Dude - would appreciate your opinion on intermediates like people who send to Beckett or PSA for UK based people. Is Ace top in UK (new collector and got some charizards that I don’t want to trust in the wrong hands LOL). Any advice appreciated
Great video Matt! Very balanced. Appreciate you talking about the pros and cons and looking at the grading report. I've completed 3 submissions with Ace and all have been good experiences. I like their communication throughout the various steps of the grading process.
Overall I like Ace. I’ve had a couple of disasters now with labels that have been miscut or misaligned but I guess these are teething issues with the new case. Other than that, I would recommend! By far the best UK grading company
Ace stuff is massively undervalued. Every Ace 9 I've sent to PSA has come back as a 10, so their value should be a lot higher with their grading being stricter. The new slabs are fantastic too, and the Ace labels are great if you know which ones to go for.
@@Mattculli I've always thought a grading crossover comparison video would be a good idea but I'm not confident enough to get in front of a camera 🤣 I'd basically take a couple of Ace cards in a 9 or lower, film cracking them, send them to CGC, film cracking them then send off to Beckett and then finally crack those and send them off to PSA. Once they come back put together a little chart comparing grades & values and see what's the most "valuable" in terms of purchasing to regrade etc You can take that if you want it!
@@Mattculli ive just watched someone crack and submit about 40 ACE 9s and sent off to PSA as his friend did the same with 67 ACE 9s and i think he said 63 of them came back psa 10
My personal experience in general with ACE has been great (graded about 116 cards now). However, recently had a return, my second return with the new case, and it was very poor. Labels were falling out of their place, which doesn’t seem good enough to me. Why should the label fall out of place?? I also had a problem with the sleeves they are putting them in. A lot of my cards were poking out of the top of the sleeve. Anyway, I’m hoping they will sort it out for me in the next week and I hope that I can continue to be a happy ace customer because I do like the service, just not on my most recent occasion 😢
I just got 5 cards back today and they seem to have have chips on the corner and edge ware. This wasn't the case before sending off the cards to ACE grading. It is a real shame, I don't know if it is the penny sleeve that causes them to damage the cards or people at the company not handling my cards with care. Thankfully the cards I did get graded were the Charizard UPC which aren't expensive.
Hi matt great video I have graded over 500 cards with ace and had a few problems ie cards getting damaged but most of the time there great ace labels add so much to the card & look amazing I would say and I have been saying it for months I have cross graded over 75 ace 9 with psa and every one has come back a 10 to the point im buying ace 9s cheap breaking them and sending to psa so is a great way to get cheap psa 10s anyway keep the vids coming bud and mrs said thank for perfume lol
Been on the hunt for a decent UK based grader lately. Got alot of WoTC vintage cards I'm considering grading and PSA are soooooo expensive, especially when you have to estimate the value of your card or get upcharged. Like, I have 2 charizard... hownam i supposed to accurately estimate those when picking a tier! Ace is looking more and more appealing though, those and treefrog. I do like the Ace labels for full arts!
They are a good grading company for pretty slabs for display, not for value. If you want to resell, you're hurting yourself by not going straight to the big 3
I’d have liked you to speak about how much it cost to send off a card and how long it took to come back. Unfortunately it’s just how you said it is, PSA and Beckett have the monopoly. If you want to make money you will go to them. If not it’s just about preference of what you like the look of, some like Cgc. Ace do look like they have upped their game a bit though.
Interesting I sent my cards by the end of Nov to ACE and got them back before new years eve and they all got 752xx certificates. Yours are almost 78k which means they graded almost 3k cards somewhere. Nice 💪
I love ace. The custom labels are brilliant. I do wonder about they're centering limits though, I've a couple that got graded 10's that I just cannot see how. Very OC. But any 10 is a good 10! Nice video dude, need kore of these 👌
Cracking video again mate! I actually got my first Ace slab for Christmas (old type) and I must admit the feel and look of the slab is immense! I’ve always been a fan of there slabs mainly for the labels. I reckon they could have potential to be a high value slab like psa in the near future
@@Mattcullii personally asked Randy about this in his discord - Due to the case have a slightly larger aperture, the sleeve was added to prevent cards from shaking around - preventing potential edge damage

Not bad for storing cards with a pregrade to send to PSA later, the ones you don't crack and sell yourself don't really gain any value, glorified storage innit

I previously wasn't that keen on ace grading, but it looks like they've made a lot of improvements, so will definitely consider using them in future!

Wow really ace 9 crossover to a PSA 10! That’s not bad at all especially as a ace 9 goes for raw value

It’s a good loophole when you can’t find a cheap PSA 10.

Once ACE takes off in the other countries the value of there slab will increase. Love them
I really love the ace labels I wish more places put as much effort in as ace did. Happy new year, Matt!
The Ace labels have very nice designs!
yeah i really like them much nicer looking than PSA
Hey nice vid, im pretty new to the pokemon community but ACE have smashed it for grading in the uk
Welcome to the hobby buddy 😊
@@Mattculli appreciate it, keep up the good content :D

yeah someone else said they have been getting PSA 10s from Ace 9s...thats a great shout to try!
I've never graded cards before but I decided to get my SIR Charizard from 151 graded with an ace label
Nice! my special delivery zard came back as a 7 .. sad times lol.. keep up the great work my friend.
Awww gutting! Tbh that was the best Centerd zard I had lol
GRATS BRO ON YOUR GRADES
Thanks bud
Used ACE twice and highly recommend them. Great price, turnaround times and packaging.

Ace just keep growing and I would say the best UK company now
Nice Matt! Glad to see you're still at it, hope all is well :)

I'd say give them another one or two years and in Europe it will be the place to go.
The ace labels are a nice touch.
Some solid grades there from some very nice cards!
The special delivery charirzard is still available?
It will be a giveaway I think 😊
@Mattculli POKEMON aw no i thought you said in the video that they were sill available, like to get it free from pokemon centre
Surprised none of your stuff came back damaged. This happened to me twice, and seems to happen to a lot more people.
Yeah I have heard this but never had an issue myself....hope they sorted it for you though

Not too bad but seeing as cgc has a problem at #3 ACE has an uphill battle ahead of it.

Yeah the penny sleeve isn’t great takes away the shine
never had an issue with Ace, i like them

Massive backwards step on the penny sleeve. This company was advertised as the next big thing on the grading scene, not now unfortunately.
yeah I dont like the penny sleeve tbh

beckett sleeve too
Now crack them and send psa or Becketts , if you rate them start backing up the credibility against the big boys

ACE > PSA
Love Ace
To be honest, really dislike the coloured labels
Nah gave up on all except psa
Short answer: No
Appreciate the comment however ace does add value! Not as much as psa but it’s growing

Agreed, but the slabs are definitely far better quality than PSA.
