It's crazy because he tried to downplay Hollowheart and somehow the song still exceeded my expectations. Might just be in my Top 3 of his discography now.
A key message throughout Nurture was Porter's internal struggle with change. In many interviews Porter described trying to make new music after Worlds, where he shut himself in the studio and worked 6-7 hours a day trying to make new music post-Worlds, only drove him into a depression. There is also the psychological aspect of the "new"-ness if he did release new Worlds-era music. People adore and love the album but anything new would sound like a half-assed attempt or a copycat mimicking his style. Anything outside of the original 12 tracks would sound out of place because of how ingrained the songs are in our memory. I always thought that "Song For You" and "Harborside" barely even sound like Porter despite being from the era. It shows that we have our idea of what Worlds *should* sound like; something that Porter couldn't replicate even if he tried. We'll definitely see some new Worlds content when hollowheart releases but if you're really itching there is always the Worlds live versions, that in it's essence is "Worlds Part 2."
ITS SUCH GOOD SONG, SO EMOTIONAL 😭
That Bellwether ID sounds like the b-drop in "The Thrill (Worlds Live Remix 2.0)" 😍
