This video was shot earlier this year in August with a Lumix G9II running early pre-preoduction firmware with the Leica 12-60mm f/2.8-4 lens. Audio was recorded using the Hollyland Lark Max wireless microphone. Sorry about some shaky footage and less than optimal camera angle, I was fascinated by what I saw and didn't really pay too much attention to the camera angle most of the time. Big thanks to Hollyland for letting us visit your HQ office/factory!
Great display of how the G9ii might work as a documentary film making device! Do you remember what settings you used with regards to resolution, codec and so on? Also the colors look really nice, did you use a standard Panasonic v-log to rec709 as base?
Hi Simon, i was going to reply to your other message and ask you to watch this video, but you found this video already. I was shooting in 4k30 10 bit 420 LGOP MOV format. V-LOG picture profile. Autofocus setting is all area, with human detection. Auto White Balance. Shutter prioirty at 1/50s. Very lazy camera settings pretty much just point and shoot. For colour grading, I applied the LUT from Gamut: gamut.io/product/panasonic-conversion-lut-v-log/ in Davinci Resolve, didn't do much otherwise apart from some brightness adjustments. Didn't even have to adjust the white balance much at all. Only a few clips I shifted the white balance slightly to match with other clips
They are filmmakers, they shoot a lot of music videos but also did many product commercials for Viltrox, Zhiyun, Huawei..etc Piotr also runs @masterofcamera
I have a question, are Hollyland and Moma products compatible with each other? For example, if I have a Moma 400s pro transmitter and a Hollyland mars m1 receiver/screen, will they connect properly?
I pre-ordered the G9 II in early September. B&H sent me an email asking if I would like to “cancel my order and select another product”. Why did Panasonic announce the G9 II in September but not make it available to retailers, according to B&H, until late December?
My understand is that the G9I will be available in early-mid Nov, not late Dec. i think the date on B&H is not always accurate. I noticed recently the Nikon Zf date on B&H was wrong and a few weeks later than the day Nikon release the camera as well.
@@TheRealRichardWong Thank you, Richard. And thank you as well for your great content. I’m 70 now and still use video for my ranch and farm sales. I purchased the G9II because I have a lot of great M 4/3 glass that I use with my GH5. I truly appreciate all the time and effort you put into your wonderful videos. Jim in Oregon
