It’s always because of someone else that he has been successful, but no Lions quarterback since Bobby Layne has accomplished what Jared Goff accomplished last year in over 60 years. Two playoff wins, NFC North division title, and what should have been a Super Bowl appearance, if not for the complete collapse by the team in the second half. I want him to get extended, I hope they don’t overextend, but with the rising cap, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets 48-50 million a year over four years.

I'm A JG fan, but he's not worth $50 million. Mahomes makes $45 mil and has three SB's under his belt. So based on that he should be making between $40 mil to $45 mil. Now BH can make a deal with JG based on performance. Each playoff game the Lions win with JG, he gets a $2.5 mil bonus. Four playoff wins mean a SB victory. That would be fair. At the end of the day he gets his $10 mil. Problem solved. One Pride! Go Lions!!

If they sign Goff to a 4 year deal at $50mil per year, they need to trade Hooker to recoup some draft picks.
They need to start trading some of these young guys after the season to get top value. Because we aren't going to be able to afford them.

Love Goff but $50M per is too much. $45M per would be a good deal for both sides and allow the Lions some cap flexibility to keep the team together for years to come.
