Man the time frame between Infinity War and Endgame was so intense. Felt like the whole world was waiting for what was going to happen. Russos, McFeely, & Marcus really did something special that time. Not sure it’ll ever be like that again cause I was there Thursday opening night for IW & early Wednesday screening for EG and I never experienced anything like that in the theaters. I have all the faith Russos and McFeely will give the fans, the causals, & us diehards two good Avengers movies again.

Bringing the Russos back. Sure it feels desperate and an attempt to guarantee Doomsday and Secret Wars are the big, successful winners they want and need them to be but at the end of the day it's so awesome to see them back. They have proven that they know how to handle and adapt these massive marvel stories as well as how to handle what a lot of directors would perceive as an overwhelming amount of characters. These two avengers films are the biggest thing marvel has ever done and if anyone is the best most reassuring choice to take it on its 100% the Russos. I have so much faith in them
Damn dude. I'm 27 and will be 29 when Doomsday comes out. I always think about the current generation of kids growing up with the MCU today. I graduated high school when Age of Ultron came out. Looks like you'll graduate when Secret Wars comes out.
Hopefully they don't screw up Doctor Doom. I know lots of people are not happy that RDJ is Doom, I personally would have preferred Killian Murphy... But obviously Doom will not be an Iron Man variant and rather Victor Von Doom. Doctor Doom should not take off his mask throughout the film, that would be better, cuz then RDJ is just there for acting purposes, and we know he is good at playing a villain, hence Oppenheimer. Also, for Reed not having a strong relationship with Doom, I hope this is untrue because the sole purpose of Doom's character is hating Reed Richards.
The nice thing about this RDJ Doom is with him being a variant, they can always cast a new Doom from the 616 Earth (official MCU Earth) and have it make sense.
That would all be ideal, but think about it for a second. Would you rather a brilliantly told story about a Tony Stark variant as Doom or an extremely rushed story with classic Doom.

RDJ coming back is interesting, but honestly that doesn’t do much for me. I could go either way on that. The Russo Brothers coming back with the same writing team, is a way better sign for the future of the MCU than the return of RDJ.
It goes together, but I agree - MCU misses good writing, like we just saw with Penguin on HBO of all things. RDJ should look at what Farrell just did with that character - he is unrecognizable and we just think of him as Ozwald. We need to have RDJ make us forget Tony and just be Victor.

Fk dat. Hulk only ever had one good story in the MCU and that was from Thor 3 - Infinity War- and Endgame. Smash Hulk was best realized by Bill Bixby 50 years ago. It never works in film because it's too one dimensional and silly. They can keep the story of Hulk moving - but they need to not go backwards to Hulk Smash....which is what you want. Been there done that, don't need to see it again.

You know how complicated it's going to be to make everything work since I believe the black widow movie was the first movie after endgame, with all the controversial plot holes and dry storylines except for doctor strange I guess and then they have to try to make a movie two parter thats a great story that wraps up everything with the inclusion of xmen and fantastic four but I don't doubt them a bit for there major success of infinity war and endgame still love movies so much

Endgame is an underrated masterpiece. It's right there with Dark Knight as - best film in this genre. The character arcs are amazing and like something you supposedly can't do - with stakes and awesome and devastating consequences. In a genre where many just want Mary Sue plot armor, and dull repetition.

Those who chose Infinity War do so because of the superior amount of action which is more common by far for a comic book film. Agree that they've had some fails. I didn't like the thing with Gosling and Evans which I don't even remember the name of. But Extraction 1 and 2 were both a lot of fun. And of course Everything Everywhere All at Once is a masterpiece - yes I know Joe is just a Producer on it, but hey Feige is just a producer too, and you can't have it both ways where you blame them for any associated failure but don't give credit, right. If they can learn fro EEAAO - and make a Doom movie close to that - it will be a damn site better than anything the MCU has done since Endgame.
Phase 4 & 5 has done such a terrible job of setting any future overcrossing story up that I can't help but feel the story setting up Avengers Doomsday for a 2026 and Secret Wars in 2027 won't feel rushed. I doubt many if any will be as invested in the characters and story as they were in Infinity War and Secret Wars. Also they spent 10 yrs developing the Infinity War saga to it's climax and 6 yrs developing Thanos as a threat in the background whereas Doomsday and Secret Wars feel like they have barely been set up aside from Loki season 1 & 2, Spiderman No Way Home, Doctor Strange 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine. An even then mostly vaguely aside from Loki. Also Downey's Doctor Doom will only get like 1 yr of set up in 1 or two films before his titular Avengers film. That being the Fantastic Four First Steps where unless he is cast as a supporting or lead character in that F4 universe will likely only be in an end credits seen and then there's the possibility of him appearing to Tom Hollands Spiderman in Spiderman 4. However I don't want Spiderman 4 to touch the Multiverse.

Please, please don't make Dr Doom so different from the comics like you did with Thanos, guys. That was such a disappointment that you not only deviated so far from who Thanos was in the comics, to the very weak plot point of him wanting to kill off half the universe to help people when he could have just made more resources. Thanos was supposed to be highly intelligent. He was utterly ruined in my opinion. Endgame and Infinity War were great movies, just the motivation of Thanos fell very, very short.

Phases 4-6 arent being cohesive at all. Theres nothing built up, just acumulative stories with no resolution or potential future of becoming something bigger. No developement or bases at all after 5 years. You cant save that nor make an epic ending note with the UCM just because you brought back old glories. I dont understand the oportunistic excitement.

@@michaelwilliams1453Spiderman 4 should be a grounded street level story featuring Daredevil, Kingpin, Black Cat and no MJ like the comics. Like it was originally intended to be. However rumour is Sony want it to be another Multiversal film so they can bring back Tobey andAndrew. An that's purely because Sony are just seeing dollar signs after the success of No Way Home. An when a movie being made is more motivated by money than story it's usually a very very bad sign. An seeing as Sony ultimately own the rights to Spiderman they likely get their way to a significant degree.
F Sony. The only thing they've done right with Spiderman on their own in the last 10 yrs in the animated Spider verse films. Though most of the credit there goes to Phil Lord and Chris and their leagues of animators.

I agree. IW and EG had a decade of build up hence they came up so good and flourished. They definitely haven't had a setup for DD and SW so hopefully they do the best with what they have right now
Please, please don't make Dr Doom so different from the comics like you did with Thanos, guys. That was such a disappointment that you not only deviated so far from who Thanos was in the comics, to the very weak plot point of him wanting to kill off half the universe to help people when he could have just made more resources. Thanos was supposed to be highly intelligent. He was utterly ruined in my opinion. Endgame and Infinity War were great movies, just the motivation of Thanos fell very, very short.

Phases 4-6 arent being cohesive at all. Theres nothing built up, just acumulative stories with no resolution or potential future of becoming something bigger. No developement or bases at all after 5 years. You cant save that nor make an epic ending note with the UCM just because you brought back old glories. I dont understand the oportunistic excitement.
