretend I didn’t notice you. I’m not even sure if I should be asking this, but are you still single? Your profile stood out more than I expected. I usually don’t message first, so I’ll leave it here-if you’re curious, you’ll reply… if not, I’ll take the hint.
I do the change my mind" argument process all the time. I'm not arguing that my view is right. I'm pushing for someone to show me where I am wrong because I often do not like what I find after enough looking at the details.
I have three digits to my IQ, which puts me in the smarter half. I socialize with a bunch of people I consider intelligent, probably more so than me, and one thing we have in common is we rarely, if ever, get bored. There's always something to think about, talk about, and do.
If having three digits means having an iq not much higher than 100 it really is a bit of a reach to say that puts you in the smarter half rather than that puts me in the average half.
This really describes an Aquarius nearly perfectly. Often referred to as being alien and very intelligent. My IQ is above average and I do not like to say it because I don't want to be labeled as a show off so I very often choose to remain silent than engage. I never get bored because my brain and imagination keeps me entertained. I definitely observe. I'd rather spend a weekend at home alone than going out and socializing. And why did you change your accent at the end? It felt intentional to see if we were paying attention.
These traits fit me pretty well but I can add two things particular to myself. 1) When I think I've found a new hobby it turns out I just like to buy things and learn all about it, then don't make the time to indulge tools and toys still in their packages. 2) Decision paralysis and/or overthinking many options or possibilities. No chess, checkers, cards, as thought spins out of control.
I honestly don't know how accurate this list is, but I do fit every one on it. I've always been treated as odd, different, awkward, irritating, difficult to deal with, and people keep me at arms length; I keep me at arms length...! 😂 I was always made to feel & treated as stupid, I was taken advantage of. It wasn't until I had a breakdown around 6 years ago that I started to understand and learn that it was others that were at fault and to blame, and not me...! I don't know the correlation between this list and autism, but I've learned that I am on the spectrum (Asperger's). I only wish I'd learned all this 50 years ago when my life started to become increasingly more difficult. Understand and learning is an amazing weapon...! 🤔😊👍
I am 58 and had a mind breakdown myself around 51 and diagnosed with severe A.D.D. at 52. Nothing really changed but now I accept who I am. Am I really the strange one that doesn't care to follow the herd? Or am I actually seeing things for what they really are. We are all here in our strange ways for a reason. We break the molds and do things different to maybe move our species forward. Following society and its rules will leave you vulnerable. If we could all unite we might be able to fix a very broken system.
That's been my experience. It can be very isolating: hard to relate to others, and others can't relate to you. I read a lot to "know that I am not alone."
I tested out with an IQ of 168 and was invited to join the Epimetheus Society (top 1% tested) and MENSA (top 2% tested). I opted to join Mensa as it had a higher recognition value and I believed it would look good on my resume. I can't say that it helped. One interviewer even told me he considered it a negative. I've spent my life trying to pretend I'm not smart. Other people don't tend to like you if you seem to threaten them with being smarter than they are. I learned to stay silent and just go about doing things I think best. Many times against the consensus of 'the group'. "The Group' doesn't take that well. So I don't fit in. I am a loner and I love my time to myself. I do sleep a lot and I stay up late at night. I seem to get more done at night. I constantly have to make excuses for my upside down circadian rhythms, like I'm doing it on purpose. I get the same 8 hours as everyone else, just at different times. My sister-in-law used to call me 'Sleeping Beauty' when I was a child. Even bought me a t shirt. No, showing all these characteristics doesn't make me smart, the IQ score shows that. I'm not trying to boast as I did nothing to achieve this intelligence, I was born with it, but only to let you know there is an upside and a downside to everything. Watching this video makes me feel a little better about myself.
@nicholasschroeder3678 Man I felt your comment to my core. I turn 56 this month. I can't count the number of times in my life I've been ostracized from a group or a work project because there was not one other person in the group who understood my process or the intended concept. It can be demoralizing to your character in later years to be misunderstood because of intelligence. I so miss the accelerated learning programs in school where we were placed with people operating on similar frequencies. I felt so much connection with all of them. Walking into the class I knew I was among my people and immediately felt at home. I also felt free to chime in to add insight without the trepidation of being targeted or shamed for doing so. I haven't felt that free in 30 years.
I say the same thing. I think that anyone who has been tested frequently realizes that. After the novelty wears off, it gets progressively harder to muster the same level of enthusiasm for the test, and that has a big effect on the result.
@Speed-Daemon-123 - I had an IQ test as a teen (they thought I was mentally deficient), came out 130s-140s. So what? Do I love to learn? Do I try to leave things better than I found them? Am I a good husband & father, friend & neighbour? Sadly, a lot of that IQ stuff is connected with eugenics, master race, racial hygiene nonsense. 🤷♂️
@BinkyTheElf1 true, that's the other side of such testing--the heavy bias toward a favored in-group and its culture. That has nothing to do with intelligence either.
I am glad I don't seek out other people and stay removed from other people as it gives me time to think, reading and try looking at other points of views, I am not clever but like taking thing apart to see the workings and any improvements that can be made
Number 11): thinking in 3d, picturing ideas. Designing fairly complex projects in their minds without having to put pen to paper. 12) Highly developed situational awareness, reading a room within split seconds.
Is THAT why my Workshop has "blue walls" with all the swearing I do when I come across some idiots dumbass product design that I have to re-engineer to fix ? Too many products with GTF design features (GTF = Guaranteed To Fail)
We don't let people into our private circle who don't add anything meaningful. People who only take energy, only talk about the banal and predictable or people who have something mean and negative about them, we keep our distance from them or cut ties. We are usually quite polite to most people. But we see who people really are and the energies they radiate from miles away. But when we do meet individuals with a beautiful, intelligent and exciting personality or it may be enough with an honest goodness and unsophisticated kind aura about them, we see these as rare diamonds. They are our friends and we are very loyal to them.
@brennymcphees7557 His name is my name too, whenever we got out, the peedrinkers shout "His pee is mixed with mine too" We Really Wanna Winkle and drink the tinckle too!
I came to ask that same question. I listened a second time to confirm. YEP! I can’t understand why they did that. Maybe it was just a glitch in the matrix… 🤷🏽♀️😹
@Windibird Don't forget: 'no more x, no more y'. Promises but they break them within a few hours. Also mine always tells me: "YOU WIN". um, win what? I won ai blowing smoke up ma bum? :P
My coworker greets me with "Whatcha know Susan?" Me: "Less and less everyday". Now that i am old, i constantly wish that i had learned more about everything when i had a younger and sharper brain.
I wish I could remember everything I've ever looked up (dictionary, encyclopedia, reference book, google, etc). However, I have resigned myself to deciding that, if I've had to look something up repeatedly, then apparently I don't really care about...otherwise, I would remember it! I CANNOT remember the definition of the word 'teleology' and its iterations...I had a professor who was fond of using it, and I had to look it up every time...as I just did again now!...
It's not just that I forgotten alot, which I have at 67. It's when you continue to learn you realize how much more there is to learn, how much more you don't know.
@BKNeifert Because they are not looking for validation, and/or not thinking about their IQ. However, if the video appears randomly they may be curious enough to take a look.
@iclaudius2534 Why? What if people have made them feel stupid their whole lives, despite actually being really intelligent? It's just a different kind of intelligence?
@BKNeifert I think the point is that anyone with a very high IQ would not be concerned with IQ as a subject particularly, therefore would not go looking for an AI video on it.
Realistically, they won't process information like other people, so regardless of these being right or wrong, very high IQ will make them weird and analysing everything too much, or zone out/ignore most stimulus (they learn to do it) and be ultra focused (usually only these extremes , not in the middle)
Solitude, constant curiosity, talking to themselves, saying I don't know, overthinking small things, humor, can change their mind, late night thinking, observing more than speaking, constant search for meaning.
I got tired of dodging rules and control from other people including employers and family. At 77 I have lived alone for 3 years and really enjoy it. There is so much info available online that any project I undertake can be primed with tutorials, what a time to be alive.
The point about 'talking to yourself' is so spot on. I’ve always felt a bit self-conscious doing it, but it really does help with organizing complex thoughts. It’s refreshing to see these behaviors framed as cognitive processing rather than just being 'weird' or 'antisocial.' Great breakdown!
Yup- cannot stand Babble. Socializing is exhausting. I laugh a lot at my own jokes- when I am by myself. The late night thing is so True- I relax as soon as it gets dark too. I have a Genius level IQ. Less than 200.
Hi, are you still single? Your profile really caught my attention and made me want to know more about you. I don’t know if you’re into online dating, but I’d like to try. I can’t tell yet if you’re a good idea… or a mistake I’m willing to make.
1 spending a lot of time alone
2 constant curiosity
3 talking to themselves
4 saying "I don't know"
5 Overthinking small things
6 Strong sense of humour
7 Change their mind
8 Late night thinking
9 Observing more than speaking
10 Searching for meaning
11 looking through the comments for a summary.
So, the same thing all the others say
#11…ya got me! 😂
Well played, sir. Well played.
😂
@JessicaWilliams-w8q The others often mention being messy.

Quit being a martyr. Nobody cares.
@WOJTEK_WAR_BEARbullsh-t. Stupid people are even faker than you. Or rather, you are them. "They're more authentic" is a poseur's sophistry.
I've been accused of being a grumpy old man, assuming I have a high IQ. LOL
*Funny how people with self-awareness are usually the ones doubting themselves the most*
This is so true
This is indian clickbait. Go popo inna street to be like Einstein.
The value of silence is priceless.
Especially tactical silence.
there is nowhere to go, nothing to do, and nobody you have to be
...
Silence Is Power!
YES TRUE
We talk to ourselves because you have to have an intelligent conversation with someone.
just dont do it under influence of drugs and alcohol.
most dont realize that they are talking to substances .
That's what I'm always telling myself.
The only way to discuss with a person who is exactly on your level.
Some of my best conversations are with myself 😂😂
laughed out loud 😆
I don't have a problem with talking to myself,
It's the arguments I don't like!!!
Thinking out loud is what it is.
People see me talking to myself all the time but they don't see my friend peter there
Peter makes an excellent cup of tea, their loss.
He was my imaginary friend for years. Glad he found you
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Is Peter a 7 foot tall white rabbit?
You talk to your cock?
Damn.
I have all these habits and I’m a total idiot.
Ure response is not stupidity LOL
they often say There is a thin line between genius and idiot.
You are in good company
I appreciate your honesty.🤓
I Cross that line a lot 1foot in 1 foot out. And turn it all Around Maybe I’m just an idiot
This is the kind of video that makes you pause and rethink people you thought you had figured out… real intelligence is quiet, and that’s what makes it powerful.
Chat GPT had to decide for several people now, what and who they are. How they are feeling..lol . That should be what this video is about
So glad to hear that muttering to myself and overthinking is a sign of intelligence and not that I’m nuts!😄
😂😂😂😜🎯
You're only nuts when you answer yourself 😂.
the 2 go hand in hand...
Do this more and more as I get older, my dad this as well. I’m concerned it’s not caused by intelligence but cognitive decline.
@repr0bate1how about if I disagree with myself?
Intelligence has never been about what you know. It’s about the ability to learn and problem solving.
Yes..nobody knows that
No doubt you wrote that to sound clever, but ignorant that one leads to the other. Only when the potential is realized does it count as something.
@Speed-Daemon-123not at, just agreeing.
A wise old man once told me in the mirror "
Some believe what they want to believe,
others believe what they are told to believe,
but the wise believe what they see before them".
I argued that what we see may not be reality, it could be just our own perception,
Then I realised I had smoked way to much weed and was talking with my own reflection...
That sounds just about the right amount to me bro 🥰
Bertrand Russell (1933): The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.
I would add perhaps that intelligence is amoral. It seeks solutions, not justifications for those solutions. Not immoral, but ignorant of morality.
Good ole Russell
Yes, Russell wrote that, in a series of essays published between 1931 - 35 in a US publication. However, W B Yeats wrote (in "The Second Coming " ) "The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity." A similar sentiment, is it not? And written in 1920... I've taken it out of context, of course, the whole poem needs to be read...
I'm doubting your reply. So I must be smart?
@bobcostas9716 "I would add perhaps that intelligence is amoral"
That is something I learned in the seventies.
(They were quite loud)
The rights and wrongs (morality) of the case itself were immaterial, but the way they played, and winning were tremendously important... The accused? Collateral damage, maybe...
I've replaced taking to myself with commenting on RUclips and Facebook. Oh. That's still talking to myself..
I do that a lot and just recently realized that it's quite pointless.
Did someone say something? Hello? Hello? Is there someone there? I'm sure I heard a voice in the darkness! 😮
Commenting on RUclips is like that old saying, "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results", because you
just end up arguing with yourself in the end...
I also.
Thank you
I will stop
(after this)
Nobody reads those comments anyway. 😂
The night thing is linked to some of the others such as solitude. My best thinking is at night when everything is quiet and I’m alert.
I just clicked to stroke my ego via the Dunning Kruger effect.
Underrated comment
LOL 😆😂- a comment worth me using emojis on youtube for the first time.
I doubt it.
Ditto 😂
🤭
The "I don't know'" came up the other day. I'm a postie (mailman to the US folk) and a customer said to me "The weather didn't turn out too bad for you. What did it get to, 31 (C)? I replied "I don't know, they're numbers, I only deal in letters"
Very funny!
Did the customer get it? The joke, that is, I'm assuming you gave him the letters.
See ! A great sense of humor !
Brilliant!! Cheers! @daveshaw756
That was a good one!
4:23 00:30am is not late night, its just the first 30 min. 😜
The curse of being brilliant is your constantly surrounded by idiots.
More then eva!
*you're. 😉
I've had several long conversations with AI trying to suss out just how dumb "100 IQ" is. 🤣
@aXionXero 100 IQ is always average, that's part of how IQ works the scale is shifted as the whole of society gets smarter.
Thinking you're brilliant proves you are an idiot... understanding people who are different is the ultimate puzzle... e.g. explain "maga" people voting against their own best interests.
@Theendisnow7*Than
I'd like to know why the narrator changed from American to British at 5:55 of this video.
AI shift change.
Congratulations! You passed...you're intelligent!
This ends at 5:55 and then
AST five seconds are British ~ AI glitched
I thought I was hearing things!
I don't watch this channel regularly. I've only seen a couple of videos. I had no idea the voice was AI until then. Quite good and convincing.
Has anyone here ever felt the need to 'mask' their intelligence just to fit in
Me. I try to keep myself humble by admitting i dont know everything, but constantly day in and day out I find myself going:
"Really, you cant figure that out?"
"Todayyyyyy scooter"
"Look at this rocket scientist".
I’ve done this but stopped as I got older because the older I got the wiser I got, and the harder it was to hide it!
Actually, I just get fired. Half of my employers were Wildly enthusiastic about me. The other half felt stupid around me. You cannot trust people.
I call it Cassandra syndrome. I see the risks in a course of action, give warning, see the risks becoming near certainties, give warning, go through the catastrophe filled with rage at the talking chimps that let it happen.
Yep.
I never mask it anymore though .
@jasmith1867 Very interesting how our memories work... And that nobody understands how our memories work.😅
@jasmith1867Not one time have I ever fabricated a memory. What would be the point ?
@BezoBozo-v7g You would remember if you fabricated a memory.
💯👍🇦🇺
It's weird how the video had an American accent and then suddenly, at the end, switched to an British English accent. I wonder why the AI did that?
Head injury. It's a thing.
You forgot procrastinating, ability to hyperfocus, overthinking (very paralyzing btw), extremely self critical, perfectionist and easily bored with mundane tasks and conversations.
Very true
what he said
Extremely self-critical for sure. Hyperfocus when involved with the topic. Perfectionist when the activity/belief is important. I'm not convinced the others are accurate.
so ADHS?
That's autism/ADHD bro
One habit of people with average IQ:
Watching videos to convince themselves that they're a high IQ.
Do you really think I am watching this because of its content? I am only here because my brain does metastudies on a detail you won't guess.
Why are you here then?
Slightly above average IQ people are obsessed with trying to prove that they are highly intelligent.
Intelligent people often doubt themselves.
I’m here because of the youtube algorithm
Ehhh. Researching is most of the fun. Doing is hard. 😁
Talking to myself allows me to examine all scenarios to a situation.
...except the scenario that actually turns out.
Why do people have to make fun of me talking to myself, it’s embarrassing. Oh, if your brain won’t shut off late at night try eating a couple Tbs of grass fed butter just let it melt in your mouth it works for me.
The real question with cats is are they your pet or are you theirs?
I do these. I know, though, that all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares.
Hi…I won’t pretend I didn’t notice you. I’m not even sure if I should be asking this, but are you still single? Your profile stood out more than I expected. I usually don’t message first, so I’ll leave it here-if you’re curious, you’ll reply… if not, I’ll take the hint.
You had me at sleeping in recliners.
Me,too.
Same.
That's... seriously a thing? Because I sleep in my electric recliner whenever my husband is at work.
Easy boy
@P.H.888 down boy
You can teach an older dog new tricks but he probably is no longer able to perform them. 😢
You referenced yourself 12 times in one short paragraph.
Documentaries are my favorite.....reality is stranger and more interesting than anything you could make up.
I agree! I say that when you stop educating yourself, you grow old. Being old is a state of mind, not a chronological number. Stay curious!
Self directed speech? In my day, talking to yourself was known as the first sign of madness 😂
Hi…I won’t pretend I didn’t notice you. I’m not even sure if I should be asking this, but are you still single? Your profile stood out more than I expected. I usually don’t message first, so I’ll leave it here-if you’re curious, you’ll reply… if not, I’ll take the hint.

I used to have a high IQ, but then youtube made me dumber, and duber, and dummer, and doink.
lol u stil. sound smart enough bro, don't worry😅
Nah,man;that was Facecrack that did all of that. At least w Yt,we have choices. It's the comments' sections that dumb us down, lol.
If YT can make you dumb, you were never smart in the first place.
well, at least you still have your sense of humor ;-)
6 Strong sense of humour ✓
My curiosity got the better of me when the narrator spontaneously became australian
Yeah what the fuck was that?
Very weird. I was wondering the same thing. Sounded like a different person... pretending to be the same person. Spliced in! We are all looking for the explanation of this pattern; you know what that means...
We're being tested?
@mosquitobight or... it's a way to get everybody commenting, which feeds the algorithm, which means money for them. We gotta stop rising to the bait. Click-bait 2.0 = "comment-bait".
@msdmsdxmaybe an ai glitch?
I watched this video with skepticism, expecting it to be another cartoon comment. Imagine my surprise when every one of those ten things described me perfectly! I learned early the value of silence if you want to have any friends. I didn't like being referred to as a know it all.

@WangBin-u2dNot available but thank you for the nice comment.
Find peace in solitude, instead of depending on "being accepted".
@EWalker-xo3cg Dude, just talk to AI. It listens forever and it is far more intelligent than anybody that I have ever found in real life. 😁👍🏻
I like how your accent changes to British in the last part.
Came here to comment this too; however, I'm pretty sure it's Australian.
More like an Australian accent.
Hahhhahahaha
I thought that was part of the iq test this video was secretly performing.
Trying to keep the smartest people awake to the end!
Can you come to my house for Thanksgiving and talk to my parents ???
These type of videos are like horoscopes. "Yeah that is totally me. I am a genius."
They play with peoples feelings so they think they are intelligent.
Not for everyone.....I didn't think that......and I don't think that.....I just know I am very different than most people and I love being alone.
@ChongChang-y9dmanipulation for views. You're special not just somebody who will work till they die and be forgotten lol
I embrace my company.. I can’t find a better companion…my sense of humor cracks me up..🤩
So do these comments.!!!!!
Great minds think alike!!😊
Your body has been trying to tell you the fundamental importance of being alive with a body.
From the thumbnail I was hoping for "Takes lots of naps "
at daytime ... 🤷
learning to say "I don't know" and acknowledging room for more learning
2:03 Oh that is hilarious. At that point when I heard that. I yelled out loud that’s me. And just couldn’t stop laughing.
Me 2
1.According to this AI top ten list!
I thought I was a little stupid but this says the opposite.😮
I've noticed smart people don't realize they're smart because they notice every time they're wrong and simultaneously never find anything they've done particularly challenging, so they take their life to be "easy" where a regular person constantly experiences "achievement" completing everyday tasks. So they never get the "oh I solved that!" feeling unless they specifically seek problems.
@SEBASTYNE I've noticed us people clicking these videos like to stroke our egos via the Dunning Kruger effect. That's using a good brains.
Look up duning kruger
Don't underestimate yourself
If you think you’re stupid, there’s a good chance you’re actually quite smart.
What I find odd about this series of videos, is how they suddenly switch to a British accent during the last sentence or two.
At 52 I had an ayahuasca journey and it definitely made me less worried about finding deep meaning. I’m much happier just enjoying this beautiful world and its simplicities.
Our Sacred Mother Earth rewards diversity among her children. Diversity of species and behavior regrew us from so many mass extinctions
OK, but that answer wasn't very simple.
Meditate. Achieve same thing.
You sure? 😂@elizabethcsicsery-ronay1633
That shit is poison, period.
Changing your mind is the biggest telling sign actually, because it denotes the flexibility of the mind, growth and ability to process new information, not the rigid mind that refuses growth.
Being wishy washy is not a sign of intelligence.
it doesn't matter how intelligent YOU are in your brain, whats matter is your heart intelligent
Yeah, kinda disappointing when I am still correct
Yes. Based.
I thank people when they correct me.
Us non geniuses call that being wishy washy.
@jasmith1867 How do you figure that?
I’ve been told ignorance is bliss. That just tickles me to death.
I do not think being easily bored is a sign of intelligence. There are wonders in thought for the most minute things.
it actually is a thing. lack of complexity, depth, meaningful drive of thoughts in what you’re doing, this leads straight to boredom
Easily board
I have three digits to my IQ, which puts me in the smarter half. I socialize with a bunch of people I consider intelligent, probably more so than me, and one thing we have in common is we rarely, if ever, get bored. There's always something to think about, talk about, and do.
i've never understood the concept of boredom
@mintysingularity Stop thinking about it. Maybe it'll come to you. 😉
If having three digits means having an iq not much higher than 100 it really is a bit of a reach to say that puts you in the smarter half rather than that puts me in the average half.
Try to be dumb and you’ll find this boredom.
@user-bz5yk1eo4e ruclips.net/video/WDUIX2-akuQ/video.html
Fear of sounding dumb has given me most of these traits.
Please tell me, because sadly I can't discern, that you're using the Zodiac ironically. And that you don't actually think that it's real. 😅
How did your accent change around 5:33?
Ikr 😅
It’s read by AI
@MuckoManYou're not strange, you're a normal you. 👍
Yep, the last person to open their pie hole and provide input/analysis/opinion to a discussion is usually going to be the smartest of that group.
wow 14 hrs aftr yur comment mine says "yep" i scroll dwn your's is #7 below mine lol
The strongest sign: someone who is able to admit they are wrong. Only highly intelligent people can admit their mistakes and change for the better.
4:03 Not antisocial. You mean asocial. Two different things.
@nicholasschroeder3678
Man I felt your comment to my core.
Indeed. Particularly for high functional autists and Sigma types.
O aprendes a ser un mediocre para no estar lidiando con bobos todo el tiempo. Te desconectas.
Sounds like inner dialogue also
This sounds like me, however, i fail at the standard i.q tests.
"What's your IQ?"
"I don't know, I failed the test." 😂
My father was in the 200s IQ. He used to say “IQ tests definitely prove you’re good at IQ tests.”
That has nothing to do with intelligence either.
pretty sure it only goes to 200, doesn't it?
@refuse2Btools - If only there was a way to look that up somehow. 😉
And now everybody in the comments is ofcourse “highly intelligent” 😂😂😂
This video resonates extremely deeply with myself, yet I've never considered myself with a very high IQ, 🤷🏾♂️
I swear out loud when I work on my car, does that count ?
Is THAT why my Workshop has "blue walls" with all the swearing I do when I come across some idiots dumbass product design that I have to re-engineer to fix ? Too many products with GTF design features (GTF = Guaranteed To Fail)
the fact that you work on your car shows you are above average IQ, assuming the car still works after.
Do you swear in a non native language?
Me too!
Finally, a video that correctly describes my intellect. But I am curious about the subtle change in your accent starting at 5:41.
Your accent suddenly turning British if you're an American is also a sign of high IQ.
@peregrino9154 Wrong abbreviation: It's not "IQ", but "AI".
Thats his cousin, he jumped in to finish it off
I would not say it was "subtle"! It was jarring.
“At its core intelligence is really about curiosity” what a great sentence!
I definitely relate to all these but I don’t think I’m that smart. I am a logical thinker.
That's something only 10 percent of people can even do. Fewer still are willing to do it, as they don't like the results.
Sorry to break it to you, chum - you're probably pretty smart. 😉
100% true. Because we are interested in everything, including people, we are able to choose the best friends.
We are special. We are we. We aren't them. We're the main characters. This video was obviously about we.
@shamusbob7969 Wee Willie Winkie runs through the town.
@brennymcphees7557 His name is my name too, whenever we got out, the peedrinkers shout "His pee is mixed with mine too" We Really Wanna Winkle and drink the tinckle too!
Who is we?
"Spot on! As an animator, I love visualizing these psychological traits. It makes understanding the mind so much easier! 🧠🎨"
I'm about average IQ but I do all these things
I’m a dumbass and do all these things
It’s 100% true. I’m really smart, but I act weird sometimes, so people think I’m dumb - even though I’m smarter than all of them
You bear witness of yourself...
Maybe you are dumb though?
Same. Same. I call people memorisers. I can tell by their thought processes that they just memorised everything to pass the exams and get a job.
did the accent change near the end?
I came to ask that same question. I listened a second time to confirm. YEP! I can’t understand why they did that. Maybe it was just a glitch in the matrix… 🤷🏽♀️😹
@Angel-fo3xyIntelligent people notice change of accents mid-speeech
Oh so it wasn't just me that noticed that?
"I don't know."
(Yes, it did, actually.😄)
@Angel-fo3xyGlitch in the AI used to make this video.
People with high IQ's like to take naps in the afternoon
Great, innit!
Wow then I to have very high intelligence!
Cats with high IQ like to take naps all day long. 😴
so do stoners
Naps in the afternoon are bad for you and should be avoided. Better to get up early
I talk to myself sometimes. You have to have an intelligent conversation with someone! 😄
"Anti social" is criminal; "Asocial" is choosing to be alone.
0:35, that's the irritating cadence of AI. Make it stop please. "Not because x, but because y". Siren song of AI. ugh. "Not just x, but y".
Lol. Your comment gave me a chuckle about ai cadence
This has been bothering me for so long! Why are they all like that??
@Windibird Don't forget: 'no more x, no more y'. Promises but they break them within a few hours. Also mine always tells me: "YOU WIN". um, win what? I won ai blowing smoke up ma bum? :P
@Piano218-zzz Was that the prize or the competition? 😁
Yeah get out of here clanker
People think I’m crazy when I talk to myself about what I’m doing. I know I’m not, but it’s nice to know that I’m not the only one. 😊
My coworker greets me with "Whatcha know Susan?" Me: "Less and less everyday". Now that i am old, i constantly wish that i had learned more about everything when i had a younger and sharper brain.
I felt your comment.
You forgot add, they don’t look for videos of what high IQ people look like.
Why?
@Paul: or construct a proper sentence? 🤔
Why is RUclips suddenly stroking brains to convince them alone is good, you are brilliant the way you are, and you are wise in your avoidance .
I have a high iq and tend to fart a lot 😂
Intestinally Questionable?
Welcome to the club, you are indeed one of the chosen.
I love content that makes you reflect. That's exactly what I do on my channel.
I totally have all these habits. I suck at relationships and social events.
I was hoping for a dopamine boost but alas these habits dodge me like the rain does the desert
The way you just described that seems very intelligent 🤯
When observed talking to herself, my grandmother would say: “I’m keeping good company!”
1,3,4,6, & 11. I must be a bloody genius!!
I always thought I was just weird for overthinking everything. This made me feel understood.
