There's a say in my country (Argentina) that goes: "Who covers too much, squeezes too little". It's about trying to do too much and being inefficient at a lot of things
I like that. It could be not just the % of total time comparison but another indicator that reads your overall lifted weights and give a % on that as well, did you lift more or less than the previous month. Because sometimes you could change your training style for whatever reason and therefore work out lets say 6% less timewise BUT maybe you were more efficient with total weights lifted overall.
So relatable. Complaining that you are out of the flow because you have to go to the supermarket a few streets away. While walking is very good for me to be able to focus better later on. And yes, putting the phone away is something I could do more often. Thanks dude!
4:10 at this point, my way is to move away from the computer and go for a walk and try to solve it in my head (at least half solve it). Then come back and try to solve it with pen and piece of paper, without looking at the computer. 100% of the time you get a rough solution or narrow down to a few way to approach it.
I got my personal weekly (not monthly) but weekly schedule that never changes. As it keeps on repeating, I know what's coming next, how much time I will need, and how to pace myself without being exhausted all the time. I would recommend this to people who are juggling multiple things in life and trying to stay consistent.
Great advice. One of my goals this year has been to follow a weekly schedule like you. Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how being consistent in the little things will help me achieve the big dreams.

Paddle! It was a huge thing during the nineties in Argentina and then it disappeared. Love this series! It inspired me documenting the same journey but in Spanish :).
Yeah, kinda had the same experience with myself just before krimbo. All i can say that worked for me was that when i didn't want to sit in front of the computer hours on end where I tend to have the habit of trying to be [productive when I 100 percent don't want to be. Ill just put my pc on sleep, do something else, in my case artwork on guitars in my workshop. Then when i go back to my pc , i find that I solve the problems i had previously been spending hours on in a couple minutes.
Just started a small side project of making a calendar as well, however in JavaScript (Svelte). Luckily JavaScript Date objects are great, so just need to get all days in the month, then fill out any "gaps" before and after the month for the week.
Your content sets such a high standard for smaller RUclipsrs like myself. The mix of personal lifestyle, mental health, and coding/app development in this video is really cool and enjoyable. I'm inspired.
Can't wait to try this app. I would really benefit from having such an app to track my workout's. Keep up the good work, both with the vlogs/videos as well as the app itself.
I can understand you! I put some restrictions in my phone, so after 4 Hours of using some apps (like socials or youtube) the phon block them until the next day. And 4 hours a day is still a lot! I plan to decrease more and more, especially in the stressfull phases of work
Kalle, you got this man! I have followed your channel for years while I was in school and I finally got my first SDE job. Let me tell ya, I need this app. A big sacrifice I made while I was in school was for my health. I'd love to get back on track.
Hey Kalle! This is so cool, I am thinking the exact same "imagine if you could follow a startup founder", so I am also documenting it on my channel. I love your journey and watching these videos, it really motivates me!
Also, something, I did to improve productivity and limit distraction was cut out a lot of those gamers that stream daily. I am not talking about Jacksepticeye not like, that but the ones that stream every day and it appears in my RUclips Feed. It was a personal decision but felt, it was best, I just do not see those daily gaming streams. It was hard because, I like being part of the community but it was not helping with goals so, I decided to join a few of the language communities on RUclips instead.
I work in construction, study computer science, mountain bike, workout, work on my 4x4, and have purchased a season pass for snowboarding in winter. I do more then this but i cant focus's on one thing or i become board and uninterested. If i could stick to one career and one hobby i fell i would be better off.
You’re an inspiration that’s for sure. I’ve been trying to get in to app building, databases and all but I’ve noooo idea where I even start, and each day that goes past is a missed opportunity, and I’m getting old 😂. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
The amount of times you’ve changed the thumbnail of this video is sooo funny. I love your videos, don’t get me wrong. Just haven’t gotten to this one yet. But seeing the thumbnail morph from you in a bathtub, to a picture of a bathtub, to you in a bathtub differently again, to the current one of just your face has made me crack up. Hopefully these slight changes boost your video, cause I’m definitely seeing it!
Very good video, keep it up, great content. I don't know if I'm speaking on behalf of other people or just me, but personally I'm curious to see you in different videos in different places, do you have different houses or do you usually rent apartments to work? Please, if you see it well, could you make a video talking about those aspects? About changing places to get inspired or simply not always staying in the same place, greetings from Spain!
On 4:45 : I guess what could help you here is giving more meaningful names to your variables. First, you're using j as the indicator of the weekday, whereas in the double for loop you use it to indicate the j-th occurrence of a weekday. I think if you try to give more informative names, even to the counter variables, it makes it easier for others and for you to understand whats going on, especially when you look at it later on.
I am still learning Svenska and Russkie but, I had to slow things down a bit due to health reasons. Just not going as hard. I think, that saying, "Oh, I failed, I will try again next year. In my opinion, it is just an excuse to be lazy. I am more like, ehhh today did not work out, tomorrow is another chance to try again.
Easy to get overwhelmed because of all there is to learn out there. I go through the same thing. I like to think of all the guys the were getting in legal trouble for hitting websites like myspace before burpsuite even existed (how they did it back then). My answer to it is that I put all my time into it. People think I am strange for spending days and nights in front of 3-4 laptops, but if ever I feel obligated to spend time in a social situation, my analytical skills kick in and I listen to the people and remember why I avoid social situations. Note that when I am in those situations, it feels like an obligation because none of the people do what I do and if I said "python", they would think I was talking about the snake.
Hi, nice you are trying to learn a new language, hope I can help you with some correction. I am from Ukrainre and I use your videos to learn English. I really enjoyed your video and you give much motivation. Thank you.

Walking is a wonderful form of exercising jogging isn't bad but it puts so much strain on your joints and increases the risk of injury so try swapping it out. See if there are any local walking/ hiking groups in your area that will help to keep you motivated and accountable. I said it before and I'll say it again baths are supposed to be RELAXING!!! You seem like a really nice guy Kalle but I've unsubscribed. I came for the coding content which now makes up such a small % of your videos with the rest being shots of you in the bath, cooking breakfast, going to the shops etc.
There are tons of other coding RUclips channels. As a developer I appreciate this variety which is not focused in coding anymore. Do you want the ten thousandth video about Linux .bashrc files and aliases?
